NOT open until 12 AM at least they could turn off the lite up sign or remove it.

Very frustrated as I came, because it has a massive sign saying it open late.

All the billboards say open till midnight on the building and on there sign by the road, but it is only open till 10pm every day, unless it means midnight in another time zone

I like this shoppers I take one star off for the manager.wrong job for that chick no customer service wut so ever.very unpleasant. I went there with my adult daughter, same service.done nothin to ruffle her feathers.i read on here about her, well I didn't know her name but figured out by the comments.if u want to b in Customer service u should b pleasant not chasing the customers away

Everything is extremely over priced.
They never have more than one cashier til open.

Unbelievably poor Pharmacy! Just shocking how inept. This is true! And it is not slander if it’s true and I have proof. If my proof can be disproved by Shoppers Head Honcho …well I would be happier and less worried for others!

I’m pretty disgusted with the customer service and will be going a step ahead as I have NEVER in my life dealt with this behaviour… I was accused of stealing an item that I pulled out of my bag right in front of the cashier and she claimed she never saw and because of that I was not allowed to exchange it (I called the week before put something on hold and explained I would be exchanging without the receipt which the store did not document and sold my item I had on hold) she was the manager and her name was Deborah or something, I have had no problems doing returns without receipts at other locations in Victoria. I ended up just paying for the two items I selected and walked out because I did not want to deal with her nasty attitude. I will not be returning to this location ever again.

Very rude male pharmacist that answered my phone call on the evening or the 25th of December.
That person requires serious training on how to speak with customers. Extremely rude and belittling attitude. Not a way to speak to people. Shame on you.

I have been getting my refills from this pharmacy since moving to the area years ago. They have always been very accommodating and helpful despite how busy they are. Yesterday I went to pick up my medication and was helped by Darylene L. She was an absolute angel and took time out of her day to fix up my files and now my coverage is way better! Thank you for your help, amazing attitude, and making me feel important. Kindness goes a far way and is hard to find these days. Thank you for your service it is appreciated beyond words.

More cashiers needed.

I’ll spare you all the long winded story involving my poor experience.

I will say - the staff at this location were very professional and helpful, there just wasn’t enough of them.

To Shopper’s Drug Mart and it’s Management Team: Please consider staffing more cashiers and removing the obnoxious shelf checkouts.

Shopping experience is good, great even, however, what ticks me off is how online the hours haven't been changed please keep online updated.

Initially I had a love/hate for this shoppers drug mart in particular, just the mere fact that the pharmacy is way below par, I went to this particular SDM on esquimalt road and after months of going the pharmacists (mostly the old girl) would act/pretend to not know who I am.unprofessional/unfriendly/stressed/rude and plain unpleasant to be around.
(The older one would make me wait and wait and the minute a person not of color would come and she would jump to their beck and call but would continually make me wait for upwards of 10 mins while yelling just a minute) They have one decent pharmacist that greets you with warm welcoming vibes.
I would highly suggest going to Lalli pharmacy in same plaza or the next plaza down at pharmasave near McDonald’s,
save on foods by bay st bridge is decent too but if you like to be served below par and by rude employees SDM on Esquimalt is your store, unfortunately it seems the workers are all over worked/ stressed and they take it out on customers

I had a bad experience with a pharmacist regarding the covid-19 booster shot. I have a preference to take a Pfizer but the pharmacist suggested that Moderna is better for my age. I understood his suggestion but I refused and told him I still want to get a Pfizer. Surprisingly, He was not very happy about that and started having an attitude. He even said to me that if I get a Pfizer he needs to do more procedures with another 5 doses in the same bottle. I clearly tell that he was not happy that he had more work because I am not taking Modena. This is my right to choose which vaccine I want to take. He is not only being disrespectful but also complaining that my choice makes him have more work. During the immunization, I was not very comfortable with his attitude and in the end, he didn’t even put the bandage on me. It was a very unpleasant experience and unacceptable behavior.

Felt discriminated in this shop. Cashier has no respect for people of visible minority, she was arrogant also felt followed by the security agent before he came to ask me If I found what I was looking for! What!? Never go back there again and hope no visible minority do.

Good people of esquimalt please don't support this price gouging corporation edging towards record profits off the skin of your back.literally every product they have is 30 to 50% cheaper on Amazon even their allegedly on sale products. You'll spend about double the cost for prescriptions here as well and wait 30 minutes for them to get a tube of ointment off the shelf for you when there no one else waiting in the whole shop. Yes Amazon is terrible but atleast they're not preying off the less tech savvy generation to meet their bottom line. Just one more reason why we're forced to shop online

The shop is great. Good selection, quick checkouts and good prices. The pharmacy is awful though, and I would recommend the chemist next door for your meds. Post office is busy, but fine. The pharmacy staff and post office staff aren't very good, but the actual store staff are very friendly and hard working.

I went to make an appointment to get a flu shot and got one right away. Thank you to the pharmacist - I learned later on the news that is was National Pharmacist Day. Thank you for all the work you do!

The company is cheating in the price labels. The milks, for example, have a certain price in the labels and, when you scan them in the check-out, the pharmacy adds the bottle cost as if the bottle and the milk were different products. Is it necessary to explain that the bottle and the milk are an indivisible product? Or do they sell only the milk if I bring my own container? Obviously not. It's a trick and an unrespectful act against the customers because the company presumes that the customers are so ignorant to know that's just a trick. If the company is interested in give us a pleasant experience, they should be honest putting the real prices in the labels.

The pharmacy staff at Shopper's drug mart were absolutely exemplary on December 27th. I left Victoria General Hospital with an antibiotic prescription to fill and they phoned 4 different locations to locate it to no avail! They called the ER Doctor to change the prescription to a similar drug which they had in stock and they filled it on the spot! Thank you Shopper's Drug Mart for taking the time, effort and care for the prescription. I would highly recommend them for all your prescription needs. I'll be using them moving forward. They have my business!

The Pharmacy have failed to provide health care several times. This location has serious systematic issues. I do not trust this location to be a reliable partner with my health care anymore.

People with health issue that can not be solved come to this business. However, I do not blame the staff, Manager/Owner your systematic issues can be solved:

1.uphold your obligations,
2.train your staff,
3.fix you computers,
4.own your problems,
5.fix your stock management process,
6.fix your customer service,
7.fix how you fill you prescription,
8.have some integrity,
9.increase your communication.

Many times you have failed to fill prescriptions in reasonable time. Even when it is in stock; this location fails to refill persptions weeks after they are faxed. I'm talking several different events, where weeks after it's been prescribed and paid for, it's not delivered.

What really was an eye opener was this:

The Last time I was there waiting, I ran into a long time Sooke MD Dr R. S. ; perhaps-just-perhaps I was the only one having "bad luck". Unfortunately, I watched as the good Dr R. S.left the store astounded. I was upset see even him being blamed for the medication not being filled, it was just like my experience's. He left with out medication, disappointed.

Too many repetition of the same issues to list.

This review represents more of my valuable time spent on your business. You need to self reflect; ultimately hopefully resulting in better care for someone else in-need who you are responsible for.

Location is clean. The janitorial staff clearly have pride and integrity; give them a raise.

Scott the Pharmacist is a. He met me with compassion and honesty. He did not try to upsell me or force me to buy anything we did not need. In fact the remedy was wait it out and keep our kid hydrated. I will come back again. As this type of authenticity is hard to come by.keep it up Scott.

Slow service, very rude employee at the canada post area. I contacted Canada Post moving my parcels so I can pick them up somewhere else.

Will not go back to this store. It is UNSAFE as they are not enforcing physical distancing rules. I attended the store last eve, keeping my distance at all times. Down an aisle by myself and a 20 something man came and stood directly beside me! I raised my voice and told him to get away immediately. Complained to store staff and they said that they do not have the right to ask a customer to leave, and they were saying out loud that they don`t know what the policy is. ******Follow up: just spoke with store manager, Stacey. She was excellent on the phone, and will be talking to staff as they DO have the right to ask customers to leave the store. Thank you Stacey. Stay apart, stay safe!

I went into Esquimalt Shoppers Drugs and asked if there are many waiting for flu shot. Pharmacy lady said just one person! I replied "my lucky day". "But" she added "we have other duties that we have to do. "
"oh, that's ok" I said how long then? " Pharmacy lady replied "three hours! "
Went to London Drugs.better anyways as it's Canadian owned!

Terrible customer service at front end. Go to London Drugs as it is still a Canadian owned company. Shoppers is a USA company.

Open until 12 this store has anything you could ask for. The makeup, pharmacy and grocery sections all have what you need on a regular basis throughout the night. Though sometimes it feels they could use another cashier or at least someone who could man a cash register in an emergency in the later hours it's no huge issue as most transactions are quick and easy. The pharmacy is polite, honest and happy to serve you as most pharmacies should be. Though some specific items can be a bit difficult to find it's always a good idea to ask whoever is at the pharmacy counter before you go looking because the isles could be marked better if you look for a specific item, but if you want something simple and quick at a late time in Esquimalt this is the store for you.

The younger girl with blonde hair that works the front counter is very rude. She never smiles. She has horrible PR skills. The rest of the staff including Pharmacy are excellent

This lonely star goes to cashier Jessica. She needs to be trained in how to be polite give GOOD customer service (she doesn't even try). Seen her be rude a number of times, this time the man put down his things and walked out of store!
