The lamb meat was probably the best Persian dish I’ve had in vancouver. Very tender, very large portion, and tasty

The kabab bowl could use a bit more meat, and a bit more butter
But overall a nice competitor in the area.

No word of lie this Iranian resturant was the best resturant I have ever gone. The atmosphere was great and the type of music they chose was great. The food was fantastic, not only the quality but also the size and the ingredients of each meal was chosen appropriately. The lady serving the food was so nice. My daughter has stomachache the time we were there and I asked for some hot water and sugar to make a home remedy for her pain and they helped me in such a great manner. I highly recommend this resturant for your gatherings.

Gheyme Nesar is a must try and the portion is quite generous.
We also tried the mix of Kababs and Koobide and Jooje were delicious.

I used to love this place. Their tahdig was the best in town
But I believe they have changed ownership now. No more tahdig. No more salmon either.
I preferred when it was Shandiz instead

This place is not what Persian hospitality and food is like.at all!
I'll tell you why.

The decor: outdated
The furniture: dusty.

The service: Well.it resembled asking an entitled teenager to come out of her room and help in the kitchen. The attitude, the sighs and the slow-mo.yup.all there.
Served the wrong food. No follow up. No side plates. Forgot the desert and the glass for the can of Coke.

The food:
The Shallot Yogurt. It was not Shallot Yogurt. I've had shallot yogurt all my life. I don't know what this was. Oh.and it was served with old stale pita bread which I'm sure was on the brink of moldy (see pic.)

The Salmon Kabob. I've had more salmon in a sushi roll than what this was. Three tiny chunks of salmon served with a ton of burnt veggies (see pic.)
The rice was also overcooked pureeing in your mouth.

The "Loghmeh" unseasoned and dry. A disgrace to what this beautiful dish should be.

Honestly, this is probably the worst Persian (wanna be) Restaurant I've been to so far. I highly doubt it'll ever be topped as such because they flopped on every possible level in such a massive way.

If I had not been there with friends and family that day. I would have walked out.

Persian restaurants have ups and downs and the quality varies a lot. But here has been one the best I’ve been to in my last two visits.

Amazing food, friendly staff and the owner Shahin actually cares about his customers satisfaction. Food is always fresh and tastes amazing.

No real vegetarian options whatsoever. Ordered a salad and it literally came in a pre-packages plastic box. Does not feel like you are in a real restaurant, but you are paying real restaurant prices. Staff are average.

You can taste the authentic Persian cuisine here. Best dishes with high quality and reasonable price.
My favourite is Kase-Kabo, but today We tried Ghajary dish, which was unbelievably

It has been a while, I have to say few years that I didn't have good qualitie Iranian food. Shishlik brought back those memories for me. Thank you for fast and respectful service and on top of it good quality food.

The only reason I wouldn't give Shishlik Restaurant in North Vancouver a perfect 5-star rating is because it is slightly pricier than some other Persian restaurants in the area. That being said, I do believe that the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere are worth the extra cost.

Overall, if you're looking for a delicious Persian meal with exceptional service and a great atmosphere, Shishlik is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to spend a bit more than you might at some other restaurants.
Kase kabab was superb!

That being said, the service at Shishlik was truly outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The atmosphere was also superb - the restaurant has a lovely ambiance that really adds to the dining experience.

The Zereshk polo with chicken was just amazing. Chicken was so juicy and fresh. The Gheyme Nesar was colourful, flavourful and delicious, highly recommended. All orders come with a small Tahchin.
Portions are large and quality is top notch. I really hope they keep the quality the same if not better.

I've tried two dishes at Shishlik Grill House: Koubideh and Bonab, and both were great. Koubideh is actually my favorite. The staff is nice and friendly. However, I was disappointed that their in-house baked flatbread was not available when we arrived for lunch at noon. They only bake it from 1: 30 pm onwards. Therefore, I recommend calling ahead to make sure they have it available if you're looking forward to trying it. Also, it's a good idea to make a reservation, especially if you have a party larger than 4-6 people.

Most everyday restaurants I have visited in Iran itself are not as good as this. Huge portions, well prepared and well spiced. Nice staff. I have found no better Iranian restaurant yet in the Lower Mainland.

With all the Persian restaurants on Lonsdale there is quite the choices on the strip.

If there was a room I would have given it 6 stars. All of the dishes were perfect can’t choose one among them. The ingredients were fresh which added to the taste. The staff were nice and energetic despite the busy hour. The music was nice and too loud. The waiting time was 20 minutes on Saturday afternoon. Definitely coming back to try other meals. One of the best Persian restaurants I have ever tried in Canada!
