It’s funny, while waiting I was reading reviews and thought people are so impatient and have time to write reviews for a bank.

When I went to the Teller girl, I was recalling all the reviews that I just read and bro the girl literally said I don’t know how to do the thing.

The other branches are much better, these guys are operating this branch as a private franchise location. They have their own policies.

My Mistake I went there, even after the reviews session.

Scotiabank has defaulted existing customers to unethical overdraft protection fees.

Without seeking direct written or verbal consent they switched customers with existing overdraft protection and established overdraft funds (which could be accessed at maximum of $5/month fee, when used) to a $5 per/transaction penalty.

In effect, this places undue pressure on overdraft users to sign on to a $5 per/month flat fee that is charged whether you use it in a given month or not.

You must opt out of being defaulted out of a fee-for-as-needed-service into a non-consensual penalty scheme. This is not fair dealings.

In other words, if you only take the time to track whether you are meeting your obligations to your bank you need to budget your time to ensure you can track whether your bank is meeting their ethical obligations to you.

This branch's response to concerns regarding this practice was underwhelming.

Worst branch we have ever dealt with. Assistant Manager takes forever to reply and when does just gives a 1-800 number to call because problem isn't hers. Sure do miss the branch that was closed in the Glenmore area.
Zero stars, but wasn't given the option. Your Welcome!

Why we will never deal with the scotia bank ever
branch lady very nice we were needing some euros she said they did not have any and to please go to there orchard location as she had phoned the other day and they had lots we proceeded there and were told as we were not customers they would not sell us any euros for our trip

If I could give zero stars I would.

If you want to bank with people that seem to have no regard for human need of food, to pay bills, and rent go to this location. I have two jobs and both are cheque based companies. Scotiabank has a hold policy where you have to spend more money with them in order to not have holds on cheques. I have missed countless bills, been late on rent and have gone hungry many nights because of this God forsaken bank. I work my butt of so I do not have to worry about money, and yet I still go hungry.

I am depressed thanks to you Scotiabank, Thank You.

Customer Service I would give 0 out of 5 Stars if I could.
Branch Manager Aaron is out of line and very rude. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK! Managers like that should not be managing a Store with this kind of attitude.

Had a credit card sent here and took two months to arrive. Had difficulty picking it up.took a few trips. Bad parking lot.

Bank Manager is rude and out of line! This Bank needs an overhaul in the customer service department not the Furniture.

The branch manager refuses to credit my car loan. It breaks my heart. I have lost all confidence with the Dilworth Branch Manager. When I give you $160 I expect you to credit my car loan. I feel ripped off. Did you use my money on your vacation? I call, I visited the Lakeshore branch but no one can solve the problem. I give the Scotia Dilworth branch Negative - 160 stars.

Krystal and Jazz helped me out with some banking problems. They are 2 of the smartest people I've ever met. They helped sort everything out and then went me a bit further and connected me with their commercial advisor. I love this branch.

On February 25th I visited the Dillworth Scotiabank because my own branch at Lakeshore was temporarily closed. My teller was Krystal who greeted me nicely, answered all my questions and provided exceptional face to face service with no rush. This is why most bank customers at present prefer going to the bank the traditional way over banking online.
Krystal provided excellent personalized service and even wished me "An Excellent Day with a smile STAMP! "
All competitors have a great lesson to learn from Scotiabank at Harvey and Dillworth location. Great job Krystal! I promise to be back again and bring a potential customer who needs a mortgage.

Really not sure how the branch manager can keep his job. I've been banking with Scotia for over 2 years, and paying all my bills, and could not get a credit card to save my life or get my checks cashed without waiting over a week. I went to TD bank and instantly got a credit card and a much better cash rate on checks.
These people get payed to lend money, but they don't seem to want to work very hard to do it.

Branch Manager Ward Fitzpatrick lied about banking rules. He got caught in the lie, tried to back-track then got frustrated. I went to another branch and was able to get everything sorted in 5 mins. Would not trust this location.

Not surprised to see such low ratings. Let me add another. Huge isssues getting answers to basic questions. How does this branch even stay open? By rotating staff daily it seems and brushing off legitament customer issues. Atm door locked at unreasonabke hours and the atm will likely have issues even if you do get in. At least there is a liquor store next door while you wait in frustratuon for simple tasks to not be completed.

I have been a scotiabank customer my whole life and this branch has been nothing but useless. The one time I get paid by check from my employer who i have worked for for the last 14 months, theres a hold on it, after months ago having a conversation that my checks would no longer be held. I go to my main branch who wont release more than a certain amount and the woman Crystal, told me to be patient and was very rude. I call after 3 business days and Crystal still won't release the rest of my check, even though Scotiabank is the same bank that my work deals with. Absolutely ridiculous and will be switching banks.

Have been a customer with them for over a year now and working with the same company. They still have me on this 100$ check hold after being told it would stop after 90 days. A year later it's still happening. I went it to complain and cancel my account and the girl was super ignorant (Elena was her name) Incase your wondering. She told me to watch my attitude and that it was super easy to increase your cash back. Obviously not if I still only have 100$ cash back after a year and a half? It took almost an hour to cancel my account. And even with money in the account, I was charged an overdraft fee because apparently its policy when cancelling. Today I signed up with BMO, I got 100$ promotion money for signing up, the girls at the counter were super helpful and released my WHOLE CHECK on the FIRST visit, because they knew well of my company and see these checks regularly.

All in all. I should have switched banks a year and a half ago.

My experience is always pleasant at the branch. Yes, they have trainees often, and that delays service. I wish they kept their employees for long time, as it also helps if tellers know you and your banking situation for a better and faster service.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service at this location. I dealt with both a male teller and the branch manager. At first the male teller would not deposit a properly endorsed cheque. Left and spoke with customer service in the car who said it should not be an issue to cash the cheque and that they can speak to the teller. Went back, stood in line for 10 minutes at minimum and explained that customer service would talk to them and explain how to cash the cheque. The male teller didn’t even bother speaking to the customer service representative and the manager came over - they were both very rude and unwilling to help. The manager started telling me that there would be issues should my boyfriend and I break up at which point I cut her off as that seemed EXTREMELY unprofessional of her. I have been with Scotiabank for at least 20 years and I have never had such awful service. Do not go to this branch as they are not friendly and totally unwilling to help. Would give 0 stars for the lack of help if it were possible.

Door leading to ATM WAS LOCKED AT 9: 30PM. I ASSUME THEY DON'T ALLOW ACCESS AT ALL AFTER HOURS. VERY POOR!
