The sign says they are open until 12. But they are really only open until 10pm. I get that hours might need to change, but then why leave a lighted signifying open until 12 on above the front door?

I phoned to follow up my blister pack. I hard time to talk to a pharmacist. I was able to connect to someone. I politely ask if I speak to pharmacist but he just hanged up.

Absolutely terrible experience. Customer service is appalling, prescriptions never seem to be ready, even when called days in advance (and never so much as an apology). My wife suffers from chronic migraines that have put her in the hospital and a pharmacist there suggested instead of her regular migraine medication prescribed by her doctor, she try Tylenol.

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen, both up front and in pharmacy. They can never locate my meds without searching in about 3 different places, and they always run out of my meds. Service person (female, glasses) at front till does not ever say hello, thank you or smile whenever I purchase anything. It’s like she’s inconvenienced that I want to buy something and support their business. Switching pharmacies even though I have to drive further.

I came in for anxiety meds and had a problem with my coverage, they were quite rude and started trying to talk to me from across the pharmacy, in front of several other customers. I told them please, just let me leave, il figure it out some other way. I did not have to put me on the spot like that, or have my situation projected to the 5 or 6 bystanders. I've had multiple unpleasant experiences here, but that was the last straw. I called another pharmacy and they found a solution to my problem within 5 minutes. Really just dont go here if you want to be treated with dignity

Are they busy? Yes. But i see them doing excellent customer service with limited staff. Only time I've seen staff be rude is when a customer trys to but in when staff is helping other customers.

One of the pharmacists was inanely rude. Told me they ran out of my medications and didn’t have it, when I asked if I could go to another shoppers and get it he said it didn’t matter they don’t have it and hung up. Crazy you can treat people this way when they rely on you for medications

I would like to praise and commend your wonderful store staff a kind gentleman that was working at the front till today this evening between 7 PM and 8 PM. He was very kind and very patient, to say as an understatement but he was very generous and helpful to an elderly man who is having a difficult time using the debit machine. I hope this store staff member is recognized and supported and acknowledged for his kindness, and has good deed!

My experience at the shopers on hillside was nothing short of a orgasmcal experience.

I was made aware of a exclusive product sold by the brand of Life called "Isopropyl Alcohol". When I bought this "Isypropyl Alcohol" the kind cashier didn't card me!

When I arrived home and cracked open my "Isypropyl Alcohol" to have a glass on the rocks, I found it hurt my stomack badly. I called the pharmaceutical headquarters at this location and they were quick to supply me with the correct first aid and I was back on my feet on no time.

10/10 would buy again.

Do not use this pharmacy as there are others literally across the street that will take care. I tried using this pharmacy for a number of months a couple years back. I found continuously rude service from the pharmacists. I had two occasions where I called ahead for pick up of medications and show up a few hours later to be told they didn’t have the medication in stock (not rare meds). No one had told me on the phone nor called me to let me know not to pick up the prescription. They were condescending and took ko responsibility. Tonight, yet again, a prescription was phoned in directly to the pharmacist for pickup, and when I showed up two hours later, they looked confused, finally tracked down the prescription not filled, and said it would be a long wait. I returned to the pharmacy based on their posted hours online to find they had, yet again, closed two hours early. Find a pharmacy that cares about you, your medication, your medical history, and has professionalism from all staff.

Hahaha The worst store ever! Today it snowed and I was booked to get a vaccination there and it was closed the entire store was closed. I had to drive in the snow all the way there without Shopper’s notifying me. I even called in advance and they didn’t answer. I would love to give this store 0 stars with the lack of communication and risking to even go there. It is surely unacceptable. The pharmacy needs (requires) improvement. I was so scared there were cars out there swerving all over the place. I EXPECT AN APOLOGY.

My father (who is a senior) had a flu shot appointment booked there weeks ahead, arrived for his appointment last night, and was told no flu shots today. Why would they not call, email, or text? Horribly inconsiderate and there's no excuse for this. It could've been someone low income arranging taxi, or a single parent needing a babysitter for this, etc. Doesn't matter who - it's so awful not to contact ahead. It's not your fault that you didn't receive your order but it is definitely bad service to not contact the people with appointments to tell them to reschedule. I would give zero stars if I could.

The website has not been updated for hrs since before covid and gas is extremely high to go there and it's closed so have to pay double in gas. Very upset. It's a chain that doesn't give a shot about its customers. Just make money

Really terrible service, first, me and my daughter entered the store to buy a frangance to my wife's birthday, when grabing one fragrance to see the price the alarm triggered, a security guard came to watch us, I just realized he was a security guard when I took the product to checkout, I though first he was another customer. Second, in the cashier the lady was not there, we had to wait a long time, when she finally came I told her about what happened and she told she called the security on us and did not even apologize and was not polite whatsoever. We gave up to buy in that place, with a person who does not know how to handle customer, a shame, would never recommend that place. Then, we went to 1627 Fort St Shoppers and we got a great service there, the lady was very polite and courteous, selected the best package and gave us some samples, does not even seem to be the same store chain, we received a type of service that makes us to become a customer. This happened around 06: 35 PM Aug 11 on Hillside Shoppers.

Worst pharmacy i've ever been to. I never write reviews but it's sickening that one of their pharmacists even has a license. I came in to pick up meds that they said were ready, surprise, they were not. I stand around for 20 minutes for the meds then another 25 because he claims my insurance is not valid (it is) and he 'can't find me'. I am a student in 7 course i don't have time to spend 45 minutes standing around in shoppers. After giving up and giving me no apologies or kindness, and acting downright dismissive of me he tells me to 'come back when i've figured it out' pretty rudely to which i express in a normal calm voice that this was a big waste of my time.

Fast forward this dude is now refusing to fill my meds based on an 'argument' he alleges we had. He literally calls me to personally let me know he won't fill it, instead of having a staff member do it. He just had to wield his petty power trip on me directly to get his satisfaction. Earlier in the day it was set to be filled but i guess once he clocked in and saw it he thought nah i'm going to screw that person over. You have to be joking. You are a grown adult working as a medical professional you don't deny people their medication due to some weird personal vendetta. When I asked for his name to report him to the college he basically dared me. This had absolutely nothing to do with my health or any sort of guidelines he must abide by, just a weird personal vendetta. Anyone around at the time would have backed me when I say there was NO argument. Had he been even SLIGHTLY helpful or understanding or ANYTHING i wouldn't have felt like I wasted 45 minutes of my life. Switched to the Pharmasave good riddance.

I put off writing this review for awhile but ever since getting a vaccination at this pharmacy I cannot stop thinking about what an awful experience it was. I was receiving my first dose of the HPV vaccine and I work in healthcare so I have a basic understanding of how a vaccination experience is supposed to work. The pharmacist was a young man who didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. He tried to charge me for the vaccine before I interjected and had to tell them that because of my age the vaccination was supposed to be free. He then laughed and continued to somewhat poke fun at me for the rest of the time we spent together. After he administered the vaccine I had to ask him when I needed to come back for my second dose along with other information that he should’ve been providing me with without prompts. He then told me to leave and I ended up leaving the store before walking back into the store to ask for documentation for my vaccination. He laughed at me again before shaking his head and providing me with proof of vaccination. The whole experience made me feel really uncomfortable and wary about his expertise. I found myself wondering how this man was even licensed to be giving out vaccinations when his practices do not meet standards at all. Luckily, I am very accustomed to getting vaccinations and procedures done; however, if you struggle from vaccine anxiety I really advise you to seek out your vaccinations elsewhere as I imagine this could be a bit of a traumatizing experience for anyone with a phobia. Will be returning to get my follow up doses out of convenience but definitely not for future vaccines. Does not engage in health promotion at all.

By far the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Doctor electronically submits prescription at 11: 30 am, show up at 7: 30 pm, not ready. Said to come back at 9: 30 pm.right! Come the next morning, takes them 5 minutes to find it.

This chain appears uninterested in supporting good health, another profiteering corporation. Imagine assaulting scent sensitive people by setting the store up so that everyone has to enter through a perfume section - they can't be serious?

The shareholders are just as guilty of this madness.

Echoing the same sentiments as many of the other reviewers re: pharmacy. Terribly disorganized workplace. Staff don't know where the filled prescriptions are 99% of the time. You receive an automated text message saying your prescription is ready, you show up, and they tell you to wait 30 minutes for the medication to be prepared. Some good employees trying to work within a disorganized mess.

This is one of the worst pharmacies that I've been to, yet I keep coming back. I had to come in 4x to get my birth control prescription. They kept telling me to come back and it'll be ready by x amount of time, yet it wasn't until the 4th time I came in. It totally threw my hormones off from not being able to get my birth control when needed.

I wish I could give a 0. Average wait time is 4-6 hours, but I had someone tell me it would take 3 days one time! When I gasped he panicked and said he would do it in half in hour. Like why didn't he do that in the first place? The staff won't even make eye contact with you while there's a huge line up of people. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE? Shoppers downtown can get a script done in 15 minutes NO MATTER WHAT.

They could not find my girlfriends prescription as sent by her doctor's office, it took 8 calls back and forth between her doctor's office and the pharmacy trying to figure out where the prescription had gone and getting it resent before someone at the pharmacy deigned to mention that their fax machine has been broken for weeks.

Absolute trash tier pharmacy, and support staff, and equipment maintenance. I'll be amazed if they don't get someone killed who was relying on meds.

I'd give 0 stars if it was an option.

Pretty bad location. The pharmacy is overloaded with orders and lacks the basic needs for proper organization. This results in lost prescriptions, long waiting lines, and rushed service. Basically every cashier appears to be on the brink of a mental breakdown. This place must be a nightmare to work in and I suspect management is the source of all these issues. I've taken my business elsewhere and I've been much happier ever since.

My wife and I noticed that ever since Shoppers Drug Mart renovated,
the customer service has seriously deteriorated.
When it was under the ownership of Paul Kwari, it was much more personable and professional.
Now it is pathetic and unwelcoming.
Please get your act together. It is unconscionable to treat customers terribly.

Probably the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Every single time I go to pick up my prescriptions, my order isn't ready despite the fact that I always phone first to ask if the order is ready for pick up. Not sure what their problem is but it's super frustrating to order days in advance, call to ask if it's ready, then show up and be told my prescriptions aren't ready and it'll be a 2 hour wait.

Went to the pharmacy with my wife to ask if they can fill out just 2 of the 7 medications that my pregnant wife needed because the medication was expensive- they declined and made us pay the FULL prescription even though they don't have enough stocks. The next day, we asked if we can cancel our preordered medications as it was cancelled by our doctor. They refused to give us refund and would not release the medications! This is a rip-off! It's very unfair not to have the medications refunded when you haven't even released it yet! Their customer service is not good neither, I found my wife being screamed at by one of their staffs. I wish I've seen the reviews here first before going to this pharmacy. It was a terrible and unnecessarily expensive experience!

Used this pharmacy for 8 years, they’ve been going downhill for years. Constantly losing prescriptions that have been faxed over. Finally had it with them after they lost a prescription from my allergist. Switched pharmacies.

I typically try to refrain from writing negative reviews but this experience stood out so much it had to be documented. It has now taken me two full weeks, multiple phone calls, three in store visits, and speaking to more than four pharmacy staff members to even attempt to get my prescription fulfilled.and I am still leaving empty handed. I requested a prescription renewal and one staff member said the prescription had been fulfilled by my doctor and the prescription would be ready by end of day. I call to confirm late evening, it is not ready and I need to come back tomorrow. I return today to be told by another staff member that no such prescription exists and I have been given an emergency supply. Omar was extremely shaming and told me to "Do him a favor and call the doctor myself. " When I confronted him that I had and a staff member told me that the prescription was available, no answer was given. I was cornered into paying an outrageous amount for a week supply prescription I use to live my day to day life. I am left to wonder whether the prescription was lost by the staff or I was outright lied to? Understandably, health care workers (including pharmacists) are overworked and understaffed but lying to clients has made me lose confidence in this business.

Literally the worst pharmacy. If you have the option to get your prescription sent somewhere else, do. It takes DAYS for my prescriptions to be ready, and it’s one of the most common prescriptions there is. I’ve never had to wait this long anywhere else. And they don’t tell you it’s going to take that long. Every time I show up to pick it up (well after they’ve told me it’ll be ready) it’s still not ready for me because the pharmacist hasn’t looked at it yet (it’s happened the last three times). And then I proceed to wait another half an hour at least in the store for them to look at it. I have no idea why I keep going back.

What I can't wrap my head around is why a million dollar corporation can't hire more staff, especially in the pharmacy. Prescriptions are hardly ever filled on time, even a day or so past the promised date. This is not just from my own experience on multiple occasions but overheard from other customers as well. Come on Shoppers, do better!

Pharmacy wastes people's time. Manager acknowledged that he already knew from the other day that the location is listed as participating in LifeLabs drop off program. They are not participating and he has not done anything to correct "head office's problem".

Every time I come, it feels very disorganized, understaffed, and staff come across as having not much knowledge or guidance to share. I will be switching my prescriptions to be picked up elsewhere.

I was overcharged for my prescription since the staff doesn't seem to understand the billing system for insurance providers. They gave a really odd explanation and the pharmacist pretty much shrugged it off. He also gave a very poor overview of the drug, which ended with "hopefully you're not allergic to it". Definitely changing pharmacies as this isn't something to mess around with.

This pharmacy doesn’t even deserve a single star. I’ve made four attempts to pick up a simple prescription this week. Each time, I’ve waited 15-20 minutes in a slow line only to find that a prescription I’ve been told has been filled before coming either hasn’t been done yet, there has been an IT issue, they’re “a little behind”, or that one of my prescriptions doesn’t exist. The employees here look exhausted, overworked, and poorly managed.

They should rebrand this location to Shoppers Mart because I’ve never seen a pharmacy struggle so much to do the one thing they’re supposed to be able to do. I was told this prescription would be ready on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and now Saturday. Last I checked, 10-15 minutes was shorter than five days and counting. I won’t be ever sending another prescription here, and if you’re reading this wondering what to think, I’d advise you to do the same. On the final attempt when I finally got my prescription, I waited for 15 minutes (beyond standing in line) and the technician actually forgot what I was waiting for while I was standing there the entire time.

I’m not angry. I’m just disappointed. Customer care, if you wish to respond this review encouraging me to call in to make my voice heard about my experience, I’d appreciate if you could just show corporate head office how terrible this location’s reviews are and address the problem instead of copying and pasting the same thing over and over pretending that there isn’t a serious systemic issue involving how this pharmacy is being managed.

That said, I wouldn't want to prescribe a treatment plan in this review on how to make this location function properly because I don't know how to run a pharmacy either.

I'll go to a back alley pharmacy for my mental health prescription before I use another shoppers. One person I spoke with was helpful and polite, the rest act like I have been wasting their time.

If you ever need paperwork dealt with for your medications, go elsewhere. There will be an extremely frustrating run around and you get to spend an unknown amount of time off meds.

I have been coming to this shoppers drug market for their pharmacy for months and have been faced with no issues. However, recently I attempted to return a product to a cashier and she had to call the manager over. The manager then proceeded to tell me I was unable to return or exchange my product with no reasoning. I inquired as to why, because on the shoppers drug mart website it did not say I was unable to do so. The manager then proceeded to arrogantly tell me that I was just not able to, once again with no reasoning, then stormed off. Maybe I caught him on a bad day? However, the customer service from this many was incredibly poor. From reading previous reviews, it is clear that this store has many issues with customer service.

When you enter off the street you have to go through the toxically smelly perfume area. I use to hold my breath to get past it.

The reason I stopped going to this store (in addition to the toxic area aforementioned) was the day I took back all the medications unused by my deceased mother I told the guy at the pharmacy there were no sharps in the bag and and he asked again if there were sharps.
I just told him my mother had passed and and that it was just pills NO Sharps (needles).
All he was concerned about was sharps, not that a long time customer had passed or offering any condolences to a family member and customer.
I stopped using their services right then. Found a cheaper place with better customer service. (and non-toxic make up/perfume area).

This is a very busy store out of all the shoppers that I've been to. Line up for the store went to the back of the pharmacy but the cashiers were efficient in helping people check out. It had all the items that I needed and I was directed to the products by someone who gave alot of helpful information.

Without question the worst drug store on the planet. Understaffed always, rude personnel, untrained personnel. Forget about getting someone on the phone. My blood pressure goes up every time I enter that store and I now try to avoid it at all cost. In speaking with neighbours on my street we all have the same view of the poor management. We now travel to other stores to avoid the pitfalls of this pitiful store and its staff. How any employee can remain working there with such a lack of focus is beyond my wildest dream. Customers are clearly not important to the owner and so it appears nor are his staff. Sad that the franchise has not been pulled by head office.

As I browsed the store, I was very unimpressed to see the pharmacist standing behind the counter with his mask off, dangling down around his chin (10-15 minutes). His whole team of assistants and everyone else in the store had their masks on. This sets a very bad example. Why would someone in charge avoid the mask mandate while the cases are so high?

I don’t have confidence in the pharmacists’ knowledge as they have given me odd advice on medication for my baby. I have also never had this pharmacy fill a prescription on time. Regardless of how long they say it will take and how long after that time I arrive, they have never started filling the prescription until I came to pick it up. Very inconvenient.

I have no idea how or why the cashier I had today was even hired. He was tossing my items back on the counter and ended up tossing one on the floor. No sorry just stood there. I gave him my optimum card amd he couldnt get it to scan, i finally said forget it then. Maybe if the guy called for someone to clear their shelf checkouts he wouldnt have a line up. Really sad you guys resort to this kind of employee that is rude, and disrespectful. From the looks of other comments, maybe its time for a new store manager. What a horribly run store.
