I understand this pharmacy gets a lot of negative press, but I have had many positive experiences here.

One pharmacist in particular went above and beyond at our consult. After describing my symptoms and reiterating that I don’t have a GP, she was able to refer me to multiple clinics that may be accepting patients. She also prescribed me enough medication to get me through the day.

I had no luck that day trying to find any medical assistance, but was able to make an appointment with my psychiatrist for the following day. When I returned to the pharmacy, I doubted I would be able to get more meds without a full prescription. However this same pharmacist recognized me immediately, checked in with my symptoms, ensured that I would be getting care soon, and prescribed me a couple more tabs to get me up to the appointment.

Once I had my appointment and the prescription got faxed over, she was on it. Less than 30 minutes later I had my full prescription ready.

I don’t want to shout her out by name, but hopefully she knows who she is by the story. This was exceptional customer service, going above and beyond what was expected. Every other level of care had no time for me and I had no appetite to go to the hospital just because of constant nausea. She worked with me, met me where I was at non-judgementally, and provided the best care she could.

The pharmacy assistant here was so rude and cut me off in the middle of my sentence saying “You need a carecard for that” and i thought it can just be a simple question but no. I understand if its regulation but the way she handle the situation was horrible.she should at least listen to my question and explain the regulation.terrible customer service from pharmacy

I booked an appointment for a vaccine. Arrived at the appointment on time just to be told they ran out of the vaccine and to book for some other time. Have you guys never heard of phones? They are a great tool to let someone know not to come!

She really took the time to answer my questions regarding certain medication and I could tell by speaking with her, she was in no rush at all, carefully listened to my concerns, and asked more questions to be completely thorough about my situation and see what would be the best solutions for it. Pharmacy technician doesn't care about the patient. I know it's always busy but if patient is infront of you it would be polite to put down whatever it is you are doing and try and help the patient. Even the lady pharmacist (i think her name is ADA) doesn't care. I need a consultation about an OTC medicine for my 9 year old kid. She wouldn't even come close to me and just yell behind the counter "what is your question? " When i asked her about the dosing she just said "yes your kid can use that" and just told me "same as adult, it's on the packaging" I have more question but I just didn't bother.apparently their too busy to give a patient attention. I am not even rushing them. Finish what you are doing then come face to face with me and talk. Absolutely zero patient care. Definitely never going back to this location.

The pharmacist Lindsey didn't say much. She knew what she was doing, and she did it well. Thank you! Only one suggestion, I can't find sanitizer or sanitizing wipes for customers' use anywhere around the counter. That's rare for a pharmacy. I can easily find sanitizer in London Drugs, T&T or Pharmasave. Looking forward to some attention.
I highly recommend the Pharmasave on Oak & 42nd.

If you are suffering with sooo much pain pls go and get your medicine in the other pharmacy like safeway by granville and 70th as those pharmacist there are very nice and they will treat you as a person not as a trash.

Pls stay away from this pharmacy.they will kill you, if you have hypertension they will trigger you to have your blood pressure get high because of their service!

Worst customer service (rude, unprofessional, and intimidation), and the management encourages such treatment to their customer.

They would try to control the issue by ignoring your complaints.

I have written an escalation letter directly to the store manager, and it has been over a month now, and still has never heard back from this man and the ruling of the so called "investigation".

I will never go shop here again, and have told all my acquaintances regarding my experience with this store.

Carly is very knowledgable and gives excellent customer service and overall made my experience amazing by being friendly and very helpful.

They have horrible service. From the front end to the back end to the pharmacists. The store is so disorganized and the shelves are empty. When you ask them always they said it is out. Even the security guys are bad.

If there is zero star that’s what they will get.
Should be embarrassed of their own business. If it is not because of the name they will definitely be closed.
Unorganized and have the worst staff.
Have no sympathy for old people and also very rude.

It's good place to shop. It's clean and usually well stocked. The pharmacy is nice.
They sell electrical toothbrushes like oral b. They have a cosmetics section. Skytrain is best. Located right at Marine gateway station on the Canada line. Parking is not reimbursed. There is an underground parking. Very few street parking spots in this area - just for a drop off and pick up.

I used their phone service for a medication refill and wait for 3 weeks with no response. I ended up going there in person to check on the status of the request.

When I got there, I waited for few minutes until I spoke up asking if anyone is available to help with my query and a younger worker came over and I asked to get my refill. She looked at a shelf and said my name wasn't there but I told her I should have requested for a refill by phone weeks ago.

That's when she just pointed at this older Asian lady who had an angry facial expression and rudely told me don't use their phone system, I need to talk to a human and it's my mistake for following their phone instructions. She says she apparently sees it in the system but since I didn't speak to someone on the phone, no one had checked to see the request was there.

At this point I was quite surprised at being treated this way but I asked anyway if can I please make a refill request. The older Asian lady seemed to have lost interest me and left without response to the back as I stood there. After waiting a few minutes, I just left.

I called again to make the refill request the day after, this time selecting the option to speak to someone and waited on the phone for over 40 mins with no one answering the call. This happens every time I try to call - do you guys not answer phones?

If you need your pills on time, this pharmacy will actually kill you. I am not sure what they are doing there if they are refusing service. I am not even asking for better customer service.just service.

The people at this Shoppers Pharmacy are incompetent, there is no nicer way to say this. The lady trying to figure out my insurance coverage was really struggling and kept telling me it’s not working, and the rude pharmacist was too busy loudly complaining and trash talking other clients to another worker there to offer any assistance. Absolutely pathetic and unprofessional. Highly recommend avoiding this pharmacy.

The pharmacy here is the worst. Never gonna visit again. I booked a vaccine for today. Arrived on time. Waited for over half an hour and the woman went straight towards a white guy after me and asked what he want. Totally ignored me. I feel really upset. Ruined my rest of the day.

Worst pharmacy I have dealt with. Endless screw ups and over-worked grumpy staff. My family member is very ill and they continued to make mistakes with the prescriptions. Pharmacies are to help patients not to jeopardize their well-being. There are many other pharmacies that can provide decent services.just not this one and other Shoppers in general! Stay away from this ridiculous business. Shopper's Drug Marts are ususally poorly staffed and the turn over is so high. There is no reason to get your prescriptions filled when you only get lousy service without any savings! London Drugs, on the other hand, always provide consistently friendly services that make you feel at home. I asked for the manager to call but it has been 2 weeks.no call!

At first I thought this was one of the last decent Shoppers Pharmacies left. If you still want to stick with Shoppers transfer to Wesbrook mall location. They have always been great, the only down side is that it is so far if you don’t live in the area. At this point I actually recommend switching to London Drugs. After the same issues over and over again my parents switched to London Drugs and have had ZERO ISSUES.

This Pharmacy consistently DOES NOT ENTER DRUG CARDS, INSURANCE, etc. Says it is entered and that you can use it the NEXT time, not the time it is entered. Next time rolls around and apparently there is nothing in the system and the whole thing repeats.

Pharmacy aside this shoppers is convenient and staff are helpful and friendly.

My prescription was sent to this pharmacy 2 weeks ago and I went 3 times to get it, but I was told every single time that they didn't received that!
Long story short, turns out they don't check their Fax and I was in pain for 2 weeks!

The worst Shoppers I been to. The pharmacist kept me waiting for 20 min. Once another customer approached the counter, she helped her right away while I'm still waiting infront of the counter. Very weird and disrespectful pharmacist. She doesn't even deserve to be a pharmacist.

This has got to be the WORST Shoppers ever! No one behind the pharmacy counter ever acknowledges you even though there were at least 3 individuals there. The owner of this Shoppers obviously has no care about how he or she runs the place. Customer service, common courtesy and manners are non existence! The reply comments left behind by this owner are a clear indication of this. No care whatsoever.

I've been to many Shoppers and THIS is the ONLY where the pharmacist will not ring in a non pharmacy item. I can understand if I had more than ONE item, but all I had was a pack of lozenges! Every single Shoppers have rung in ONE item. The workers here are just plain LAZY. Too busy telling customers they are too busy!
My Dr sent in a prescription on a Sunday afternoon. I go in at 10PM and was told they were busy and didnt have time to fill it and to come back next day. I return early Monday afternoon (2PM) and was told there is no such prescription. I asked the asian girl to double check. Oh! We were busy and didnt get to it. Come back in an hour. I call at 530PM and this time a filipina told me there is no such prescription. I asked her to double check as I was told the meds would be ready by 3PM.she cut me off mid sentence putting me on hold. Such rude behaviour! I did get my med that day, but I doubt I will go back. I'd rather make the drive to a LONDON DRUGS as I have never had any issues with this company. I only went to this Shopper because it was open til midnight thinking I'd get the meds the same day the Dr prescribed it. Boy was I wrong!
To the owner, you need to take these reviews more seriously. To future customers, go elsewhere where you are treated like a valued customer.

A sad little Shoppers with piss poor selection and almost completely absent customer service. The only thing you can count on is the security guard to stalk you around the store. Very invasive and uncomfortable experience.

Staff ask me to fill up consent form and he can give me flu shot. After, I speak to another staff and she told me to wait. I waited for almost half an hour, no line up though. I don't know what is the reason for waiting, is it usual to wait that long with no reason given from the staff? I got flu shot from other shoppers location and after filing for consent I just have to wait if there's people waiting for flu shot. Its not even busy. I dont usually post negative review but I am so disappointed. I wont ever go back to this store.

They have a terrible customer service. I was put on hold for over 25 minutes when I asked if they have this item in stock - this person said one moment as they would check the back. During this time I was transferred twice between the Pharmacy and back to Customer service line (for some reason). I asked them again the same question and was given the same response that they would check, being put on hold again for extended period of time. I told the last person it was either a yes or no whether you have it or not.but I was given the same response that they will check, disregarding that I was the same person that's been on the line for some time now. They like to play games with their customer in a very disrespectful way.

Only had cash to pay and employee was obviously annoyed he had to help me. Kept saying that money was “dirty” and generally making me really uncomfortable. Horrible customer service.

It's incredible how a simple jaunt out of your house to the neighbourhood drug store can infuriate a person. This is the WORST shoppers I think I have ever experienced. The shelves are never stocked properley, and the staff are disorganized and awfully incompetent. Twice now, I asked to get my points card updated from a previous purchase and FIVE separate staff had NO IDEA how to do it, INCLUDING THE SUPERVISOR. In fact, the Supervisor told me that I had to go back to the orginal shoppers in Richmond to get my points updated. Are you serious? !? Another staff member pretended he knew how to do it when he didn't and ended up wasting 10 extra mintues of my time instead of just calling the Manager. I would stay away from this Shoppers if you can and spend your money elsewhere and keep your peace.

They're always on top ofy meds,: when they need to be refilled. And if i have a question they are eager to explain!

Just paid $20 for some icecream and cereal. Why? Because there was another item added to the top of the receipt. Went directly to the cashier to show them I don't have an item. They told me too bad I need the said item to return it. "Sorry I know it's $10 for nothing". I'm speachless. The cashier is unable to refund the item they KNOW I do not have.

This is the only store I shop at that I do self-serve because I want to avoid the miserable cashiers. The middle aged woman (perhaps supervisor?) is the worst of them all. If I didn’t live 5 minutes away from this store I’d avoid it at all cost. Ive honestly taken the Canada line to pick up stuff at London drugs just to not shop here.

Don’t take your photos for passport or any documents here. The manager himself told me that they don’t know how do it. And after many mistakes they still refused to refund me. Worst customer service ever.

I don’t recommend this store (or location) to anyone. The management does NOT support gender equality. Horrendous to consider we’ve made it so far to 2021 and simple matters cannot be understood. Management should be trained properly by higher ups instead. 0/5 disappointing

Don't know why the reviews are so bad, place is pretty average for a shoppers. Has a good amount of snacks and food to choose from when im in a rush. Good for when I'm heading to train or bus and need a drink or something

Bought a jar of propolis that was the last one on shelf. When i came back to the store a new stock arrived and I realized the jar I had bought was not new, as the new ones on shelf had a seal that wasn't on the jar I had bought. Obviously someone used it before.

2 pharmacists (a male & female) have been amazing but 1 other pharmacist (asian female) is HORRIBLE. I wouldn't recommend. Only reason I go is because of proximity

Horrible experience. Staff doesn't know anything about products, stock, or even how to treat customers in general. Store always always has empty shelves, the security guards are racist, and the staff are rude and uneducated on their own store. Barely deserves one star. Maybe stop hiring from India, Shoppers.

Always out of stock when you want to get something basic.even after four months they still not restock yet!?
You totally can skip here if you just want to get basic multivitamin like me.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND PHARMACISTS WHO LIE

I called for a prescription for my 6 year old daughter. I told them im on isolation due to being exposed to someone who has covid. I specifically asked them if i sent pictures to my mom of my daughters health card if that would be fine. They said its completely fine to use pictures of it but she would just need her ID to show so they can prove she picked it up. My mom went on her lunch break to get the meds and they REFUSED her. So ow my daughter has to wait until tomorow to get the medications she REALLY needs. I am not impressed at all

Worst customer service. Pharmacy extremely rude, complete liars, went there yesterday around 6pm and ask one of the pharmacist about my medicine from my doctor, an Asian girl response that I got from her, “we don’t receive any information, you should make sure before. ”
And I called my doctor this morning was told they faxed all information yesterday before 1pm!

The pharmacists are always rude, they work directly with customers but they never even smile to you. The rest of the team is always nice but it's a DRUG STORE and the PHARMACIST should provide a good service.

I talked to the store manager and emailed the store in late June last year pointing out they appeared to have misunderstood the mask wearing policy as about half the staff weren't wearing masks. I said they should check Bonnie Henry's latest directive. I went back a month later and little had changed. I pointed out Galen Weston, the President of Shoppers' parent company, was sending emails to its customers telling us Loblaw's and Shopper's staff were wearing masks for their safety and ours. About two weeks later, the staff were finally fully masked up.

Friendly help from cashier and security. Pharmacist (Linda) was VERY knowledgeable, professional and helpful-very impressed!

I have been shopping here for two years already but some new staff (more precisely 2 women that started around 4 - 5 months ago) are rude and do not put the items inside the bag. They do not live up the good service that Shoppers used to provide at this location.

Shoppers always has what I need, and they great gifts and great prices. But I was disappointed whem I went there to return something from Christmas time and because it was a few days past the time limit I was turned away, I wasn't pleased one bit.

Half my experiences at this pharmacy are negative. Like the two times they didn’t fill my prescription because my medical benefits didn’t cover them. Like I’m not going to take prescribed medication because it costs $100? And a phone call to let me know before going to pick them up? Forget about it. Or taking some of my prescriptions off auto refill and not telling me? And then there was the time I was heading out of town for a vacation and they wouldn’t let me refill a script because I was a day early.

I’d normally talk to the manager but I’ve given them my number twice and have never received a call about concerns/questions. I really wish there was another pharmacy within walking distance. Very poor customer service.

Some products are ok price in the supermarket side. Small supermarket as part of the pharmacy. Pharmacy one tiny anti fungal cream was 35 dollars. This Pharmacy is a bit of a rip off let's be honest

Came in for a flu shot. Like the fact they are open until 12am. Pharmacist was friendly and the shot was done quickly. Just need to hang around for 15m after the shot.

Went there at 9: 00AM and ask one of the pharmacist or assistant pharmacist about the location of the “BeKool Patch” for fever and here’s the exact response that I got from her, “I don’t know what are you talking about”. I was holding my phone at that time and hoping to show her the product but she didn’t even bother to come at the counter.

I had changed my previous 4* to 1* rating based on solely on the behaviour on the night pharmacist rude, unsympathetic and unhelpful behavior. We just returned from Emergency at VGH & I required to get some medication for my wife who had allergic reaction from one of the prescribed meds. Never again will I or any of my family member step into this store. Nov 27 at 10.30pm & I think she said her name is Lucy, anyway she was the only pharmacist at this time.

I was shopping today with my little sister, twin and friend and I was waiting in line, when I went to checkout the supervisor was in cash to help us out. He didn’t even say hi or ask for my Optimus card. I didn’t go to the self checkout because I wanted to redeem my points and also I was paying In cash and card. So when I was about to end the transaction I said to him that I had my points card and he got really mad and started yelling at me that we were going to do the Payment first (which didn’t make sense because again I wanted to redeem my points). I was feeling really mad so I just left without realizing that the coins I gave him where there, so he just throw them at us. My sister who was with me asked him what was wrong with him, and he just got more mad and put more attitude. I honestly feel really disturbed because first; he is a supervisor and I came really chill to just buy some chips, he didn’t have to act aggressively and rude. I’m just a high school student and to see this type of people working around the neighbourhood makes me uncomfortable because Shoppers is near my house and it’s easy for express shopping. I didn’t like that he acted that way in front of my little sister who is just 9 and I really think someone in his position shouldn’t even be mad when I only asked for swiping my card. At the end it was really bad because my sister did swear at him. I don’t justify it, but my sister was not fighting alone, the SUPERVISOR also fight her back.

Check the items before you checkout coz it might be used and returned to the store. For any reasons they couldn’t find out and still sell the USED item to you. U will only know it’s used when u try to return and they check the item this timelost 16 bucks on a used battery and they refuse to return or commit their mistake telling me a battery is final sale while I’ve asked and confirmed it’s ok to return earlier.

Great pharmacy located close to home. Convenient to pick up basic groceries like milk, eggs, and cereal. Professional pharmacy staff, friendly, helpful cashiers.

I would recommend this pharmacy to everyone. The pharmacists that at this location are very helpful, respectful and patient. With regard to cheese ww's comment, I have known Andy since this location opened. I have a really hard time believing that he is anything but respectful. He is very professional and also very kind. He always makes sure my questions are answered. All of the pharmacists at this location have always treated me with respect. I am sorry you didn't get your money back but don't shoot the messenger. 5 stars for sure.

All staff in the pharmacy at this location are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Andy in the pharmacy is very friendly to us and says hi every time we come by, even if we are not purchasing pharmacy items. He takes the time to answer any questions we have and always treats us respectfully. I would receommend this pharmacy to all.

Very terrible customer service, especially a pharmacist called Andy treated very bad to me and my friends. First of all, we went there because they made mistakes in my previous HPV shot and charged me extra money, we just asked why and hoped them to refund my money back which is more than $200. However, Andy refused to help us and said it's not their responsibility, when I asked can you give me any contact number of the shoppers head office, he said no and i can only leave msg on shoppers website, and i may not get any response back. I said it's unfair to me and asked is there any other ways to solve this problem, he said very impatiently that I'm wasting his time and let me leave. I must report this situation and this pharmacist, and if I cant get apology and my money back, I'll keep reporting it again and again.
