Shoppers Drug Mart

I shopped here at around 9/930pm on Feb 3rd, 2024 and was absolutely taken aback by how friendly and helpful all the staff were to me and my friend. The security guard (I wish I got her name) was the first to greet me and informed me of the redemption bonus event and to check out at the beauty counter to receive free samples.

While shopping, a staff member from the beauty counter, Jenny, came to find me on the opposite side of the store to inform me about a product I had picked up and how I could optimize on the amount of points I could get. Wow! She wasn't even there when I picked it up, which means the security guard informed her, must've had to tell her what I looked like, and she went out of her way to come find me.

When I came to ring in my purchase, they offered to calculate my basket to keep a tally of how much more I could redeem. When they discovered one of the toothbrush heads I wanted was out of stock, another staff member came out from the back with an entire bin of alternatives I could choose from instead!

While ringing me in, Jenny was so friendly and helpful. On my way out the store, she opened the entrance by the beauty till for me so I didn't have to walk around to the exit door, offered to give me a paper bag if my items didn't properly fit in the ones I brought, and sent me off with free beauty samples.

That was quite show of excellent customer service all around from the team that night. I hope your managers see this and truly appreciate the work you do.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at Shoppers. We were there around 8pm so it wasn’t very busy, and we wanted to buy some things for a points promotion. Everyone was SO helpful, it was as if we had personal shoppers. They went out of their way to help us find items and make sure we knew what our options were. Provided free samples, and helped us get the most out of our points. Haven’t experienced customer service like that in a long time, if ever. It started with the really kind and thoughtful security guard from the moment we walked in, she was really helpful. And then a saleswoman, perhaps named Jenny? Went above and beyond. Very impressed. Really left an impression, was not expecting that at all.

Although I found the store clean and well lit, I felt unsafe shopping here.

As I entered the bath products aisle, the store clerk who was blocking my part, tried to impede me as I went to purchase my product. Then while I was deciding which bath product I needed, he proceeded to tell the female clerk he was with that he was a "a power bottom". I had already, speaking to myself, but loud enough for him to hear, indicated that I was really not interested in hearing sexualized language being directed at me, by another man, in his work place.

Unless you are shopping for a "Power Bottom" I would suggest another drugstore.

Pharmacy can never get prescriptions right or on time. I have been without my heart medication twice which should be never because of their mistakes and to only be hung up on. I also have had multiple rude encounters with the pharmacist Hong Ting in which he has completely ignored me, told me come back another day, yelled at when asked a question and most recently asked if I have money to pay for my medication in a condescending tone not sure what he was getting at with that. I won’t go there if I see Hong anymore he puts a damper on my day and should retire if he is that unhappy.

The staff in this location are not properly trained on their return policy. They seem to be unaware and not willing to accept that their life brand products can be returned to the store after being opened as stated on their website. Be careful, if shopping here.

This is the best pharmacy.
They always try to help and even when it's busy they are honest with the wait times.

I applied to work at this location, they called me back, and had me do THREE INTERVIEWS before not giving me the job like wow wasting my time two additional times LOL

5 stars. I had such a great experience at the cosmetic section with Jimmy, very professional and accommodating. Usually I dont go to Shoppers for my makeup but now this is the only place I'll go. I went in for one simple mascara but left with over 10 products with Jimmy's help, all the products looked so good on me. It was a great experience to be helped by someone who clearly knows what they are talking about. I WILL BE BACK BECAUSE OF JIMMY.

Jimmy was the only one so welcome and patient with me. I would love to shop with him again.

I never write reviews however I cannot emphasize enough about how amazing the customer service was during my shopping experience today. Jimmy, the beauty manager assisted me with creating a whole new makeup collection. I was feeling down and took myself on some retail therapy. He was so friendly and was so knowledgeable about all the products and brands in the store. He helped me find the perfect shades for everything, from eyeshadows to foundation and concealer. I am so excited to try all the new products. He helped me find an amazing smelling perfume. Chanel’s Chance Eau Fraiche (12/10 reccomend, but that’s a review for a different time). Anyways, It was like shopping with a friend who gave me honest opinions on what would look best on me and for me. Thank you so much jimmy for the much needed retail therapy. I truely am astonished how amazing of a job you did today!

Few weeks ago I was helped out by Jimmy. He had an amazing positive attitude, can clearly see he was passionate about cosmetics. I have extremely sensitive skin, and have been using his recommendations for a few weeks now and my skin’s never felt better and my make up looks amazing.

The cosmetics team is amazing here. The girls all know what they are doing. Especially the manager Jimmy. I wasnt used to a man helping me with cosmetics and skincare before but hes made a believer out of me. Truly professional and fabulous. The store is lucky to have him. Love you Jimmy. See you soon.

This is my favorite Shoppers. I love the help in the cosmetic dept so much and lots of knowledge about different make up. The pharmacist is amazing there. I travel 30 mins to go there because I love the store so much

Security follows you around everywhere. I get it, they have a job to do but if you are just standing there and staring at me I will do the same. I’m just trying to see which vitamin is best suited for me. I try to avoid this location at all costs.

I liked the mail service personnel in this store. The store is a good location and good customer service. Watch the prices due to Justinflation.

Jimmy was wonderful. Knows how to treat clients and very knowledgeable on products. He treats the clients like a friend.i would come here again even though i live far away from this shoppers.

Bad service. Shoppers can’t make change for 100 dollars, they let me wait and then told me, I can go to the bank to make change. Looks like I buy thing and ask for change is the trouble to them. Never go there!

I am a regular customer of this location for over two years. All the staffs are top notch, they made each shopping experience in a smooth and efficiency way. When I saw the recent one star review regarding the cosmetic department staff, I felt it is UNFAIR and I have to stand out as a regular customer, that speak for the cosmetic manager Jimmy （seems he just joined couple months ago) who went over the beyond for fulfilling my needs each time I visit this store. He is a friendly. I will keep visiting this location since each staff in the beauty department is awesome and professional

Cosmetic dept up until summer 2022 was amazing, now Oct 2022 with the new dept managaer Jimmy, the good staff have left or quit. He is an overbearing large man and very aggresive he literally stalked me around the store letcuring me repeatedly over my personal preferences regarding shopping alone. It was a terrible expereince, I was a very loyal shopper spending hundreds every month I will NEVER return as long as that man is Employed by shoppers drugmart Sapperton.
