Shoppers Drug Mart

Been shopping at Brookswood Shoppers for past 40 + yrs (used to occupy where the Brookswood Starbucks location was). It seems since loblaws bought up Shoppers the service is next to non existent and long lineups should you need to go through an actual human cashier. Wait way too long for your Rx’s at any given time and so far 3 gift cards I have purchased over the past year have all been compromised. Maybe they need store security. Location is convenient for me but I think it’s time to rethink where I take my business.

I am not at all impressed with this location of Shoppers Drug Mart. The post office is excellent and so is the cosmetics department. BUT the pharmacy is not helpful at all. I'm not a regular customer so that could be the reason for the poor customer service. I needed to ask a question of the pharmacist. In October I waited in line while the pharmacist spent 15 minutes with the person ahead of me. When it was my turn, he was very brusque and brushed me off. It was a very simple question regarding ear plugs. I ran out two days ago, and visited the pharmacy and saw there was a different pharmacist and since there was no one in line, I asked the same question. Same response, brusque and I felt brushed off yet again. I am usually a patient person but today was another demonstration that the management of this store doesn't have customer service as a goal. The store has put in self-serve checkouts. Today there was one clerk and she was dealing with someone playing Keno and the lottery. I waited almost 10 minutes. I won't use the self-serve check outs for two reasons. First, I prefer to pay cash and second, I think that self serve check outs put people out of work. I'm sorry for the length of this review but the last 3/4 visits have been very unpleasant. Again, the post office is GREAT. They do a great job!

Went for a Covid vaccination but got lost along the way so I was late for my appointment. They were very accommodating and fit me in anyway. They were having a beauty promotion so you could try out new products. It was a very enjoyable visit.

As usual. I mostly feel annoyed at myself for going to shoppers. I know better. Bad lineups and issues as usual.

Pharmacy shorted me 2 pills of my t3's for my surgery. Either the pharmacy tech cannot count or he's stealing small amounts of pills

Would be less but can only give one star. Pharmacy people say one thing then change it then change back. They dont know their heads from a hole in the ground. Not a good place to go

This location is the biggest joke of a pharmacy. It used to not be so bad but now it’s horrible. I don’t know if the pharmacists just don’t care at all or if it’s a top down problem because they are understaffed. Either way, they straight up do not answer the phone, I’ve been waiting for almost 40 mins right now as it rings and rings. This is not the first time, it happens every single time as of the last 6 months or so. They also constantly tell you that they are behind for days on prescription refills that people like you or I need that day. Get your $@#T together Shoppers Brookswood. Brutal.

About a month ago I had my doctor send a prescription here and I went in the next day to pick it up and they said it wasn’t ready and that they were super busy and it would be ready the following day. They told me they were working with a 2 day turn around time. I have now learned my lesson to call first before having a doctor send in an rx. I understand all the short staff issues we are having, but a 2 day process time for medication in my opinion is a bit much.

Bad experience every time I go to this location’s pharmacy. They never have anything ready or organized.

My wife and I were looking for travel clinics for our upcoming trip and were surprised to hear their pharmacy departments started offering travel consultations. It was quick and easy to book and they had openings sooner than the other private ones we had inquired. Maninder was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the appointment and we were finished within 30 minutes.

FYI - Since the program is quite new and only recently introduced, there were bound to be delays. While we were told it would take 15 minutes to receive our prescriptions, it wouldn’t be until the next morning before Maninder notified me it was ready for pick up. Still very reasonable timing as it would’ve taken far longer than the expected 15 minutes to (1) scan/deliver documents, (2) address any issues, and (3) have another available doctor review and advise on additional medications/vaccines, before preparing the prescriptions.

Thanks to the great service they provided in the end, I would still recommend visiting this pharmacy location.

Excellent care and explanation by pharmacist for all of my meds. Pharmacy is very busy but the pharmacist still care!

Local and convenient location. Always here for any items I need urgently, well stocked, they currently have the most amazing sales on xmas items on clearance. Must run here

2 visits to the Pharmacy in last 4 days, 2 different pharmacists / techs helping BUT both had the same bad attitude. Read other reviews for more info.

Every time I use this pharmacy I regret it.
I try to call ahead and ensure prescription is received and they don’t answer ever. I go in and it’s not ready or not on file and the staff is rude.

I just had THE MOST RUDE IGNORANT female pharmacist at this BROOKSWOOD location.
This woman was such a B
Kept cutting my call off … I thought their system wasn’t working properly!
When I did get to the next step after 3 calls! She put me on hold with a busy signal then would cut the call off! 2 more times!
When finally got through to her she sounded so P OFF that she wouldn’t let me finish my sentences, was raising her voice telling me her information was correct … meanwhile if she had been patient and not a hot head she would have heard me say what she needed to know.
So … in closing SHOPPERS DRUGMART needs to let this rag go.

ZERO professionalism that should be top notch in your field!
AND UNINFORMED due to YOUR STUPIDITY!
Do your customers a favour and retire before you get fired.

Beware if you have an allergic reaction to a product! They will not return/ reimburse unless they are reimbursed from the vendor. Edit: Removed another star for having driven to get a prescription that the pharmacist said was ready, to just be told it was not ready and to wait or come back the next day.: (

I like this shoppers but don't agree with the sales prices I was there a few days ago and they had certain sunscreens on sale for 8.99 today I go in there and same sunscreens have a sign in front of them saying on sale 12.79 a bit confusing and betraying. It seems to be getting more expensive as with everything else but at least they could do is be more consistent and not as deceptive.

Last weekend and before that I was there for shopping when I bought 4 gallons of milk. Tonight, went there again. Since I am brown, the girl at the cash register gave me a strange look and then said you can't buy 4 gallons of milk 2 is the limit but I didn't see any signs anywhere saying that the 2 gallons is the limit. Because of that experience I do not feel like going there again.

Terrible pharmacy. Pharmacist doesn't even come give you instructions on the drug and I believe they are legally supposed to. The assistant was so unprofessional yelling across the pharmacy for my personal information because she was too lazy to walk to the counter. Never had such unprofessional and unpleasant service. Will take my business elsewhere.

Twice now I have had a discrepancy with prices. All I get is "Return it then". No, let me fix that for you or I'll see what I can do. Yoy get a blank stare & a shrug if the shoulders. Absolutely, NO Cust. Service, so this Customer will be going elsewhere.

Altered a 90 day subscription to become a 30 day subscription so they can get 3 times the processing fees. ($10 per process). Just a blatant rip off, the next pharmacy was much more professional.

There is only ever one till open as I am sure they want people to use the self checkout which is incredibly frustrating. I do not get paid to work here. Why would I check myself out.

Closed their last cashier at 945pm, with over two hours left open, forcing you to use self checkouts. Could not buy lottery. Won't be shopping at this location again.
