Shine Auto Wash Vancouver

I went to this place for the first time today. Had lots of trouble getting on the conveyor belt that pushes your car through. I own a Dodge ram 3500 once we finally got my vehicle on the conveyor belt. I went through and my mirrors were flopping all over the place they told me it was touchless but it definitely was not.my passenger mirror is now loose.they didn’t tell me to takeoff my trailer hitch.so the whole back of it was covered in dirt still.my rims were dirty the wheel wells were dirty everything was pretty much still dirty so I complained told them that I wanted my money back.and they sent me through again I took my trailer hitch off the back came out all good but all of the emblems on my vehicle were still dirty it doesn’t get in all the little creases at all. I was very unhappy I went to this place thinking it was going to be the best option for my vehicle I will not tell anyone to go to this place. I prayed for the premium wash it cost me $31 for the wash once I got out I had to detail everything myself for 20 minutes to make it look halfway decent. I was so unhappy

Amazed this place stays in business. Today's attendant could barely understand the word 'no. ' After watching the SUV before mine be allowed through the wash without tape on the door locks or a plastic bag on the rear wiper, I asked for the same treatment. After fumbling around the words he proceeded to argue with me it was policy to tape up the door locks and wipers. Why didn't that policy apply to person in front of me? Having to argue with staff after paying $25 to get your car washed is unbelievable. Won't be returning.

One of the only Auto wash places that actually cleans the car rather than smudging the dirt everywhere. Recommended

$19 for a lava wash.a bit pricey but I love to have a chill inside the the washing tunnel. Feel good especially during the hot Summer!

Most expensive wash cleaned most of car but could not get the bugs off the front of the car after long roadtrip.

We wash our fleet of luxury sedans and SUV's there daily. I would recommend using the cheapest wash for $9.45 the other lava foam and upsells do basically nothing. I think it's a good deal for what you get even though they just raised the price of the extras by 50%. In fairness to Shine the cost of chemicals has gone up. So now we just use the basic wash and that seems to work great. I would like to suggest extra air dryers to do a better job of drying off the vehicles I would even pay extra for that option. They have a few more locations in Burnaby and Coquitlam that are cheaper than Terminal.

I've been going to this car wash since they opened and you know the results are always predictably good and on occasion if the car wasn't cleaned to my satisfaction, they sent my car through again. One of the best things about this car wash besides how nice and friendly their staff are is the fact that they recycle the water and I just think that's an amazing piece of technology, in fact I was there today, and my car looks wonderful.

Shine auto is probably the fastest and best quality drive thru wash. Inconsistent how the one is Vancouver is more expensive than Coquitlam.

The worst car wash in Vancouver they left my car filthy and told me to wash it myself if i wanted it cleaner i will NEVER come back

I always come here for my work car and leaves it really clean outside! Better than tge gas station ones that are half the size of this one!

Vancouver Shine Auto Wash is the best auto wash in Vancouver. 14 Interior vacuums line one end while the quick car wash is automatic, easy to use and takes about 2 minutes to complete. The car wash itself cleans cars very nicely. It also has other services you can find in the interior office.

Paid extra for the Platinum wash, car came out still covered in soap, purple soap, on a white car. On top of that, some loose black stuff (you could move with your finger) is now stuck all over it.
Went to the office and they sent a sacrificial kid programmed to say too bad out. He suggested I rinse it off with water bottles or wipe it off.
I asked if we could run it through to rinse it, dude said it would just do the same thing.
They know they are doing a terrible job, and they don't care.

I come here fairly often and my experience is always pretty average but at least it’s quick and reasonably priced. Today, however, I was turned away because my car had some mud on it. The workers were very unapologetic about it and didn’t seem to understand my confusion as to why a car wash was denying a dirty car. If it was covered in two inches of mud I’d y sweat and but that was certainly not the case. My bad for misunderstanding the purpose of a car wash but at least I know where not to spend my money from now on:)

Fast and efficient. Excellent location for those of us who live in downtown Vancouver and don't want to wash car ourselves.

It's an Auto Wash. Nothing really special other than it's really fast and cleans your car really well!

The location is convenient and the price is fair!

It was pretty good for a car wash. Got most of the dirt off. Disappointed didnt get bird stuff off, but they do warn you that its difficult too wash off.

Really good value for money. Exceeded expectations! They have a nice clean area for vacuum, drying and detailing your car by yourself if you like.

I've been here several times and can say I've always had a good experience. Sometimes it doesn't get as clean as you'd wish, but it's not the end of the world.

Great value and fast. Even when there are line ups it should not take more than 5 minute wait. You will need to detail it to leave it perfect tho.

Took my car in and the sliver wash did a bad job.
Asked if we can just run it through again and was told that they don't do that. Ok well save yourself 10 dollars it literally costs you nothing to help a client out. Won't be using this place again.

I have been using this car wash for over 5 years, and have generally had a good experience at shine. My most recent visit was horrible. After waiting in line 15 mins and paying, I was about to drive into the wash when the owner walked to my window and told me to back up because my truck was too muddy. I then had to go to a near by building to collect a refund. Whats the point of a car wash if your vehicle has to be clean before hand? Why not observe vehicles as they get in line to refuse them service? Couldn't the attendant quickly hose off excess dirt or mud before entering the wash? The truck was a bit dirty from driving a gravel road, not even muddy.

Easy access, fast and reasonably priced car wash. Used to have car wax choices, not now. Not sure why they removed the service.

What age am I living in? What age are YOU living in where are you think it’s OK to talk to a customer like that? This attendant working here right now needs a lesson in customer service. I thought customer service was providing service for your customers. Well this “customer service” representative just shamed me and provided me with all I needed to form an impression of this business. And it is not a good one! I will wash and vacuum my car somewhere else from this point on. Go back and sit on your chair, I’m sorry for interrupting you.

This was my first time through a car wash like this. I wasn’t sure how the process worked (i.e get in to the track, put your car in neutral, and release the brake), so when the guy at the controls told to place my car in neutral, I did, but left my break on. The guy was so frustrated with me and made a rude comment saying I made him miss three cars. Sorry dude, maybe if you gave clearer instructions and didn’t assume everyone was there before you wouldn’t have this problem! I’ve seen common complaints about lack of professionalism here and the owner responds justifying the attendants rude behaviour by saying they are “busy”, and it a “high stress/higher pace environment”. Give me a break; you are placing cars in a line to get a car wash, the stress is because you have unprofessional people in customer facing roles! I’m giving 2 stars only because the guy that was directing cars at the pay station and helping people pay was really friendly and the wash itself was ok, but I won’t be back.

By far the absolute best car wash (beside automobile detailing shops) in Vancouver.

The only weak point, if you drive a station wagon, is the area around the rear license plate - here it requires a slight touch up. At least this is my experience with my Mercedes R350.

I was involved in a minor collision inside of the car wash because the car ahead of me fell off the belt. When I realized what happened I honked my horn. The attendent came over and told me to calm down. I told him what happened and he told me that I should leave and that he was going to call the cops on me if I didn't leave. Then the other driver joined the conversation and we were asking him how this happened, and he told us that if we didn't stop arguing with each other he'd call the cops. Accidents happen and that's understandable. Advising someone to leave the scene of an accident and threatening to call the cops on customers when an accident happens is not an appropriate response.

The best carwash in town, friendly staff and safe place. The vacuum is powerful, it can suck the tight space of your car.

Went a few times. The wash damaged my windshield wipers.

Got turned away a few days ago as my car 'was too dirty for the car wash! '

The sign that is posted with big numbers about the cost of the carwash is not what you pay if you want a decent wash

Not one to usually post reviews but the service here is quite silly considering what happened. The car wash knocked my mirror clean off. When I talked to the manager he told me the car is old and too bad - cool. I filled out a form and followed up and nothing has come of it, hence the review. If you care about your car at all go somewhere else.

Pay $20 for your car to look the same.

Went into get a car wash after being bombed by the birds. My car was cleaned quick and price was good.

Very reasonable priced! Nice quick service. My car always comes out with a clean shine. Meets my expectation every time I come here.

Quite destructive wash. I have used Burnaby branch one multiple times, which were all great, and it was my first time using Terminal avenue one thinking it would be same. It was a mistake.

I used the $8.00 wash, which I always do in the Burnaby branch. As soon as our car went in to the area where they shoot water on sides and top, my wife and I could sense the difference in the water pressure right away. My car's 2018 Mazda3 (not the strongest car there I know), but its still quite new, and there were no problems when I used the same service multiple times in Burnaby branch.

And this is what happened when I got out of the wash: Side molding came off and disappeared. I have already inquired to the staff of this, but unfortunately they haven't found the part that should have 'washed away'. I have claimed for the damage, which isnt the largest amount, but I will see how they take responsibility on the result of their services. Im not that hopeful looking at others' comments though.

I have gone through the reviews of this branch after this incident, and I do see multiple comments that the wash here is destructive as well. I should have checked that beforehand, and hope anyone do the same. There is a reason that there is more than one comment regarding the same issue, i wish Shine Auto does look into this soon enough.

What was not very pleasant, that the attendant folded the side mirrors saying that the company does not want to be responsible if they break. I asked him to unfold them back. I knew that the side mirrors never broke on my car. There could be 3 stars. There are some areas that do not get cleaned (like the licence plate on the back), which should be cleaned manually. I wish, you hire an attendant who would clean those areas before the car goes inside.

I liked the car wash fine and amazing but in order to clean inside the Vaccum station very less time. And on top either you’ve to be exact change on hand or go inside office to buy tokens. I suggest there should be credit card payment right on station.
Saves lots of time.

One less star for drying, the blowers aren't that great; good thing I parked and double checked, and had clean microfiber rags to finish the job. Super fast, though, was in there for maybe 3 minutes. Shine does a fantastic job of getting the road scum off the side of my car, big points for that, no other touchless car was has done such a good job. Splurge and get the works, it's worth it!

It quick and does a decent job. I wish the rinse was better/longer, I always get died soap spots in my vehicle.

You just cant beat this super convenient car wash. Its quick and inexpensive, always does the job right. It has various different wash styles at a push of a button. Just sit back and let it do its thing! It is also one of the oldest car wash shops in town.

Always Great to give my Whip some Sweet Love. I like Shine Auto Wash as it has Good Pricing, Efficient Service and a Car Wash that does what a Car Wash should do, Clean your Vehicle. I like the Swirling Scrub Brushes which are Gentle and Don't Scratch my Vehicle and I like how it is Washed Down by the Power Washes at the End Cycle. Moreover what is less the $10 to give my Lively Hood the T. L. C.it needs. You Can't get this type of Clean from a Gas Station Car Wash.

After paying I was told my car was too muddy to enter the car wash. This place isn't equipped to simply spray a muddy vehicle down before entering the wash. No refund was provided because the office was closed. I was told to hold on to my receipt and come back for a wash when my vehicle wasn't so muddy. Essentially told to bring my clean car back for a car wash - doesn't make too much sense to me.

-Get a pressure washer to spray down muddy vehicles.
-Try to turn people away before they waste 10 minutes in line.
-Figure out a way to give on the spot refunds regardless of time of day.

Your business exists to clean vehicles. You should be equipped to clean a muddy vehicle. You could even charge more for it.

This is a great super reasonably priced car wash. Perfectly located for easy access, warmth many token opperated vacuum cleaners to finish off the job of keeping your car looking great.

AVOID this destructive car wash. It stripped bits of rubber off both the front wipers on my Subaru Outback. When I showed the person in charge, he insisted that (i) Shine Auto Wash had only previously caused such damage to the back wipers - which is why it bagged that wiper - so (ii) my wipers must have been old and brittle - they weren't - and (iii) the fact they both were damaged means the car wash could not have been the problem. What? My wipers were in excellent condition the day before the car wash. Yes, the car came out very clean but the basic replacement wipers cost $50 at Canadian Tire. I will accept a refund of that cost, Shine Car Wash.

This place is great. Who needs price flexible hand car washes when you have a machine that does a great job.
I with they would add underbody wash as an extra though.

Waste of money! Does not clean cars properly!
I just called in as this carwash did not even remove dirt from my vehicle, it also left bird droppings on my car, its brushes did not even touch a huge area of my vehicle. Rear.
I called and was told " we CAN'T remove bird droppings"
Kind of defeats the purpose of a WASH, no?

IN RESPONSE. I did not say I had tree sap, i said I had dirt on my car. JUST DIRT and one FRESH bird dropping. Same day.
And it was just your average driving in the city dirt.
I used my child's baby wipe and guess what. It came off with one simple wipe.
And the dirt brush off with a dry paper towel.
So essentially my single baby wipe and a few pieces of paper towel to clean simple dirt off my car, was more efficient than your car wash.
As i said before, your car wash does not even touch huge areas of vehicles.
It should be called a car rinse.
In addition whoever answered the phone was rude and condescending.
Pay an extra 8 dollars elsewhere to have your car properly CLEANED.
If you need a car rinse, and to have it still dirty to the point that you are wiping up dirt smears with your chamois. Then come here for your car rinse!

Overcharged me for services not received, refused to issue refund and car did not end up clean. Won’t be returning after such terrible service.

Was excited to go to this car wash based on the description but will never go to this car wash based on the response from the owner's response to negative comments. It is evidently arrogant for the owner to disregard and so blatantly refuse to be accountable for anything. This is a poor business plan. Lucky for the owner that many people are too lazy and time crunched to wash their own vehicles. I will continue to wash my own car until the owner can demonstrate he/she respects other peoples property.
