Super disappointing experience that costed me $430. Went in for a cut and colour and walked out with a cut that wasn’t even close to what I asked for and a colour that looked like wasn’t done and a huge chunk missed at the back of my head. Got a second professional opinion and it’s costing me double to fix the damage that was done. Very disappointed with the service and the cost. Don’t consider your stylists “master colourist & senior stylist” if they can’t work on all hair types. Always have a consultation especially if you have thick wavy/curly hair.

I was referred by a friend who also gets her hair done at Shampoo Hair Bar (Fairfield) and boy am I grateful for the referral.
Zephyr is so lovely and paid attention to the criteria I gave for my haircut. I am really happy with the service I received, and can’t wait to go back. She had a ton of product knowledge and helped me find the right products for my hair. She is friendly and personable, and I would highly recommend her. Thank you, Zephyr!

Would for sure recommend Khadija - super talented. Chose her at random and glad I did (but we’ve had experience with another stylist there and she was great too).

Robin is exceptional! She’s an excellent stylist who takes the time to learn her clients and deliver exactly what we want. My husband and I are both really happy we found her.

Allistar is new in town from New Zealand and an amazing communicator and technician. I got just the colour and cut I wanted. Fairfield location has a good vibe. I am certain all the stylist are great and because of that you need to book well ahead.

I went to Shampoo in Fairfield for the first time last week. I booked with Marlee- we did a big chop for summer. I just wanted to share that it's been about a week and I love my cut more and more everyday!
Marlee was so lovely, approachable and so knowledgeable. We chatted about Bangs and she very kindly reminded me that summer brow-sweating season is coming (which I was so grateful for as we settled on some side swept ones that look fantastic). The salon was great vibes. Highly recommend, I had such a positive first time experience:)

This is a great place! I've worked with many stylists here (currently Debbie) and always had a great experience, both with the haircuts and with the stylists, who are always friendly and professional. Not the cheapest haircut around (!) but if you can afford it, really worth it.

The 'Shampoo' experience is excellent from start to finish. From the customer service front of house to the work done in the chair. Lynn is an absolute artist at coloring hair. I highly recommend treating yourself with all her all-around great service.

I previously had a disaster cut. Debbie gave me an amazing cut and color. No longer have to wear a hat all the time to cover up bad hair!

Andrew has fantastic attention to detail. I always loves how he cuts my hair. I always feel like a million bucks!

Great atmosphere and pricing! I got a layered cut by zephyr, she did a great job giving me the style I wanted without taking too much length off. Really felt like she took the time to do it right!

I had the most terrible experience.
I have been to Shampoo before and was always happy with Khadija but they were not available.
You could tell Sekoya tried hard but really struggled to cut the hair evenly (she kept on taking off more and more and it was still not straight). But I decided to give her benefit of doubt.
She overrun by 30min and the outcome was terrible - such basic things as left and right side not being the same lenght. They called in a senior consultant to rescue the situation and he tried but it was too late.
I am so upset as my hair looks terrible and after several attempts of fixing it and overruning by 1h, the hair is now too short so I have no choice but to have this horrible haircut for Christmas until it grows out.
The situation was also poorly handled by the manager who charged me full price and suggested I should be grateful she didn't charge me for the senior consultant as well. I was so shocked and taken aback I even tipped them!
