Secrets of the Kiln

Celine is so lovely! I was connected with her through another potter and the atmosphere and space she has created is a new clay heads dream. Studios that are smaller are hard to come by in North Vancouver but the attention to detail she gives is unmatched. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone who is looking to learn wheel throwing and some handbuilding. Her teapots are also so beautiful!

I have been taking private classes with Celine for almost a year now and I can’t say enough good things about her! If you are looking to try pottery making or buy some high quality ceramics, secrets of the kiln is the place to go!

I commissioned a mug from Celine for my celestial themed wedding, and I was over the moon (pun intended) with the results! I couldn’t recommend Celine more highly—she was lovely to communicate with, and is incredibly talented.

We did a private couples lesson with Celine and it was amazing! Because it was just my husband and I, we got so much attention and were able to make a number of pieces and learn so much. This was our first time doing pottery and we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be going back for some lessons in the fall with Celine.

Had a handbuilding date night here! Celine was very informative, patient and helpful. We had lots of laughs and a great time making our mugs. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, artsy date with their partner or friend!

My young daughter and I just completed a class with Celine. We are both novices and Celine was an amazing, patient and skilled teacher. We had a wonderful time together and looked forward to the class each week. We are thrilled with the many pieces we got to take home and we simply loved the experience. Thank you so much!

Best date nite in NVan! Traditional gift for 9th anniversary is pottery so instead of buying another mug, my wife and I shared a pottery-making experience. It was personal, it was fun, our host was amazing, and she even provided wine! Plus we took home a generous number of really nice bowls, mugs, incense burners, & Christmas-tree ornaments. Such a different date, and one we won’t forget. Hope to one day be able to bring my work team in for a team-building event.

My wife and I did the date night class here and it was such a great experience. Celine is patient, knowledgeable, funny, and makes you feel at ease right away. The class was very good value considering it was one on one instruction and we got some amazing pieces to take home that we love so much! I highly recommend the date night course!

Celine is an amazing teacher! My dad and I did a 6 week course with her and loved it! Neither of us had used a wheel before and Celine was super patient and positive. We were able to make so many more pieces than we expected and really enjoyed our lessons. We are definitely wanting to take more classes and would highly recommend Celine and Secrets of the Kiln <3

I ordered a tea set for my daughters birthday! I wanted it to be functional, unique and spooky! What she made was so perfect and better than I could ever imagine! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to order from her again

I came here here for a date night activity and it was awesome! It was also my first wheel throwing experience! We had such a fun time. There were instructions given but also a lot of time given for you to get comfortable and explore. 10/10 highly recommend.

I've been taking classes here ~ 7 months. She is patient and knowledgeable and willing to let you try ambitious projects, so even if they fail the first few times, you can learn. She can coddle or be hands off, as you like. She has lots of glaze colours, which is fun to experiment with.
