I had a very pleasant and streamlined experience renewing my passport just now. Took less than 30 mins all in. I brought in my filled application, my expiring passport, and my photos, and they did the rest.

12/1/ 24 1130 am. Waited for about one hour to submit my passport application On the whole not too painful and pretty streamlined efficiency. Parking in front of City Hall was easy. Good job on this one Service Canada.

Worst place to be. No service whatsoever. You would be lucky if you get your turn in 2 hours. They don’t even follow sequence of tickets.

Drove down from Kamloops with all passport documents ready to review and send in for express service. Got in line 30 mins before opening and was seen right away once they opened. Out of the office 30 minutes later. Very friendly and efficient service. I was told the wait time for express would be 10 business days. If you aren't in a rush, don't bother paying the extra money, as wait times for regular mail arrival is 2 weeks. Definitely worth the trip!:)

Automated and the address of the Kelowna passport office is incorrect - the Capri office is closed and we are guessing that it has moved to the Queensway location. Luckily by pressing 0 I did get to speak to a human:) so I got the current address but not wait time.

Good experience over all! Everyone from the front desk lady, security guards, to the actual people behind the desks, were incredibly friendly. Yes, you will wait for 2-3 hours, maybe more, but the friendly staff made the experience much better. Bring something to entertain yourself with, just remember they are all doing the best they can!

I phoned this office very confused about some paperwork from the IRCC that I received to get my PR card renewed. I thought I needed a notary, then it looked like I didn't, but I was unsure of how to continue. Emma listened patiently and very soon my problem was solved. Thank you Emma!

Sent my application in via mail in April and waited months to get it and hadn’t received it back or any update.
I got to the in person office at 7: 15am in July as I haven’t received my passport back and waited in line for them to open at 8: 30am. Since I was travelling within a certain amount of days I got to go in an express line. Nora was a fantastic help with making sure my passport would be ready in time for my trip. Unfortunately I have to pick it up in Surrey to make sure nothing happens with mailing issues.
Overall, it was a good experience at this passport office but I would suggest to definitely not mail your passport in as the wait time is ridiculous. (sent my passport in mid April and it hasn’t even been looked at or processed and it’s now July)

Pleasant experience. We had to travel for almost 4 hours to get to Kelowna but they made the drive worth it. We got our passports in time for our flight. Thank you for your hard work!

Really bad service here. Especially the three old security guys at the door. One customer was refused a passport without a necessary document. He walked out of the hall and asked to jump the queue to re-enter the building. His daughter was finding somewhere to printed it out. He should wait in line until her daughter come back. I think this is the right way because we don’t know how long his daughter will take. But the security guy let him stand front of us. They said that’s the policy here. I and my two young girls are waiting there for 40 mins already. I were told that if I keep talking, we wouldn't be allowed to enter the building. Attitude is so rude! The security staff can make policy here! The building manager should be shamed.
