This hidden cozy restaurant is located adjacent to the shipyards skating rink and is serving up some very good appies and entrees. The presentation is top notch with extra effort put into each of their dishes. The scallops were very nicely presented with a scallop shell made of phyllo dough nestled into it was trout caviar, and a ginger scallop mousse sitting on top of a creamy wild mushroom risotto, but I felt that four relatively small scallops was weak for serving size. The risotto was nice and creamy but prob could have used a bit of herbs or seafood broth to kick it up a notch, and the ginger mousse had little ginger taste. The sable fish was perfectly pan fried with a nice golden crisp finish and again excellent presentation with prawn cake croquettes, micro kelp, on pureed cauliflower, broccolini and a Nori sand. A very good dish but the nori sand seemed to be missing something to make it more of a stand out as the nori flavor was very mild, perhaps some crisp shiso leaf would help. The prawn cake was very kinda dried prawn tasting. The appetizers were excellent, the spicy karagge chicken was crunchy and tender with a nice spicy sweet sauce, the wagyu flank steak was nicey presented and full of flavor, the tuna bites on a cruchy nori chip was great, and the artichoke dip dish was rich and cheezy. Happy hour before 4: 30 offers $1 a shuck oysters and some nice wine and beers. Definitely one of the best seafood restaurants on the North Shore 4.5/5

Best kept secret brunch spot on the North Shore! This spot is a hidden gem - the food was flavorful and high quality! The ambience was relaxing and warm, and the service was excellent! Highly recommend the lobster benny and the French omelette! These were their specials and they were both delicious! The house Caesar was a meal on its own! Check this place out! I can’t wait to go back for dinner!

It is always an amazing experience every visit my family from kids to grandkids had at Seaside. Food, service, ambiance are always great from breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's the reason we are frequent visitors there. To Vadim and all all the Seaside staff, thank you. Keep it up!

I had my small business' holiday party here this evening. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially for our small group. The manager was fantastic and friendly, the food was great, the service was great and everyone left super happy. They went above and beyond and I really appreciate them treating our small team like a big deal. I would absolutely come back, and definitely recommend Seaside Provisions.

We came during Happy Hour and enjoyed the Bridge Brewing Bourbon Blood Orange beer on tap and the lobster roll. The chilli garlic prawns were so spicy that I couldn't eat any, and he only ate one.
Given the cold wind and rain, I enjoyed being next to the fire. The nautical theme was an enjoyable accent without being overbearing.

Happy hour menu is worth it!
Buck a shuck? , small plates 50% off. Everything was great - we tried fried chicken, lobster roll, scallops, prawn, truffle potato, brussel sprouts.

Although most dishes would be too expensive IMO if full price (34$ for a few scallops) Lobster roll would have been 19$ for a lukewarm roll with too much mayo

Brussel sprouts were quartered and too burnt. Def have had better crispy brussel sprouts at other happy hours!

The toasted bread that comes with the prawns was cold and not crispy. Just small details like this would be a 3-4 stars if paid full price. But happy hour so can’t complain

Love Happy Hour at Seaside. The happy hour specials are amazing. The food is very good. Way better quality than the usual hotel fare. We had a wonderful waiter named Cam. Very personable, but not in your face. Was attentive but not overly attentive so one would feel like he was trying to rush you out. Overall a wonderful experience. It was not busy that night, but it didn't make the experience less enjoyable.

It’s always frustrating to see what passes for 5 star dining in North Vancouver. This is a lovely room and an inviting menu but it comes up really short when compared with restaurants costing north of $150 pp for a meal. Seafood seemed high quality and ingredient fresh, but the kitchen just wasn’t on their game. From the handful of stale tortilla chips thrown casually on the seafood tower, to a very indelicately flavoured and thinly stocked $54 cioppino which would have been a disappointment at $15, there were only a couple of reasonably well made cocktails to feel good about. In short, There are far better restaurants in this price range. Spend the effort and cross a bridge…

Joined them for happy hour today and the value was Peach flavored cocktail, $1 oysters, and scallops! Everything was very fresh. I particularly enjoyed the scallops. Those jumbo sized scallops were very tender which made them a perfect fit for the crispy potato pave underneath. The salad had a hint of citrusy sweetness, which balanced quite well with the scallops. My only complaint might be the bacon was a bit tough and chewy instead of crunchy. But in general, their Happy Hour is definitely a steal!

Great Happy Hour! Great service! Great atmosphere! We arrived without a reservation but were lucky a table was available. Next time we'll definitely reserve. The host kindly assisted with my walker and stowed it away from traffic. My son and I shared maple glazed fried chicken, brussels sprouts with guanciale, lobster and prawn roll, garlic chili prawns, and salmon tacos. All were 5/5 except the tacos 4/5 because the corn tortilla was very dry and broke apart on first bite. Still tasty though. Finished off with a deconstructed tiramisu which was beautifully presented but a bit of a miss taste wise (delicious mascarpone but dry lady fingers and only four dabs of chocolate/coffee sauce). Hope to return soon.

Last night I went to this restaurant around 4: 45z we order steak and some happy hour dishes. When waitress asked me if I want my steak come separately or all together. I said all together. But after waiting for an hour I still didn’t get my steak.

Most important. We had oyster. Oh my god. After home. We both have very very bad diarrheal.

A must visit! Happy hour EVERY DAY from 3-6pm. A buck a shuck oysters and half price on all small plates. Friendly staff and cozy ambience. Would highly recommend.

The oyster is so fresh. Creamy and salty at the same time. Balanced.

Randomly stumble upon Seaside Provisions for their happy hour. Buck a shuck that is pretty much non existence in Vancouver anymore. Amazing happy hour menu and the food were 10/10. Great overall experience and would definitely come back!

Seaside Provisions is a restaurant inside the lobby of the Seaside Hotel. It's right in front of Shipyards, which is a great place to go with the family, for a walk or even for a date. This restaurant is usually pretty busy so reservations are recommended. Parking is a pain here, so be ready to either walk or pay for parking underneath the hotel. The staff here is incredible, especially Fiona. Super nice, very helpful, and quick with service. The food here is really good, and although a bit pricey, the taste and portions are really good. Chicken Karage is a go to. About 2 dozen tables inside, some tables outside and a bar section with TVs. Highly recommended if you're in North Vancouver.

We had an amazing meal here! So happy to finally try this place and I cant wait to go back! Service was 10/10, and the food was unreal. The only thing I want to note is that the batter on my fish and chips was quite soggy but still delicious nonetheless and the karaage was divine.

Well priced and decent food. We went for brunch and at the time there was only 1 poor guy who was having to do everything, from seating to serving to pour drinks, but he did a great job and was hustling the whole time.

Looking for a place to try one of fixed Menu of #DineoutVancouver we could get a table in this hidden corner in Shipyards. Cozy place and amazing service. 3 of my party of 4 asked for the Dine out menu, the fourth asked for the same soup that was in the pre fixed menu but the amount was different, almost double. Steak and seafood was really tasteful, lobster and prawns were combined with a tenderloin that melt in your mouth. Dessert was delicious but honestly the chocolate créeme brûlée was too big and cloying. Menu was 49 CAD worth it completely but I don’t know if I would come back again to try other dishes.

Fantastic staff, our three course dinner was 90% amazing. We believe they received a fatty order of tenderloin (10%). The GM took care of us, very nice man. Please have dinner there. It was a bit loud but go and experience it.

Small portions, high prices for what you get. Average quality food, at least during this particular meal. No actual patio. As Shipyards has so many places with nice patios, we probably won't return.

We were extremely impressed with both the food and the service. The steak was one of the best I've had in a long time. The server was very professional and attentive without being overbearing. Great experience; we will be back.

My boyfriend and I came here for happy hour and they did not disappoint! We ordered a mix of foods from the happy hour and regular menu including the 1/2 dozen kusshi oysters, the lobster rolls, wagyu flank steak, kale and artichoke dip, and scallop risotto. The flavours of the food undoubtedly get an A+, but I would highly recommend the wagyu flank and scallop risotto. The flank was cooked to perfection with a flavourful and unique sauce, and the risotto was extremely rich with the scallops served in a shell pastry which was surprisingly yummy and I had never had anything like it, 10/10 for presentation as well!

The only negative things I have to say is that I wished their buck a shuck lasted all throughout happy hour (it oddly ends at 4: 30pm) and we only found out when we got there as our reservation was at 5. The kusshis we were served were also on the smaller side which I wouldn’t consider worth it for $2 each, but super fresh nonetheless and just something to keep in mind. The restaurant is also located in the lobby of the Seaside hotel, and is quite small so it can get weirdly crowded sometimes with hotel guests waiting for elevators and/or checking in.

Overall a hidden gem and I’d definitely recommend it to visitors or even locals in the area:)

Its a bar mostly, so dont expect any fancy quality food.
When arrives we were not seated as we did request even was empty spots and tables were free to do so instead we asked to seat at bar high stools and table, well another couple have to have their oysters at sofa close to fireplace!
About food - Fish and chips was ok (fish was 'blackish" so be prepared to that), steak was tiny and medium rare even we requested well done, was no vine sauce over steak- it was in metal cup - same as fries, no vegetables with steak as it was "STEAK FRITES" what means only steak and fries basically.
For scallop/shrimp soups or whatever it was - simple and can be served as starter but not like main dish -it’s our opinion of coarse?
Plates weren't warm up, so food cool down very fast, it was some finger marks on knifes and forks, tables were on different levels, music was loud mix of jazz and something else not appropriate for lunch.
But all that was OK, taking in the matter the understanding of global COVID service degradation, until we were asked about food - we said our thoughts, but we didt ask for manager assistance - he came anyways and, well, he humiliated us in front of our children and basically forced us to leave without paying - do we want free food? Are we came to food bank or what? Shame on manager, who let that people on kitchen and who served us work for free - it so stupid and bad for all sides;
Will I come back for free food - no and I wish somebody from real management will contact me to discuss that situation. I own successful businesses and property right across that place so I thought to became full time customer, but I will go to Lobby then, where I have VIP card and never was talked like that. If you read another reviews you can see, that something recently is not working properly. Place has a huge potential and a lot of love and money were invested, however some improvement is required.

We have been several times to this restaurant and it is our favorite on the North Shore. The food is always excellent and service is consistently top notch! The presentation of the meals is amazing Dani was our waiter and she made sure our evening was perfect and all our needs were met Highly recommend this restaurant!
We have booked three more times for Christmas celebration with friends

Don't expect food to be close to the pictures on site, it would not happened, don't ask for manager - eat fast and run - as manager is very passionate about that place and may kick you out if you dont like the food and will humiliate you if you are woman

Happy hour. Oysters 1 dollar. The place is really nice, fancy, prices are ok. Dessert is incredible. Sea Food Chowder is the most delicious thing i’ve ever tried. Wine is amazing. Go this place. Make reservation. It is a small place.

Most staff aren't professional. They are there just to make money. They speak foul language and very teenage vocabulary. Phone manners are out of the question.food is good but not worth the price They charge. Over priced food.

We went to Seaside for brunch to celebrate a birthday. We really enjoyed The Brunch Tower and the Surf and Turf Benny! The food and service was fabulous. We will definitely go again!

Given that Seaside Provisions became one of our favorite restaurants in BC soon after we moved here from the US 3 months ago, and that we've already been here a couple of times since then, this review has been long due!

We discovered this place when craving for a nice dinner one fine evening in North Vancouver, and little did we know that we were in for a treat! The neat restaurant is located in a complex by the happening and busy Lonsdale Quay area and right by the lobby of the Seaside Hotel. If arriving in your own vehicle, the underground parking is paid and not validated (something that we've come to realize is common in and around Vancouver *ouch*), so you might as well enjoy pre- and post-meal strolls in the vicinity since you'll be booking a parking spot for a couple of hours.

We've not had to wait for long to be seated during our visits, and their menus are not too elaborate or confusing, so placing an order has always been a breeze. All of their cocktails that we've had are really delicious, so I won't even bother listing them down (go wild!). But, when it comes to food options, we simply love the Wagyu Flank Steak, the Seafood Chowder (the best chowder we've had till date!), and the Fettuccine (Oh-so-delish! Just wish that they start offering another variation with Italian sauces too *fingers and toes crossed*). The Premium Oysters are yummy, but better to order them during Happy Hours when you'll get to savor more for less. Rest assured that the menu items are on the pricier side but definitely worth the extra dent that they leave on your pockets! Last call for dinner is at 9: 30 PM, so please make sure to order and have your fill before ordering the heavenly Chocolate Lava Cake *dreamy sighs*

In a nutshell, Seaside Provisions offers fantastic and delicious food, a good ambiance and great service.

Pro tip: If you call for a reservation and don't get one (more often the case than not!), you might still want to swing by if you're in the area and try your luck with a walk in. In the best case scenario (that we've experienced), you will be escorted to a table and enjoy the yummy food and good service on offer! Otherwise there are a few other good restaurants along the shipyards, plus you can enjoy a nice stroll along Burrard Dry Dock Pier and savor the views of Vancouver Downtown from a distance.

Had an amazing experience when I visited here in the summer, so I was excited to come back. I remember my original visit so clearly because the male server that helped us out was so helpful and friendly! He set the bar. Came back on Thursday for happy hour and I was extremely disappointed. The server didn’t introduce herself or any of the specials/daily cocktail. Everything came out in a timely manner except for the fish and chips. We waited over 20 minutes without any updates. She didn’t even say thank you after we settled the bill which seemed kind of rude. Food was good but service was lacking. We left feeling really confused and unimpressed.

Such an AMAZING experience! Chris made the best cocktails (and complimentary birthday shots)! The GM, Joey, brought out bubbles on the house when the bar was backed up. Great atmosphere and prices during happy hour! There's other great appetizers aside from the oysters - wagu, chicken karage, spicy tuna bites, lobster sandwiches were all great! Wagu was especially great with its tenderness and flavour. The only downside was service, it was a bit busy and so understandable.

Manager was fantastic. Overall superb service but I did feel rushed to leave. I was only there for a drink. We ended up getting oysters and dessert. Oysters were deliciously fresh, the butter banana cake not so much. I would rate it a 1 star. It basically tasted like raw dough left out to dry overnight. My guess would be ice cream was homemade but not creamy. I probably would rate it a 3 star restaurant but with the effort the staff put in to be friendly yet having to balance the need to flip tables to make more money, I will give it a 4. I appreciate their hard work.

Our server, Tracy, was absolutely amazing! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. He really made our experience here OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for fancy cocktails, fine dining, and exceptional service. We will be back for sure!

We found a cosy spot here out of the rain. We tried the happy hour menu and enjoyed a sweet pick me up during our walk. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner soon.

Buck a shuck with some of the best oysters I've ever had? YES. PLEASE. Also some very creative, succulent, beautiful dishes, awesome variety of bevvies, and superb staff. My new fave close to home.
