Pretty unpleasant experience here trying to pick up post oral surgery antibiotics. Was made to feel very demanding asking if they could have them the same day and I was willing to wait. Understand they were short staffed but could only pass on the request of my dentist that it was really important to take another dose that evening. Said they would call me when ready which has in the past not happened so I went back around one and half hour later to check to be greeted with “I told you I’d call you when they’re ready” being yelled across the pharmacy which felt pretty embarrassing. I took a seat in the waiting bit “oh you’re going to wait there are you okay”. They then began talking to each other in a different language which may well not have been about me but certainly felt like it was. Felt like such a strangely aggressive interaction for a pharmacy.

I received some of the best help and advice from the pharmacy, they were able to give me more information about my health and medication then both my doctors combined.
If I had the pharmacists name I would thank him profusely.

Haven’t used the pharmacy like other reviewers, but everything else seems decent. Sometimes fruit isn’t great though

I had a very lengthy experience at this branch. Ordered medication at 1pm and they really delayed me on it until 6pm. It’s not that they didn’t have my medication but they disregarded my order. I went there twice at different times instructed by the pharmacist but they still weren’t ready. I really don’t know how to feel.

Horrible pharmacy zero regard for patients and the importance of timing of medications. Imagine if this were a time sensitive life saving drug. Absolutely will never use them again and should be reported. They have no care at all for patients. Disgusting.

The security guard just followed me all around the store. I'm literally the same shade as her and about 10 years older. As a regular, I'm not coming back unless it's an emerg. Awful.

Great SDM with a lot of products and great selection. Appreciate the post office and pharmacy at this location too, but they can get busy.

Store usually with sale items which includes eggs not in stock. New staff recently don't know how to bake rain check and then waited 33 days for stock to arrive but then not honor my rain check excited the days ago but when I was in store last week and they still didn't not have items
Otherwise they only store i see that usually have someone at the cash till while others you need to find associates if pay cash

Don't come here to dispense medicines in the future, bad work efficiency, told me to take medicines in an hour, and said to wait another half an hour after an hour, other pharmacies are no more than half an hour at most!

Terrible experience. Security guards are racist and followed me through the store and harassed me

I have been going to Shoppers at this location since they opened because I live just around the corner from it. I must say this is got to be the worst pharmacy I have ever done business with. First off when you try to phone them to ask questions about your prescriptions be prepared for them not answering the phone for minimum 10 min I've tried to contact them for 30 min before. Second when you do show up to pickup your meds be prepared to be ignored at the counter while they walk around Luke you are not even there. Thirdly they have misplaced my meds and couldn't find them many times when they were to be picked up. And to top it off they are rude and unprofessional when confronted with there mishandling of your meds. It is by far the most unprofessional useless pharmacy I have been and dealt with if it wasn't for the location would never go there.i would be shocked if any of them earned anything over minimum eage to justify for there incompetence and unprofessionalism

Hawaiin tropic sheer touch sunscreen was priced differently in store then shoppersdrugmart.ca, Customer service desk was not willing to price match a product to their own website. Makes no sense to me. Sticking to London Drugs.

The WORST place in the east village to fill your prescription. Your prescription is often forgotten, or they don’t bother filling in time this is the most poorly-managed pharmacy I have ever encountered.

It’s actually embarrassing to see how little they care about the work they do or their patients here.

I have never, in 2 decades of having to get regular prescriptions, had such a nightmare of an experience getting one filled.

Recently had a prescription filled here and needed to call to confirm information. Pharmacists did not pick up the phone no matter how many times I called, and eventually had to call the post office section of Shoppers to ask them to physically go to the Pharmacists and tell them to pick up the phone. About 30 seconds after i asked this of the post office staff, the Pharmacists picked up my call. I may have not received my medication that day, and it was simply due to the fact that they would not take the time to answer the phone. I do however thank the Shoppers post office staff for being so kind and understanding.

Great shoppers, except for the pharmacy.
The pharmacy is the worst you could ever go to. Disorganized, and chaotic. The phone is never answered (or they pick it up and hang up), prescriptions are late or not bothered to be filled. Don't even bother having a Dr fax your prescription.

A 'relief' staff member there lied to my Dr about my prescription being filled the day before my international flight. When I went there (after it taking two weeks to process) another staff member looked for 30 minutes and then got the pharmacist on staff to look only for him to say it wasn't filled and to wait while he served a line of other people.

The pharmacist didn't bother following up with me, so i guess I will have to pay for my prescriptions out of country due to their inconsiderate, apathetic, mismanaged, blundering.

Good place to shop for your pharmaceuticals, toiletries, and even groceries. Large store and clean. Sales are usually good. Close to transit. I recommend this location.

The pharmacy lost my wife's prescription, caused tons of hassle for us. Meanwhile the technician or the pharmacist is like "Sorry, can't find it". Very unprofessional and not acceptable!

The pharmacy here is brutal. My 2 year old daughter got out of surgery and needed urgent eye drops. The pharmacist assistant was literally holding the eye drops in her hand and I asked her if there’s any way to expedite the process. All I received was a blank look. You’d think there’d be a way for people to expedite urgent medications. I’ll never use this pharmacy (or store, beyond the Canada Post outlet) again.

This store is a great place to shop. Though they are short on products, the staff is very obliging. The cashier supervisor (I believe her name was Shreya) assisted me with the refund and ensured that I was satisfied with all of the deals available in the store. She expedited the entire check-out process and ensured that there was no long queue at the check-out.

Male pharmasict couldn't find my medication he was throwing a fit looking for it. Tossing baskets, stomping around and acting super immature. He looked for 10 mins and never found it. Very embarrassing.

The female pharmacist found it immediately, shes the best.

I was a loyal client and patient of this pharmacy. I am appalled at the attitude of the new manager!

As a person suffering from mental illness in need of support. You have failed your oath. Today i was lucky doctors nurses took me in for safety and provided what i needed.

If you are suffering from mental health or worry of relapse on past trauma, even though it states in our rights and in the pharmacist college or whatever that we have the right to obtain help. DONT COME HERE go some where else for safety and dont go to the streets. Not all health workers have stigma.

It is because of health workers like that, that we cannot control the opioid crisis.

The girl working at the post office has been very short with me both times I've gone there. Very straightforward transactions but I'm still getting underlined attitude for a reason I can't figure out.

Im an autistic indigenous woman, and its my birthday. The setting powder I always use was behind an advertisement display, so it was really awkward to get the product I wanted. (Stay Matte, purple lid, works perfect for me) Enter being followed around the entire store and repeatedly asked if I needed help. Nice profiling, trash. Wont be back.

I have been trying to get in contact with Pharmacy owner Anoop Khurana for about two weeks now via the store’s automated phone directory. I started leaving voicemails on his ’private and confidential’ mailbox last week. At this point, I think I have left about four or five voice messages with my phone number, requesting a call back to discuss concerns surrounding the service I received while having a prescription filled at his pharmacy. The lack of response will force me to register my complaint with the BC College of Pharmacists. The service I received from a pharmacist at this Shoppers was unacceptable, but the owner's inability to answer his phone or to return my many calls is beyond unacceptable.

Great place to play a game with security guard. They will be after you all the time looking at you if you are stealing something.
I wonder one thing: Do people steal here too much or what is the thing? I live close to the area and its a pretty good place with some nice people. Rather than this, its good.their automatic check out is good and it makes shopping easier and faster!

Doctors office faxed in a prescription I needed filled asap. 4 days later they still had not filled it.

I have been a very long time customer and the last 6 months has been been very awful 4 months ago I dropped my prescription off one morning and the person asked me to come back the bext day? I then said it takes you a full day to fill 1 prescription? Fast forward 3 months later I had my doctor fax my prescription 30 hrs later I went to pick it up and the person told me it still wasn't ready?
I said well my Doctor faxed it in 30 hrs ago.
The person said that we prioritize our customers that come in first? O said well do you have a notice about that somewhere? Well obviously thats not true.because I reminded them of my previous visit that I tried to drop it off.he said well this is what we do and I can have it ready in a hour.or two it was actually 2 hrs and I needed my meds because I was completely out! SHOPPERS DRUG MART. GET IT TOGETHER. BAD SERVICE BAD SERVICE!

Pharmacy needs to get it together people shouldn't have to wait on hold for three hours and in line for an hour to be told the prescription that they notified you "is ready to be picked up" is not ready and to come back tomorrow then to go through the same thing again.

Regularly don't answer the phone, prescription refills take a minimum of 4 days. Not the most helpful pharmacy staff.

1 hour wait to pick up a prescription filled two days ago, about 20 people behind me. Time to change pharmacy.

The staff here are all terrific and they treat me like family. I'm sorry, it would have been 5 stars except for the security guards, as upon reading other reviews, are an issue.

I’ve never had a pharmacy tell me that waiting time for refillls is 2 days for heath important medications. I just moved to the area I sincerely hope this won’t be a negative experience. I’ve been to many shoppers never been 2 days

I was horrified and concern with customer service and how employees handle covid19 care for customers.

A couple from Brazil did not respect a man 6 feet distancing and the man complained to the cashier who in return told the man he had no right to impose his demands on others in public, though this is a well known public safety practice to saves lives. The man left upset, un heard, ridiculed by the bold, crass, rude cashier. Who now hell’s to all her colleagues a short rude, unkind personal opinion of the man for everyone to hear.

Social distancing IS IMPORTANT and your employees should be the first to politely remind those not practicing social distancing TO DO SO OR LEAVE THE STORE.

I was truly disgusted by how your cashier handled the situation.

Best experience last night with a wonderful lady working in the Pharmacy. She went above and beyond to find antibiotics for my daughter. Thank you so much for your kindness it was much appreciated at a stressful time

Decent selection of fresh and frozen products but a tad bit more expensive if you want to avoid big grocery store

Saw that hernia belts were available here. Went in and asked and no one had a clue of even what a hernia belt is. Didn't seem to want to help. Thanks for nothing.

I get my Lancets at this Pharmacy. The Company changed the box, name, style & look of the previous make I used to get. I went back to check to see if it was the right one, I asked for. The Assistant Pharmacist assured me, it would fit my machine & told me to come back if it did not fit & to ask for her. I don't want to pay for something that doesn't work with my machine. She would take care of it. Her Name was Keesha.

The Lancets fit my Machine. Other Drugstores will not refund your money if THEY are wrong, regarding Lancets.

This is one of the MANY reasons I come from across town, to use this Store /Pharmacy. I have ONLY had positive experiences. Even if they are busy at times

One of the security guards there needs to relax, he followed me in an extremely aggressive way where he was just staring at me in every aisle and crossing his arms. I wasn’t doing anything except getting my items, but this was very offensive and I wasn’t sure why I was getting this treatment, there were other people in the store and I wasn’t doing anything that other people weren’t doing. Maybe it’s my race or gender? I don’t know. Either way it was extremely hostile.

Kudos to this Health tesm. One of the finest with which I have interacted! Including Anee and Carrie and the -entire team!

Me and my boyfriend are regular customers, we use the pharmacy and spend other money in the store as well. We walk in to be greeted by a rude and somewhat panicked looking security guard. I smiled and said hi, he ignored me and went on attack mode with my boyfriend. My bf was willing to play this jerks game so he went up and down each aisle. The security guy calls in code blue back up, so another staff member comes running out to follow my bf around. He was literally breathing down his neck, it was embarassing, uncomfortable, unprofessional, just the wrong way to treat customers. I will not be spending anymore money here until we receive a full apology and free ice cream. We have spent a great amount of time and money in this particular store and dont feel like that was appropriate at all. He was actually running and making a huge scene, neither of us have done a thing to deserve that treatment and if I see him again I will give him a peice of my mind.

Zero customer service. I needed help at the post office and there was zero understanding or help. I understand policy but not when it means not treating people like human beings.

Excellent sales with some super savings quite often. The downfalls are the annoying security guards who are also very creepy and rude. Also some of the staff are very slow and a bit on the 'dumb' side. And they dont know much about the merchandise they sell and forget about the pharmacy very slow and inept! Post office is great except sometimes really long line ups.

I filled a prescription there today and the staff was exceptional. Pharmacist, Stefan, was very professional, courteous and very helpful.
