New self checkout person is useless. When presented with an item that would not scan she would not even make the effort to manually type in the sku number which is completely visible. Instructed me to instead leave the register with all my items and find another of the same product… all the products of this type have a misprinted bar code that doesn’t scan.

Her manager was right there and didn’t even intervene to manually type in the sku which she would have to do regardless of how many of the same item I pulled from the shelf.

Everything is normal for a supermarket. Only disappointed their hot food deli is not Asian for an Asian market seems weird to serve Mac & cheese and perogies instead of Shanghai Meatballs in cabbage.

One of the best places to get Asian groceries in Victoria, their bread section is really good too!

First impression was shopping carts rusty and smaller than normal but the aisles seem to be narrower too. Friendly people working there.

It's the best place in the city to get a canned cheese and onion pie.update: they now have vegetable balti as well

5 stars for nailing the self care aisle 3 stars for chronically understaffing during peak hours and sometimes-dicey produce. 2 great international aisles that include a K-Beauty section. 4 star store on a good day, 3 on a bad.

Awful selection. WAY OVERPRICED even for a fairways. There seemed to be nothing fresh. I won't even go there again for a jug of milk.

Good price on fruits and veggies. Varied options of ethnic products. Sometimes long lines at check out.

I love this place! It’s got everything I need and more! Such a surprise to come in each time to find new asian baked goods or Asian deli foods like marinated duck wing etc, I am in love. It really helps to have something feel so close to home when you’ve been far away for so long. Today I came in and asked to talk to someone from the meat department for a big slab of pork belly because the ones offered in the coolers were too small. They gave me the perfect cut! Thank you to you! All the butchers were closed and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make the dish in time for Chinese New Year. Staff is friendly, HUGE Asian selection, lovely surprises! Definitely shop here if you’re looking for Asian groceries!

Janelle is the worst cashier and handles customers poorly, stereotypical wouldn't even believe me that the Tide laundry soap was 17.99 I even ran back and had to double check still she didn't believe me. She wanted another stock boy to do it and found out it was also 17.99. I thanked him in Spanish.

Best prices in Victoria for a medium-sized grocery store. Excellent variety featuring an international section. Produce is always fresh and beats competitor prices.

They are starting to sell more Mexican food (traditional spices and stuff we use to cook traditional meals). I really appreciate that! I don't have to go to the crammed fairway on quadra anymore! Besides the fact that this one is closer to home!

Great place to grocery shop. Good selection of ethnic brands and exotic fruits and veggies. The fresh produce can hit or miss. Biggest drawback are the poor quality foreign meats (ie. Beef from Australia)

Always enjoy lunch from the deli and cashier Julie is always friendly and the staff always helpful

I had a very bad shopping experience in this supermarket. When I checked out, the cashier told me impatiently and asked me to put things down. And when I put my briefcase on the table of the last payment, she was very unfriendly to let me put it down. Recommend not to buy here, don’t check out at window 5.

Been going there for over 20 years. They have the vegetables I love that other grocery stores do not carry. As an immigrant, that's amazing!

Staff wearing masks, lots of cleaning going on and wiping conveyor between customers is very much appreciated by this customer with a high risk household!

Fairways always has a great international section to pick up those odd ingredients or delicious snacks that I crave. It's like a grocer plus a specialty store all in one. Also, the baking section often gets me super excited with sesame buns or BBQ pork buns or something equally delicious!

We found this market to be very expensive. Staff are good and the checkout area is cleaned almost on a minute by minute basis.

My favourite fairway by far. Not too big not too small but always well stocked with my favourites. Staff are very friendly and helpful

A clean store, with employees who actively sanitize stations between each shopper. No masks required, but are recommended. They don't have directional arrows like other stores, but they are smaller than most.

They could learn how to pack groceries a bit better, though.

The selection is okay, but the prices are certainly not the cheapest. I get it, small family establishment and all. Huge plus sides are that you don't need another dumb "loyalty" card to get deals, and they didn't charge me for a plastic bag. It's the small things sometimes.

Busy grocery store with lots of interesting foods from around the globe and local. Lineup moves quickly plus I believe it is locally owned

I really like shopping at the Fairways. They have good selection. Cobbs and M&M Foods are favourites as well.

Be sure to check the dates on EVERYTHING you buy there. Out of my 10 items I bought today, 3 of them expired over 6 months ago. Discusting!

Decent selections, a bit pricey, but what really bugged me was the meat. My friends, and I buy meat at other grocery stores now because the meat at Fairway always left us sick, and seemed past it's expiry date but left on the shelf.

Very expensive. Hardly any good deals. Meat and produce second quality at high prices. Chinese people won't buy Chinese food here anymore.

Dont come here for the hot kitchen food. Its a rip off. They give u like 50% less than the one on Quadra. Not very generous portions at all. If they werent so cheap i would come here a hell of a lot more. Management please train your staff to be more generous with the portions and i guarantee youll sell 500% more food.

Do not expect the cheerful, helpful staff that you will find at other locations like McKenzie or Quadra. It gives the rest of the establishments a worse name.

For their deli Chinese food skip it and go to the quadra.st one. At Shelbourne, it has generally been sitting for a while and their portions suck. Every time I go here I look forward to the experience I get at quadra st and I am gut punched with disappointment. The service at the hot food deli counter is abysmal and as I had stated earlier you get about 30-40% less than you would at quadra st. (That being said the cold deli staff have always been kind) SKIP GETTING HOT FOOD HERE just stick to groceries. And if someone in management reads this, though I doubt they will, standardiz e your GD service and portions to match quadra because I am not coming back.
