No costumer service at all, I used to get draft cheque from other branches with my power authority’s, without any issues or waiting but I went there to get the draft with my power authority, they tried to not give it to me and their boss accepted them, I have been there for around 1.5 hour and at the end I got my draft. They were not helpful.

It’s almost impossible to reach anyone by phone at the branch. You get shunted to the call centre who then tries to connect you, but ultimately the system hangs up, and this is after a long wait. Epic fail Scotia bank.

To do banking, I try to go to other branches of Bank of Scotia other than Lansdale branch. I am always afraid to meet a person called Mr. Sepahdar Montazeri. Lazy, nosy and unprofessional teller.

A Teller is the advertising window of the bank. If the Scotia bank officials know what damage a teller named Mr S. Montazeri is doing to their reputation, they would prefer to close the Lansdale branch.

Absolutely incompetente staff and management. I have had several issues at this branch depositing cheques. It's often a clerical error made by the teller. They hold your money hostage and you have no way of contacting them because your call goes straight to answering machine. I am lodging a complain with head office in addition to this review.

Waiting time is insane. No doubt they 8 customer service & one reception. But they never have more than 3 people who are super slow. Average wait time 30-40mins.

The lineup here is always super long and they never have enough tellers. The tellers also don't seem to have much urgency to their work. Avoid coming in person if you can.

I have stopped depositing cheques in person because every time I go in there is an issue. I’ve been questioned so many times about why I’m depositing such large cheques. Even though they are all in the same price range and I have told them so many times what I do. (My pay cheques isn’t big just for the record, talking a few thousand not 10s of thousands)

The customer service is terrible and I’ve felt the people working have a tendency to help a specific demographic a lot more than others.

Scotiabank lonsdale doesn’t care about customer service or hiring competent works. Seems more like a club than a actual banking institution.

The consistency of the dismal, incompetent service at this branch never ceases to astound me with each visit. Hopefully today was my last. I would avoid this place like an infectious ward.

Worth bank to have your business account with. 1 star is even very high score for this bank.
The business account representative is usually taking vacation once in a month and she is on vacation whenever you need her.
I applied for HASCAP loan for my business on Nov 13 2021, its took the business account manager 36 days to have my conditional approval.she called me on Dec 19 and she told me the condition and she said I am taking vacation for 2 weeks and I ll transfer your file to branch manager to help you with your document and conditions.than the branch manger did nothing and resigned on Dec 24 with no notice to me and other client. Than I went to the bank on Dec 28 ask for my application and they pass my application to personal account manager and she said the best thing for you is wait until your business account manager come back from vacation. Than she came back on Jan 4 and they could not do any thing for my application.even for Government secured loan they need first security charge, this is very frustrating for businesses specially in this hard time.
This is worth banking experience I had and I will close my business and personal account for good.
I DONOT RECOMMAND SCOTIA BANK TO ANY ONE.
ZERO RESPECT FOR OLD GOOD CUSTOMER AND ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I deeply hope Scotia management read all these command on this branch because you guys losing business.

I got my debit card stole while walking my dog one block away from the this branch. This is my branch, and they told me They could not do anything for me. While talking to them and trying to convince them to lock the card, I got fraudulent charges. They did nothing for me. They have no proper trained staff, basic request are not capable to deliver. Not happy with the branch, makes me want to change my bank. Good thing they are two new branches being open in the area.

This is the absolute worst branch I have ever dealt with, Scotiabank or any other bank wise.

Multiple departments seem to have the same ongoing issue of terrible communication and response times. They take absolutely forever getting back to you, waste so much time with arranging meetings and sending emails gathering basic information in multiple steps that could all be collected in one meeting or be communicated it’s needed previous to in person meetings. People go on vacations in the middle of time sensitive matters without communicating they will be unable to fulfill the requirements needed by the customer.

The amount of times I have tried to change basic or important information with them and it gets lost in translation is a number I have lost count of.
After dealing unsuccessfully with multiple issues this year I will be leaving this branch.

Really really really really really really bad customer service. Made an appointment three times. Got cancelled twice. On third time, show up, banker doesn't work here anymore, no one can see me. Unbelievable.

Zero Stars Would be too much! Lonsdale Branch Terrible Service! LAZY Employee! Not Impressed. Vitoria is worst employee who has not fixed the issue over 2months. I met her 3 times and issue is still the same. She said that she is going to work on my issue and did not get any call or outcome. Is that employee sleeping at bank? Why they hired an employee who does not know how to fix the problem. As a result, I am suffering pain and going through pretty serious error. DO NOT BANK WITH SCOTIA.

This really is the worst bank/branch. The staff is generally okay but this must be lack of management. Difficult to get a hold of people and appointments. Asked several times to speak with a manager with no success. Looking at reviews, this shows I'm not the only one who experiences these issues.

I'm always happy with the service here. (10 years now) Persian, Chinese, Canadian or other personnel etc.they're all great people. Customer service is extremely challenging and hard, especially if you have to deal with rude customers and all day long.

This review is regarding Fatima, who is a financial advisor at Lonsdale Scotiabank. If I could give this woman a zero star rating I would. What a horrific display of "customer service" I received from this woman today. The appointment started with her being over 5 minutes late. Which happens. But not only did she not say hello, she also didn't apologize for her tardiness. From the minute I walked into her office, I felt her judging my fiancé and I. She didn't introduce herself, ask us how our day was or make any small talk, in fact, she simply sat there on her computer not saying a word before addressing my partner and I. We had to initiate the conversation which felt extremely odd. She was looking me up and down with judging looks the entire time, I almost felt like she might have been acting jealous which is very strange or maybe she was acting like she was better than us, its hard to say, but it was not good. When addressing us she was very stern, abrupt and unfriendly. She did not listen to anything I said I found myself repeating myself several times. I am not entirely confident she applied my financial information correctly to the service I was applying for. She questioned my income, and continued to not believe me when I repeated what I made, and what I had made over the previous 5 years. To be honest, I have never felt more insulted in my entire life by one individual. My partner and I do quite well financially and we work hard, and have been loyal customers for many years. We were dressed well, polite and engaging. There was no reason for her judgement and rudeness. After banking with scotia for many years, this has made me feel so insulted to the point that I may withdraw all of my services and go else where. Stay away from this woman, she makes you feel like you are taking up her precious time and is maybe the rudest person I have ever come across in a customer service experience.

Bruuuuutal! I’m paying twice the unlimited fees and trying to get it fixed but it takes over 3 weeks to get a simple task done and still after visiting the brach and emailing with 3 different people, NOTHING! They close at 3pm so I have to go in at lunch or weekends. The manager will be fired I can imagine at this rate. I’m going to switch branches because they are so incompetent!

I am a victim of identity theft. Someone opened credit card accounts under my name and it crashed my credit score. All necessary steps have been taken in order to repair back my credit score. Scotiabank on the other hand, is making it worse. First, they decreased my credit limit on my Line of Credit. Called them and explained what happened, they told me to just reapply again for an increase once my credit score is high enough. Few days later, received a letter saying my Line of Credit has been closed! This means that my credit rating will even go lower as my overall balance is now way more than my credit limit (which means higher credit utilization). Called the number on the letter to explain the whole identity theft situation, they advised me to go the bank, went to the bank and they said they couldn't do anything so they gave me another phone number to call (Fraud Department). Called them and explained (4th time) and they said they can't do anything on their part and transferred me to another line which made me explain it again (5th time) and they said the only way to fix it is through the branch so I went to the branch the 2nd time and explained to them 6th time. Again the branch said they couldn't do anything and gave me another number to call. I called one more time and the guy on the other line insisted only branch can handle this, I let them talk to one another.the guy on the branch keep insisting there is no manager or any advisor available at the branch. Even the guy on the line is in disbelief that no one at the branch can help me. The guy at the branch even encouraged me to file as many complaint as I can instead of offering solution! I have been a customer of Scotiabank for 6 years and I have been treated like I am not worth of their time. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Unfortunately, The Business Advisors at this branch do not know anything about helping there customers, or assisting with Developing healthy accounts. She spent 95% of her time 'trying" to convince me that i need a high interest credit card, even after i refused multiple times that no that is not what i am looking for! She 'insisted' on telling me how great a deal locking into a high interest Rate credit card Agreement is.

The most horrible customer service ever! Every time I have to stop in at this branch there is always issues with simple banking. Supervisors are of no help and they refuse to do anything over and above for any customer.

I donno why this branch doesnt have the best review score, but the staff are super helpful and kind there, I've been banking with Mehran, James and Ali.
Been working with this branch for years and have a couple of products with them and always had very good experience.

Dealt there over 17 years. Used to be top notch but slipped badly in past 2-3 years. Everything you ask is met with a negative answer. Don't return messages.

Banks are less than ideal at the best of times. But I've been treated respectfully at all times and any problems I've had have been with the bank system itself, not with the people working here.

Worst bank ever. Cant wait to pull out all my money, pay off my visa and close my accounts entirely with this bank. Still held my checks, even though it was all the money I had at the time, having just moved to a new city. Wouldn't help me in any way, and was told that any bank would hold my checks that long. Approved increased overdraft and then decided to reject it after all, without getting back to me as to why, after they were supposed to let me know in the first place.nah, three strikes and you're out Scotiabank. Bye.

Will be closing down all my scotia accounts and taking my savings from Scotiabank. The financial advisor we were given was a total crook who just wanted our money to be put into high risk tsfa and would not give us any really answers, pressured us to come back in with our SIN numbers asap or to leave them on his voicemail. Told us our previous accounts were no longer active and we had to set up new ones. We have been charged today for bth accounts which were both fee less accounts! I will be getting everyone in my family to leave this bank. Beware with YOUR money,

I visited this branch a few days ago, a teller who name is Ali, does not know what he should do, not knowledgeable about rules, not coachable person, lack of attitude and a lot of personality issues. He fit for BUTLER job.

The rank of this branch is 2.4 out of 5, so I realized the reason now, a lot of restaurants have ranked more than this bank branch. Hopefully, this branch will close, such as another one was in Marine Dr.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, ALI (teler) IS VERY RUDE.

I came in yesterday and was helped by Parth Sharma, I am lucky enough to have him as one of my regular tellers. He is very helpful. I came in with questions about online banking and he helped me even though his shift was finished for the day. He is very thoughtful and considerate when helps me. My cheque was cashed on time and I’m happy!

I have tried to open an account with Scotia, I came into the branch, signed the papers and left with a debit card. The account is still on "hold" as if I hadn't been into the branch yet - the teller forgot to finish the work. I have called and left messages, and had a service request send from the Scotiabank "contact us" line with no response. I will be closing the account and ending the banking relationship promptly.

Bad service. They don’t know how to count money and you have to wait so long. Some of them are really nice and try to help but most of them have a really bad face all the time.

Trying to call the 'LOCAL' branch on Lonsdale, however I always get transferred to a 'NATIONAL' rep. I want to talk to a specific branch! Answer the phone at the branch! There's someone sitting at the front desk greeting people, pick up the phone! (obviously very frustrating)
