This pharmacist is condescending and rude. Her staff is untrained and incompetent.

We asked to see the pharmacist regarding pink eye, and the staff said she will see you. After waiting, she then talked to my elderly mother. She initially accused her of giving herself pink eye, because she used an antibiotic eye drop that was previously prescribed to myself (as I just had pink eye). I told her " looks it's not like she took antibiotics on a whim and suddenly got pink eye. My mother took the eye drops BECAUSE she already had pink eye". She then replied, "well I can't see you. You didn't make an appointment. We replied " that's why we are here. We came to have this looked at for a possible prescription. Why didn't your staff book us an appointment when we came to the counter"

I'm not sure what is going on here but training in customer service for their entire staff would be very beneficial.

While I typically refrain from posting online reviews, I feel compelled to express my disappointment in rude behavior of Harjit who seems to be supervisor. It's not just customers; she talks rude/mean to other workers, even in front of everyone. And she treats new employees badly too. I don't get how she became a supervisor. Doesn't anyone see how bad her attitude is?
Its surprising how she attained a supervisory position, as her attitude is not only unprofessional but also lacks basic etiquette when dealing with customers. It is disheartening to witness her speaking harshly to both fellow employees and new hires.

Her attitude appears to fall below even the lowest standard for customer service. Instead of assisting customers, she seems more focused on projecting a disdainful/bad attitude towards others. It raises concerns about the overall professionalism and customer-centric values upheld by the store. That lady doesnt have basic ettiquates, doesnt have any integrity. Carries really bad tone and D grade attitude.

I went to the store to return a gift I purchased with my family on 1st January 2024. While I was purchasing a gift, I double-checked with the person who was on the billing counter if it was refundable as I was purchasing a gift for someone else.she assured me and showed me the bottom of the receipt that yes you can return it within 30 days. I went to the store today 30th January which is still within 30 days. The gift was never opened, never used, or anything. The girl Muskan on the counter was very sweet and gentle.she told me that the manager who takes returns wasn't here and I could come tomorrow, etc. I told her tomorrow it would surpass the 30-day mark.she was a new hire and I understand she called the manager to confirm the return. The manager said we don't return gifts. I told her to communicate with the manager that I double-checked while purchasing and I was directed toward the bottom of the receipt.anyhow Muskan asked me If I could check with the general manager/supervisor Harjit to see if she could refund it or issue store credits at least. I went there and explained the situation and she came back to Muskan and started throwing attitude at her and in a really bad tone yelled at her in front of staff and customers saying why u send her to me blah blah blah. Anyways I explained the situation again to Harjit, she called someone and said we can't take return and you came on last day of return window so we don't have any option. I asked her what she meant. 30 days means 30 days.what is it about the last day or the first day.she was extremely rude. I explained her i double checked with the staff on the counter while purchasing.she said no one will ever say that etc etc and kept on throwing tantrums her attitude and way of speaking were extremely rude. She was just not willing to help at all.she was talking to manager on phone in punjabi and saying things that were not appropriate at all. Is this how low the standard of shoppers has fallen? The manager on phone as well.couldnt they try understand the situation? Talking bad and inappropriate about customers on phone, is this the example they set for others? A little empathy and understanding goes long way.but lady Harjit had no empathy, no ettiquates.just really rude tone and extremely bad attitude.

I’ve been trying to call all day, I have currently been on hold for an hour and thirty eight minutes not to mention all the other times I gave up today after about half an hour! The pharmacy tech finally picked up the phone, after over an hour and asked if I could hold. I said no I’ve been on hold for over an hour and she just clicked and put me on hold without saying a word.that was about half an hour ago. I go to this pharmacy frequently but the level of service by the pharmacy techs is absolutely dismal. My prescriptions alone makes your pharmacy over 1200$ in dispensing fees and profit from the sale of my medications each month not to mention any time I come in for prescriptions I also spend money on merchandise in the store. After this and many other occasions similar to this one, I’m going to go somewhere that will appreciate the money I bring into their pharmacy for very little effort. The pharmacy techs at this location are absolutely awful and if it wasn’t for the actual pharmacists who seem to have to pick up their slack and are actually doing their job properly, I would have been gone a long time ago.

Worst store management. Store manager always not on site and short on staff daily. You need to wait for half hour to address your issue.

This store used to be good going back some time but now it is a disgrace as to how management treats several customers disrespectfully. The store manager appears to have a "better than thou" attitude and speaks down to customers which I have seen.

The pharmacy needs new staff all around as they are of no good help even when you have questions about something that is a concern to you. If you call, you will end up on hold for who knows how long and when the assistant pharmacist answers, she just simply puts you back on hold.

I have been at the pharmacy many times where other customers are spoken to in a way that no one would appreciate yet they expect us to treat them or speak to them respectfully. I would say that's like painting the kettle black.

Calling "customer care" is a waste of time because really, what discipline is really given to those who treat people disrespectfully or even racially. Even if you file a complaint they just sweep it under the rug as if it never happened.

You may want to find a completely different store to go to like London Drugs, Rexall or any other pharmacy who care about their customers.

Went to pick up my prescription today (Halloween day, 31st) and the lady in mickey ears was really rude with awful attitude. I asked her to update my insurance information and she said "what do you want me to do" when I clearly asked her to update my insurance information. She definitely did not want to work there.

Went in to return an item that I found for significantly cheaper somewhere else, the employee advised that they do not take returns on food items. I read the policy before going to make a return, no where does it say that. I asked him to show me, he's like it's online it's a store policy. I told him that's fine just show me where, because I didn't find it anywhere. He refused to show me proof and said he couldn't return the item.

I went to another location and had no problems returning the item, no questions asked, item was still sealed, I had the original receipt, and went to return it within hours of buying it.

Hire people that know things and stop hiring students here on student visas from abroad. These people have no clue what they are doing.

Not being able to return things at this location seems to be a persistent problem from reading others reviews on the same issue.

I am starting my journey here, to speak openly about the unprofessionalism that the female pharmacist and females working behind the counter in pharmacy, DO NOT HAVE. I was placed on hold, told wrong information, snickered at by one of them once because I didn't feel they were taking me seriously and felt I must be a addict demanding of their time. Which was not the case.

I was in emergency due to not having my medication because this Pharmacy kept trying to make me pay for something I have never had to pay for and so I got sent doing the run around in Surrey to try get this fixed n even when I did get another prescription. I was told again, it was to be paid for.

So now I am 6 days without experiencing horrible effects sitting in emergency and I have the in hospital pharmacist and social worker next to stating how this medication needs to be given to me and that this pharmacy should know their own over ride codes, yet they told the social worker a very different thing, they said I upd my medication but that makes no sense. Anyways so we are sitting waiting to get things cleared up, knowing things get busy, yet I get the female pharmacist who is working tonight at 10153 King George SDM - YELL at me and tell me I am not welcome there anymore and that she will be telling the owner her side of the story. Which I feel she said that as a threat because she felt scared that she was doing something out of line.

I am sick, in emergency, she is educated and medicated enough to not show that side of herself and if she is starting to lash out on customers kicking them out of places she does not own, then how am I in the wrong.

Do better shoppers drug mart (well this location) I have never had any bad experiences with shoppers drug mart up northern bc to interior bc and even in Surrey until I started using this one. Which I will not be.

Bought a Maybelline New York SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick for $9.99 last week. When I got home, the applicator tip was missing. I called the store the next day to report this as I was unable to exchange it until the next week. I took the name, date and time I spoke to cashier at the cosmetics counter. I was told, no problem, bring it back with your receipt and I'll exchange it for you. Went there today, was told I need to return for a refund then purchase again. She opened the lipstick and said "oh, this is defective". She then scanned the replacement, it's now $15.97. I asked why am I not receiving the price I originally paid, I was told they do not exchange only refund and repurchase. I asked for a manager who was less than helpful. I told him name and time I spoke to Associate last week.he stated he needs to call her to confirm what she told me. He called her, I do not know what was was as he was speaking another language. He got off the phone after about 3 minutes, came to the cash, typed in something then stated that he can give it to me for $13.98 (can't adjust price eh). He stated over and over again that it was impossible to adjust price. If this was the case, why call the associate to confirm my call? This was also very disconcerting as how would I know her name). This is a pharmacy with with over 1,300 stores across Canada owned by multi-billion dollar corporation Loblaws and you're unable to override a price? I am 100% unsatisfied with this lack of customer service today. I will only shop at store that values my business. Too many choices out there to have to waste 15 minutes pleading your obvious case about a defective product when it should have been a simple apology & exchange.

Worst pharmacy pharmacists that I have ever felt with by far in my whole time having to go to pharmacy's to get service, I felt a strong feeling of be treated horriblely unfair and looked at as I was a minority of a person, myself being a middle age white male, that had to deal with a mixture of different non Canadian racial citizens that I had a vary difficult time understanding what was being said because of there horrible pernountiation with what was being talked to in English. Hours to me arriving at the ShoppersDrug Mart I had made vary clear the I had a doctors appointment scheduled for this afternoon I'm Vancouver to get my life saving medication renewed for myself. I can not belive that they hadn't even brought my request to deal with but I got a strong feeling that they had purpose ignored it and also where asking unnecessary things inorder for them to look for any reason so they that my meds would not get processed Any other pharmacy and pharmacists could have easily processed my request with ease and also minus the rude additude towards a long term customer that goes there on a daily basis for ongoing years now I truly feel like I have been treated disrespectfully and looked at like someone who is a minority in this Country that I have been a citizen in my whole 35years from birth living in this city, I MUST FEEL THAT THE SECOND I WALK IN THIS STORE I AM FOLLOWED AROUND BY THERE UNDERTRAIND SECURITY AND DONT FEEL LIKE IV RECIEVED SERVICE

Poor service, ladies in cosmetic department are too busy talking to one another and the security guard to even provide the basic customer service such as greeting you as you walk by them. Don’t waste you time or money at this location.

That stated policy does apply here AS STATED BY PARMINDER AND TWO OTHER ASSOCIATES when I visited the store on 7th evening.
The receipt and explanation for returning the ice cream was refused - apparently it is as stated to be manager directive.

I went to this shoppers and asked for a cash back. A cashier said we donot so cash backs (which is totally understandable) but i asked her for alternatives she made a face at me and looked away. I asked her to call a supervisor so i can ask him. She called a merchandiser and he replied they have atm in the store so they donot do cash backs. The staff should be properly trained and instead of making a face they should assist customer.

Wow the pharmacist lady was so rude. I didn’t get her name but she was speaking to me as if she was doing a favour on me by giving out the basic info. Which is quite literally her job.

Such people should either be let go from the job or provided better training on how to deal with customers. I would not recommend this place to new patients trying to visit this clinic. Go to any other shoppers but not this one.

To the pharmacist lady - you just lost a couple customers because of your attitude. I hope the store management takes notice of this.

I travelled from Toronto to Surrey last week and visited shoppers drug mart. Employee Shamsher helped me a lot and gave me great customer service.

Worst place to do shopping and spent your hard earned money. We bought 2 breads on Apl 1st and when we got home, we saw breads was already expired on Mar 30Th.so they kept bread in the shelfs for 2 days to try their luck and to get rid of the stock. We approached to store on Apl 3rd with out product and asked the counter girl for manager or supervisor, she called someone and then we surprised to see the guy who was wearing security uniform came to us with shopper uniform and said " HEY MAN WHAT YOU WANT" his name was SHAMSHER. After some argument (he was convincing me that it was my son mistake taht he did not check the date on the bread and that not the staff problem) he said he will gave me refund and for that he needs to call an INVISIBLE STORE MANAGER NAMED "SONIA SINGH" as no one know what time she comes and what days she works. He did not back untill 15 min and we were waiting like we commit any crime for asking our refund. WE WITNESSED A GREAT MONKEY BUSINESS AS NO ONE WAS CARING AND FEEL COURTEOUS FOR OUR WAIT AND EXPRED FOOD. HE ALSO WANTS ME TO TALK IN PUNJABI AND I REFUSED FOR THE SAME.
