Local Yaletowners are irritated with this store.
Ok.let's take a look at this bad boy.

With Vancouver's population having nearly gone up by 300% in the last 5 years, there are security guards in most stores now. The guards at this store I think would be better off joining the army.why? Well.because they treat people like they're strapped with bombs. The look, the energy, the following you around.you know what I mean.
My note: Chill Mr. Wanna Be Cop.it's just Aspirin.and no.he's not stealing it.moving on.

The shelves are always empty and the floors are always dirty.
Customer service? Oh no no.this is not that kinda place.you're lucky they let you enter. This is actually slightly funny.now that I'm writing this.it's almost like a Halloween scary house.entering this Shoppers. From the slippery dirty stairs and floors to the old cracked and empty shelves to the scary service and creepy guards.

So, the locals have a right to be annoyed. But, if you lower your standards really really really low.like almost non-existent.it might be the case you walk out not affected.

Now now Homer St. Shoppers.behave darling.just once? Please?

Unfriendly employees especially the pharmacy.

Update: Tried once more because they are close to me, went at 7pm to drop off and said I could come back in the morning and he said it would be ready for sure. I end up going the next close to noon and the exact same pharmacist the night before said it wasn't ready yet. I reminded him that he said yesterday it should be ready in the morning and he was very rude and unapologetic. Very belitting and talking down to me which I highly doubt he would do if I wasn't young or a woman. Will continue to go to Davie Pharmacy even if its a bit further away but at least they are friendly and they also offer free delivery.

I’ve lived a block away from this location for 12 years, and it has been in a state of steady decline since then. The shelves are constantly bare of products, and good luck knowing what’s actually on sale. On sale items found in the flyers often aren’t marked as on sale, and often on sale items that you take to the till are not on sale, and items that aren’t marked at sale turn out to be on sale. I’ve learned from experience to take my items (if I’m lucky enough they even have them) to the self price checker before going to pay for them. And if they actually have on sale items at the start of the sale cycle, the stock is gone in a day or so, and they never replenish it. The shelves always look like the days of COVID when they were bare everywhere. The management clearly doesn’t plan to have on sale items. Myself, friends, and neighbours have come to call it the “ghetto” location. Whoever is the owner of this particular location needs to get it together and improve the quality of the experience of going to this store. The only thing they do to satisfaction is prescriptions. Other locations such as Davie St.and Coal Harbour are superior and clearly better managed, and better stocked to meet the demands of the people that shop there.

Never puts up sale prices, empty shelves, always looks disorganized and boxes blocking the aisles. Not sure why the head office lets this place continue to operate. Definitely not up to Shoppers Drug Mart standards. Contender for worst Shoppers in Canada.

The absolutely worst store and products in all of BC. Save yourself your money, don’t come here. I bought something, the product not only didn’t work, they refused to refund me. I wouldn’t mind it, if it did work and let’s say I refunded. But to knowingly sell something that doesn’t at all have any use in their natural product aisle I think is a complete waste of everyone’s time. TLDR: sells products that don’t work and refuse to refund. Good job.

Never ever going to visit this shoppers drug mart ever again! Went to grab pain relief patches that my parents been using in the past from shoppers drug mart. I forgot the name of the patches, and have decided to talk to one of the pharmacist, the pharmacist name Madeline came, I have clearly described the patches that I been looking for in a very calm and polite way, which is made in Japan, I been getting it from shoppers, etc. And she used very aggressive way and told me that she didn’t understand what language I spoke. I was shocked, and I told her I been speaking English from the beginning, and she said she didn’t understand my language which I believe my English isn’t bad since I was raised in Vancouver and being an Asian. This is clearly racism. I don’t recommend this location to anyone, please do not visit if you don’t want to face any discrimination. Vancouver is a multicultural place, this shouldn’t happen to anyone.

Second awful Experience:
I encountered some issues with the staff's knowledge of shopper policies and their less-than-ideal customer service Today. I purchased a "Life" brand stich bandage that didn't meet my expectations. The next day, I attempted to return the product, but one of the staff members, informed me that I couldn't return it because one of the bandages had been used. I explained that I used it because it didn't work for my stitches, which was why I wanted to return it. To my surprise, she refused the return. Frustrated, I went to another Shoppers store, where they informed me that for "Life" brand products, even used items could be returned if the customer was unsatisfied. I returned the item at the other store and returned to this location to inform her of the correct policy. However, she remained adamant that she was right and told me I should shop elsewhere! Which is really unbelievale to hear it from staff! I asked her to call her manager, but she claimed the manager was absent. This situation left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

First Experience:
My experience at this boutique store was extremely disappointing. The staff's behavior was disrespectful and rude, and their attitude left much to be desired. I had purchased two nail polishes and wanted to return one of them within 24 hours of purchase. However, the staff insisted that it was non-refundable, even though the receipt didn't mention any such policy. I requested to speak to the store manager, but after waiting for 20 minutes, no one appeared. I had to leave due to a prior commitment. Later, I visited another Shoppers store, and they promptly accepted the return without any arguments about the refund policy. I strongly advise against making purchases at this branch, as it's not the first time I've encountered such rude behavior from their boutique staff. I even recorded my conversations with the uncooperative staff members.

Good store for some things, but they do not honor there online price if it's cheaper than in store. Other stores do this.

Everytime I come into this Yaletown location I’m followed around and stalked.

I was going to purchase a premium item, but I’d barely picked it up before I was descended on like prey and then told I had to pay for it right there and then.
I wasn’t finished my shopping.

I will find somewhere else to purchase this item, Shoppers will not get my business.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, they won’t have it. Being out of stock of everything is the baseline

Bad, terrible customer service. Poor willingness to resolve simple issues also don’t tell you when something is final sale.

I would love to shop here, as I grew up with Shoppers and it would be convenient for me to shop there. But, although there are some wonderful staff in the Beauty section, the service in the rest of the store is terrible. You can't find any cashiers or staff. There is a bell at the front, but when you ring it, nobody hears. They should give people a choice in service. I don't want to do all the work when I shop and it is not my job to know how to ring items in.

This review is for the pharmacy department. On two occasions my prescriptions got lost? ! And the assistant was rude and unapologetic. She probably hates her job.

I shop at this location quite often and I had nothing but good experiences. I never experienced being watched or followed by the security guard as some other customers have mentioned, yet I don’t mind a security guard doing their job of preventing shoplifters (Nothing personal)

The amazing lady at the beauty boutique called (Chanel) is a wonderful human being! Very talented and knowledgeable and I always get the greatest product recommendations from her, I have never been disappointed with a single product she recommended and I encourage everyone to seek her advice and help.

The staff clearly hate their jobs and are there just for the pay cheque. Not a lot of effort put into how they treat their customers. The security who work here are also wack. Its my go-to location cause its close to home and work but i kinda wish it wasn’t. They close way too early for a Shoppers Drug Mart in Downtown as well. Go to the Seymour and Drake location instead.

My partner called just now for prescriptions she already had on file.

The person who picked up the phone was rude and said nothing was on file even in the past, though this is a usual pharmacy she goes to.

He hung up the phone. When she called back and spoke to someone else, they put her on hold then they hung up the phone. For the third time she called, and they did the same thing.

Those are pharmacists who are supposed to have a basic level of empathy towards patients.

Pathetic and rude! Leave your job if you don’t like it, or study something else. Don’t spread your toxic behaviors around.

This city is getting out of control and if we don’t correct these businesses they’re gonna continue treating us like rubbish. No humanity and no class! This isn’t what we were told about Canada, not at all.

Wiped out shelves, unfriendly employees and security persons that hover over customers. Terrible!

The Indian security guard will follow you around the whole time you're shopping. Not exactly a pleasant experience.

Pharmacy: expensive medication delivered in cheap, rubbish dispensers which are so difficult to use.

OMG dont let the fake padded reviews fool you. What is wrong with the security? Not only are they terrible and awful at his job. If you dare show any offense to him starring you down and the constant following The next time we went to spend money there He told my BF that he was banned from the store. He never stole anything he just simply stated he felt uncomfortable. Next shop "YOUR BANNED". Seriously shoppers spend less time making fake good reviews and fix your terrably bad security gard.
