The best little spot for a cider flight. Great ciders (Witches Broom is my fave) both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area

We visited Sea Cider for the first time in February 2023 and then decided to get married there in September. It's a beautiful location. There's a scenic forest for the ceremony, a patio for cider tasting overlooking the orchard (and the ocean in the distance), and a spacious pavilion for dinner and dancing. When first deciding upon the location, we could hear traffic noises, but once everyone's there for a gathering, it's not noticeable at all. The staff were super friendly-especially Jura, who was assigned to us back in February and who kept in contact with us the entire time and answered our many questions thoroughly and patiently. The cider itself is some of the best we've ever had-our favourite is Bittersweet. Thank you so much for making our day stress-free!

We ordered the warm mulled cider for $10 each and it arrived as a diner-breakfast style cup about 2/3rds full for each of us. There is about 2 small sips worth of cider for $10… a bit much.

Our food came with dips and a small bowl of tortilla chips that were crumbled and tiny, it looked like the bottom of a chip bag was poured out. We asked for some non-broken chips so we could actually dip our chips and they charged us $5 for this.

One of us mentioned these to the staff and they took a couple bucks off each person’s bill. We were so excited to visit because we love the cider but were very disappointed with the portions and presentation. Make sure to wear warm clothes, there is no heater outside!

Drove out from Victoria and arrived approximately an hour before they closed hoping for a quick cider tasting.

We were told we couldn't try their cider as we didn't have a reservation. I would understand that if it was busy but it was 1/4 full. I saw 7+ open tables and not anyone around. Hostess said she could "put us on the waitlist" if we were okay waiting 25 minutes. 25 minutes for what! There were tons of open tables and noone there.

Enjoyed this quaint ciderhouse, located beside the water and overseeing their orchard. My parents had fun trying out the Fan Favourites and got a bottle home. The presentation of their food and flight was lovely, but because of the sweetness of the cider, there were a lot for small flies going around.

One of my favourite cideries in the province. Nestled between the ferry terminal and Victoria, they produce a variety of memorable ciders by blending with various fruits and other flavours such as cranberries, cherries, blackberries, Douglas fir, hibiscus, etc besides traditional English-style dry ciders. All the while you can enjoy the view of the orchard before the ocean from the terrace.

Sea cider has been one of my favorite cideries I've been introduced to from a few years back! I'm glad I finally made it to the source because it was quite a fun experience. Didn't get to try the food, but the charcuterie board next to us looked unreal. 100% going back!

Lousy service. Serving staff seem new and poorly trained. Long wait for our bread and cheese, had to ask the server about it, were almost done our flights of drinks before the food arrived. The food and drinks are decent but way overpriced. Won't be going back.

My wife and I went here as part of our private tour of Vancouver Island and Victoria. We were excited because we had never done a cider tasting before. The property is set right next to the apple orchard and you can see the water as well. There is a building with merch and cider in it for sale, then a patio area where we did our tasting. It was lovely outside in early August, so we sat a picnic table. We tasted 12 ciders - 6 Classics and 6 Fan Favourites. We had a fun time tasting and writing little faces on the lists next to the way we felt about each one. Our favorite was the Flagship. We didn't taste any food as we had already had lunch, but the service was lovely and the manager (?) explained our tasting and seated us with utmost professionalism. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this lovely farm.

This is specifically a wedding review. We were married at Sea Cider and it's a near-perfect venue. The forest is a breathtaking ceremony space and the new pavilion is an absolute dream reception space. Our guests raved about it, and we will cherish visits back in the future. You get the trees, the ocean view, the orchard, and a really functional and beautiful reception area all in one, which is so rare. The cider is great, and the food we had at the rehearsal was also really nice. It's a stand-out venue.

Our coordinator for the lead-up, Evita, was great despite being relatively new at her job. She was super responsive, knowledgeable, and clear, even when we had a hundred questions for her. Really personable and made our site tour extra fun and special. She's exactly what you'd want out of a venue contact.

The day-of staff were the only thing that fell short. Thankfully we had an incredible separate coordination team that kept the event on track (Wednesday Wedding Co), but Sea Cider's day-of coordinator and bar staff looked really unhappy all day, were super slow with drinks, and were behind the 8-ball with timing and execution. The day-of coordinator actually left before dinner was over and the only reason the tables got cleared is because my coordinator's team did it. Sea Cider was really receptive to this feedback after the fact, but my only caution would be to recommend a solid outside coordinator until they smooth that out. Overall, a great venue!

UPDATE: Sea Cider has been consistently getting better in the three years since we moved to the area and I now rate them as a top spot for visitors to Victoria. They have a great selection ranging from dry to sweet and now including their "Temperance" brand of non-alcoholic ciders, their ciderhouse has a wonderful view over the orchard to the Gulf Islands, and on recent visits the staff have been nothing short of lovely. Their patio is dog-friendly too!

Definitely a great 45-min stop if you're passing on the way to/from the ferries.

We were at a wedding reception here. I can't imagine a better location. Absolutely stunning scenery. The cider is pretty damn good too.

I have since visited and also read several reviews. If you don't have a reservation don't even try for a walk in. I could absolutely accept being told they had no availability but it was the attitude of the hostess that really grated on my nerves. But the attitude plus being told we could buy a full priced bottle and drink in the parking lot was the icing on the cake. This place is obviously popular and they have a nice little shop with a good selection of food and merch. I wish they had been friendlier and that walk ins was even a possiblity.

We chose Sea Cider as our wedding venue and it felt like the best decision we made in all of our wedding planning. Everyone we interacted with at Sea Cider went above and beyond to help us plan (shoutout to Evita!) and the venue itself is amazing. The pavilion (photos here) was a beautiful place for our reception with ocean views, and the ceremony in the forest was exactly what we wanted. All of this, plus the cider itself is really good! Highly recommend going here for a tasting and enjoying the beautiful view and really great selection of ciders. We will definitely be back.:)

Good appys and a view!

Ridiculously slow service this Saturday. Staff seemed young & very overwhelmed by the internet being down. Can't pour tasters without internet? I left after waiting 15 minutes while the server fiddled with technology.

Good views, delicious ciders, and the fireplace experience was the perfect touch! It’s worth the visit.

What an amazing experience! The staff and cider are amazing. For a large or small group, this is a must experience just outside of Victoria

We showed up the other night at least an HOUR before closing (with NO other clients around) and the tasting room was already CLOSED! So we weren't allowed to try the cider before we bought it. We were from out of town visiting, so this reception was a little disappointing.
