Spare your whole day, if you wish to come Service Canada. It takes 3-4 hours every time, just for 20 minutes’ work.

Prepare to be frustrated amd waste at least a day in dealing with Service Canada. I need my passport for work and paid extra for Pickup Service on a guaranteed date. When I dropped off the passport paperwork and paid for the pick up service I confirmed the passport would be ready to pickup in the morning of that day. They said yes. Fast forward to pickup day and after seeing an initial clerk and then waiting in line for 1.5 hours I am told the passport is not done and to come back after 1pm. Then I am told come after 2pm to be safe. After speaking with another staff member they said to actually come back just before closing. Not only is the entire process inefficient, there is poor communication. I am now missing an entire day of work to pick up this passport.

I was given appointment by surrey central office for this location and took only 15 minutes for submission of Canadian passport for renewal, Mr Depender at this office was so helpful and friendly as some mistakes in the form were corrected same time, i really appreciate the customer service given by Mr Depender, thanks

Came at 9: 30am now it’s 3pm and still waiting, i saw people lining up at 12pm and being told they can keep waiting but won’t be guaranteed they’ll get serviced cuz they closed at 4pm….

Worst of B. C Branch of Service Canada. All security guards who sat at the entrance desk to give guidance
to people too rude especially the short women. Also star average is 2. It means there are many problems with the process or OFFICIAL STUFF. I don't recommend this place

I was worried about the comments about the service time. But I had super-fast service. On the other hand, I had the worst service I've ever had in my life in a public service. The person who attended to me was not only grumpy, they were extremely rude.

IF POSSIBLE AVOID THIS PLACE

Horrible customer service on the phone. I called with inquiries about my passport application and a man on the phone began to speak to me like I was a baby and said “well did you read the documents? It’s literally all in there. ” And proceeded to shame me for not understanding exactly what I needed to have in my passport. It’s my first time doing this. If you’re going to work somewhere where service is required at least have some basic skills of being a kind human being. My only regret is not getting his name as I would put his name here and shame him for that kind of behaviour. Would give 0 stars if I could

The worst experience so far, I’ve been sitting here for almost 4 hours and no one called me yet. I don’t know how much staff is working, only they are sending people to desk 8 or 11.
Some people who I’ve seen come as walk in are getting their work done in 30 minutes. Whereas it should be first come first serve. I don’t know why they are taking 4 hours to do something which typically should not take more than 15 minutes.

Waiting time is fine I can understand there are many candidates for applications but one biggest problem was with their receptionist's behavior, she was sitting next to the door. She was very rude, she doesn't know how to behave outside. She doesn't have any good manners. She is a racist. She was handling all Canadian and other communities very well but she was very rude with us indians (brown people). I do not want to see her again, never forever.

The guard there needs to learn how to talk to people. For one thing. If someone tells you, you mis-gender someone you should probably stop interrupting and let them talk. And not realizing people have invisible disability. I have made a formal complaint against the guard and hope others will not have the same experience as myself. I hope this guard recieve the education they need or some form of discipline.

I couldn't understand what the staff said because of his accent on English which is totally no problem for me, but after I ask him to say it again, he said like I TOLD YOU something something. I was like.does this trigger your anger? Poor service and attitude.never will come here again.

Usually it's very crowded, and you'll waste most of your day just waiting. The best way to come here is with an appointment, so that you can skip the line. Access the services Canada website, select to apply in person and follow through the steps.

Three security guards sit in a line without doing nothing. They don’t even bother to tell the customer where the waiting line is. Totally waiting tax payer’s money. The service is so bad.

SIN transaction: we went there before it opened.we were 4th in line.basically did everything in 20 mins. They opened at 8: 30am and we are out there by 8: 50am

I had an appointment to go in on the Saturday as per the Passport office in Central mall, which means there was no line up. The service I thought was very friendly from the lady that greeted me at the door to the person who helped me look over my passport papers. He didn't say much to me but he was very helpful when I had a couple questions during the process. It took no longer than 20 mins for him to finish putting my application in and sending me on my way. Needless to say it was a pretty good experience for a place with such bad reviews. I would definitely come back if I had an appointment.

Arrived at 8am the line was already really long. Once the door opened at 8: 30am was let inside to line up. Pretty much lining up to be queued, and then having to wait till your named was called out. Got out at 1: 30pm so wait time was 5hours to get a SIN. Service was normal and people were kind.

Slow as a sloth. Pathetic service.
Came at 9 am for the SIN number and got the job at 2 15 PM.
More than 5 hour for just a SIN number.

Employees need to be monitored seriously. One of the employees, brown guy with an english accent in his 50s, was loudly making fun of the people who did not speak english, saying that “punjabi is for india” and “this is canada so you should only speak english or french”. Disgusting. Hope he gets fired soon.

The Hours Pass By

Naivety of what is in store has veiled your eyes. The line of 8 on the moist sidewalk hides the truth from within. Tinted windows.
It's been an hour and you haven't moved. An hour but you are committed because you already waited an hour. The gates open and you are led like cattle to the slaughter. Not the slaughter of life but of mind and comfort.
Another line.
This one is longer then the first. As the blood coagulates in your limbs you question how things could have gotten this bad. "Why didnt I just mail my passport in? "
"Why is the service so slow? "
Surely another facility should be opened.
The hours pass, the children cry, dehydration and starvation set in.
You wait.
You already made it this far.

I’ve been sitting here for 4 hours and the place closes in an hour and I have yet to receive a turn. They told me that if I didn’t get a turn by four they would not be providing me with services. This is one of the worst establishments I’ve ever been in.

March 30 2023 So far no lineup outside and it's 11: 20 am when we got here, just
Medium size line up inside about 10 people waiting in line inside the building. Seems to be moving alright frequently people going in and out. There are still people seated possibly around 40 or so sitting guess depends on the assistance u need that determines how long u wait.my dad and mom who needed to get help setting up there self serve my Canada account as they are senior and to get a few documents.
Not sure if staff change or not but security guard working is man standing by doors he's not on a phone is properly doing his job. Woman security guard there to chatting away not really being helpful or even seeming to do her job not focused on her surroundings. See only there till 11: 33 am not even 20 mins can't say there getting much help counting numbers only at number 10 and 40 or so people sitting and waiting and no one really at the counter except for one person basically no staff like it's empty. It's like no one's truly around to run things or ask questions.

Rude and arrogant Punjabi’s sitting at the front desk, they don’t know how to talk, lack of customer skills, all three (two Male and one brown lady) sitting and laughing so loud rather than helping people out
