I honestly feel pretty hurt after coming here. My sister and I went to this shoppers at 8: 14 pm, and while we were here an employee followed us around the whole time. I’ll admit, we weren’t dressed the best, give we were already ready for bed, but the blatant disrespect was so horrible. We were in our pajamas since I needed to come out and pick up tampons after I realized I was out, and decided to look for a few extra little things (mascara and we were looking for concealer). As we’re looking at the concealer, Cynthia comes over and says “Make sure you guys pay”. I’ve been treated poorly at this shoppers before because of what I can only assume to be my appearance, and I don’t think i’ll be returning anytime soon. I’d rather take the extra time to go to Richmond Center than be mistreated here another time.

Please stay away from this pharmacy. They charge $2 when I'm covered totally for my meds. How much money does shoppers need to make off the backs of average Canadians? Please do not support this pharmacy. Thank you
Not only that, the pharmacist was horrendously awful, no knowledge. No dispensing ability. Why do we even need pharmacist? Why don't we just get dispensing machines a true embarrassment to the so-called profession

Absolutely horrendous customer service by the pharmacist/owner. After they submitted the wrong prescription refill to our Dr, I was literally yelled at by the pharmacist and told that she would no longer be filling my prescriptions. This business owner does not know the meaning of customer service, has no regard for delivering proper medications which should be her priority, blames customers for her own mishaps, and has a temper control problem. I’ll never go back.

CHECK THE CODE BEFORE YOU PICK ANY ITEM FROM THE SHELF AT THIS STORE.
I visited the store at around 23: 00 on 2022/10/08, looking to buy a birthday paper bag, I picked one @4.29 and scanned at the self-check out, the machine showed 6.99, then the lady at the counter asked me if there was any proble, I told her the price was wrong. She scanned, and showed me the bar code, said: you need to check the code, it scanned 6.99. It seemed to me that she would not believe what I told her. I went back to the shelf (apparently she would not do so), I took a picture of the item and the price lable, and went back to show her. She then said this price lable is for the item next to it, she again told me that I need to check the code. I then said, would you like to come with me and check? She then unwillingly walked with me to the item and realized, the price lable was misplaced, then she took out the misplaced price lable and took it away. But she still insist that I need to check the code, I said: look, I would not check the bar code on every item I pick. She then said reluctantly, 'for this time, I will do 4.29 for you', like I was the one who made a mistake.
I understand it was quite late and there was only one hour before they can go home, the staff had a tiring day of hard work, but customers do not deserve to be treated in a horrible manner just because your emotional or physical exhaustion, and most importantly, we WOULD NOT check the bar code on every item we pick. It's your responsibility to put the price lables in the right places.

I'd like to give the pharmacy a negative score if I could. Pharmacy often fail to prepare medicines at the time they have been told. This afternoon, when I went to pick up the medicine, they said they made a mistake, so I would come and pick it up at night. Then, my husband help me pick it up after dinner, but he brought back the wrong medicine, so I went back to the pharmacy again, the pharmacist said she corrected it for me this time.when I took the medicine before bed, I opened the bottle and found it was wrong again. It is terrible. Fortunately, I checked my medicine and I knew what it looks like, what if I don't? Seeing the comments below, these kind of issues happened from few years ago. The pharmacy didn't pay attention and did any change. I will never come again. Please stay away from this pharmacy.

We had to transfer my wife’s prescription to this location from our normal pharmacy (also a shoppers and also very difficult to deal with). We confirmed it would be ready 7pm Friday evening and I went to pick up Saturday 1: 30pm. The pharmacist decided that arguing with me that we normally go to a different pharmacy and I must be confused at location… they said they have nothing ready for us and it will take time to transfer the prescription…. We have decided to go 20 minute drive to a different company to fill this prescription to avoid continuing to deal with Shoppers

Edit june 2022: three times already that the pharmacy team didn’t properly fill my prescription. Dropped it off, went back the next day, and was told it was cancelled. Another incident where they filled half my prescription (without my knowledge) and was told to come back next week to get the rest of the prescription… went back and it was wasnt processed ot ready.
The head pharmacist is great but is dragged down by an incompetent team.

Positive experiences here. But the store is quite small and looks very “old”. Limited products. The pharmacist here is knowledgeable and friendly.

I bought switch online and wanted to return. I went to the one in Richmond centre and they told me cannot return it because it’s final sale (it wasn’t), So I go to this store. Both ladies at the cashier are very friendly and helpful. Hope they live happy and wealthy.

EDIT popped in quick on Thursday went to pay at cosmetics for two cosmetic items white woman with blonde hair snaps at me she’s on the phone…is my business not worth it to you? Is it too challenging for you to ring my two through and place your call on hold? Left my items, no thank you. On a positive note there is a lovely asian man with glasses and hair tied back who works cash he is a GEM just radiates joy & happiness

Indian lady with grey hair needs to GO! I have had two bad experiences with this woman. First I had asked for clarification about a beauty product being on sale which she confirmed then when I went to pay it was not on sale. She also didn't want to help me with a foundation colour and instead helped another customer leaving me standing there. Then just today I went in there was no line at the beauty counter I walked up placed my items down and then some other woman walked up behind me and handed the same rude Indian woman one item which she proceeded to put through.didn't say anything to me about why she took her item over mine, so I'm left to assume that you don't want my business that this other customer needs to buy her item before me although I am standing at the counter ahead of her.done with this location. There is only one wonderful woman who works in the beauty section but I can't remember her name she's a lovely philippino lady who is so helpful and polite.

I went to the cosmetics department and the sales representative named Laurie, was very grumpy and not helpful at all. I would not recommend this location if you need helpful service in the cosmetics department.

Pharmacy is super unorganized. I'd avoid the pharmacy here and choose another place, unless you want to wait forever. Answer questions you've already answered over the phone and in person to them many times. Surprisingly unprofessional for a pharmacy of this nature.

Worst shoppers in Richmond every time I go in here in the evening to pick up something this weird flip lady starts bothering me asking me if I need help.she's so annoying and harrases people like they are stealing.worst shoppers in Richmond. I wonder how they get employed.even minimum wage is too much pay for the effort these people put in.

Yesterday I was looking at some nail polish in the store and picked up two packaged gel nail polishes. I didn’t put them in my pockets or my bag, I was holding them in my hand like a normal customer. Just when I was about to go to the next aisle, a lady came up to me asking if she can keep them at the counter, without even ask me if I was finding everything ok, or offering any help. I’ve never been asked to do that in any shoppers but she claimed that it’s because nail polishes are cosmetic products and she just had to do that. Like it was my first time buying nail polishes from shoppers? Please train your staff better so they would stop making your customer felt like a thief.

I used to come here all the time for the excellent customer service and to see the tall, cute Asian Boy at the pharmacy but since he has gone to Saturdays only, I haven't been back. So sad to see him leave: ' (. He's the best pharmacist I've ever met.

I used to go Walmart at garden city and their service are horrible n no help at all, so I changed to shoppers on no. 2 road.

I try to avoid this location as much as possible, I purchased a blood pressure monitor at 8: 00AM this morning, the manager was very polite, however the cashier not so much. Instead of telling me to kindly leave the item on the counter, she responded leave it there and quickly walked away, not sure where "there" was,

I have shopped this location less frequently due to the newer ones that opened up closer to southwest Richmond.
I find it very concerning that the pharmacist owner Karen Ong hasn't remedied the obvious serious issues posters have been making concerning this pharmacy. I am frankly glad I haven't had to fill a prescription here ever and hope the other customers have taken the appropriate steps to raise awareness to this serious issue with a complaint to bcpharmacists.org

The pharmacy here is a disappointment. Please avoid at all cost. The pharmacy staff here is incompetent and does not put the patients need first, but put their own needs for their convenience. I am a pharmacy staff myself so I do know the process and I am questioning their work flow and the way this pharmacy is managed. I asked for my prescription to be transferred in from another location and they would not allow it until I had dropped by the pharmacy and provided my ID. This was definitely interesting as this is not a regulation for transferring in prescriptions from another pharmacy until the patient is picking up. My boyfriend has also gotten his prescriptions faxed by doctors here many times, and every time he calls they always say “we never received it” or they have received it but provide 2 days of waiting time. My boyfriend had also called the pharmacy at times to confirm if the doctor has faxed the prescription, the pharmacy would confirm yes, and provided the time when his rxs are ready. When he comes and picks up his prescriptions, they would “magically” lose it.just recently, the pharmacy received a prescription from doctor, and we called to confirm that they received it. The pharmacy confirmed to us that the prescription was received and will be available at the provided time. However, when we decided to pick the prescription up, hard copy of the rx was misplaced/lost and they didn’t enter it in their system. UNPROFESSIONAL. Every time a prescription is dropped off, the waiting time is always the next day. If you ask them if you can wait for it, they tell you they are busy and need to come next day. Every. Damn. Time.even if the Rx had one prescription and couldn’t be prepared for 30 mins. Sometimes we would also come the next day, and it is still not ready, and asked for another day to come. It is the patients decision when they want for the prescription, not the pharmacy staff deciding when their pick up time is. Will never come back at this location. AVOID, save yourself a headache.

Absolutely avoid this location pharmacist and pharmacist assistant. They are extremely rude no sympathy no information given to patients. Told me it would be a 30 min wait which is reasonable but I ended up waiting more than an hour with no apologies no explanation. Avoid

I am a frequent customer of this location because it is very close to where I live. I have good and bad experiences. The bad ones were shopping at the skin care department with an older associate who has grey hair. More than 3 times when I was shopping for my skin care products, I asked this lady to help looking for more details of the selected items, she seemed very impatient and unwilling to help. She said I can read it from the labels myself and she doesn't have idea if it is suitable for me or not. Until I went there in the later evening, a younger associate who calls Cynthia became very helpful. Each time she saw me there, she came forward to greet me and tried her best to get the answers I want. She made me keep going back to this location.

Being a Richmond local for the past few years I’ve noticed lack of seriousness and motivation amongst the employees, especially the ones who work during the evening hours across multiple departments. I’ve encountered multiple occasions where the employees didn’t seem interested in helping out and almost coming up with excuses to not do so. This has come to the point where the only reason why I go there is to pick up my Amazon delivery boxes after work hours! I definitely feel that the employees working at the London drugs store next to brighouse stn are more engaging and eager to help even if it’s late. Yet I want the management to know about this and I do hope they improve on customer service.

The pharmacy made a mistake with my child's prescription which we only realized later on. Luckily no significant impact but I would question the ability of the pharmacy to properly dispense medications. We did get any apology from the manager and promise that they would "look into it. " I would suggest go to other pharmacies or Shoppers rather than this one for prescriptions. The store itself is smaller than other local SDM and has been ok so far.

I went to fill a prescription for my 1 year old sons pink eye. The girl was friendly, put it through and said it would take 30 minutes. I came back to the pick up counter 30 min. Later and she scrambled to find his prescription. When she was unsuccessful and went to the pharmacist. Came back to tell me that there’s a shortage on the manufacturers end and they didn’t have it. I was livid because my son is really ill and his eyes are almost swollen shut. They wasted 40 minutes of my time when they could have called me right away to tell me the problem.

For an organisation in decline, this is one of the better SDM's. Inventory is well maintained, and scanner pricing is most always correct. This location is much better managed than their new store on Steveston Hwy at #1 Road.
