Got my passport photos taken here. First time I got it taken, the passport renewal office said both photos were scratched so something went wrong with the printing. I went to shoppers again to have the pictures redone, for the second time the passport people rejected it AGAIN and said both photos were scratched and printing/photo quality was poor. Had to go to another place to get my photos taken and waste more money. Don’t come here to have your passport pictures taken unless you love wasting time and money. It’s ridiculous how many times I had to come back here and they still couldn’t get it correct. Please fix your printing machine and photo quality. Only positive thing was that the staff was nice.

I agree their prices are too high. I used to get my meds from their pharmacy but I no longer do this as they are too busy. They ignore you for the longest time. However, I do like their PC health app.

Shoppers is a very pleasant place to shop, regardless of the department, I've been treated& greeted with friendliness & helpfulness. I personally appreciate the staff.

Really unhelpful pharmacy, go somewhere else. The pharmacist themself are okay, but the staff is indifferent, bordering condescending. Getting a vaccine and figuring out how to get it administered was a painful process. Go somewhere else to fill your prescriptions.

Went to the beauty boutique section yesterday and one of the staff there (older lady) was extremely rude. She seemed annoyed when I asked her a question. Her body language said it all as well- no eye contact or smile. Staff needs training on what good customer service is.

I'm surprised to see the bad reviews because I have had great experiences with the store, Canada post counter and pharmacy. I find the staff here very helpful and kind, I send parcels frequently and the people that work at the Canada Post counter go above and beyond. The pharmacy has renewed my scripts when I have had days between meds and doctors appts, which is so appreciated, and they are always very helpful.

The store is usually pretty busy, so expect long lineups, and I have learned that I should always call to double check the pharmacy has received my prescription, but I think in the bounds of what Shoppers can offer, they do a great job.

Myself and my family have never been to a more disorganized, incompetent, and difficult pharmacy. There have been multiple times where we’ve gone, tried to refill a prescription, and had something come up that WE would have to fix because of their poor management

- We have refilled our scripts online only to show up days later without it filled because “they dont know who will actually come… you should call ahead even if you did it online. ” What’s the point in having an online service then?
- We have had to phone our doctors to get a fax resent as they “lost the medication” and had no time to contact my doctors office directly
- In transferring our scripts to another pharmacy, we had one med filled and “ready to be picked up” with a confirmation email. But when we called to confirm it was ACTUALLY ready, this pharmacy said, “oh you faxed it over, do you want us to retransfer it back? ” and then admitted that because of this, our last refill was wasted

All manner of communication, written, verbal or otherwise is misinterpreted leaving my family without insulin, beta blockers, and other vital medications. I would never trust this pharmacy

This pharmacy suffers from a severe lack of organization and initiative. In most instances, I need to follow up with staff at every step of the process to make sure it moves along so I can finally receive my meds.

I can easily see the problem. I ask for a prescription and watch them look through a disorganized stack of faxes, then check several different areas of the work space before they discover that they were missing some information and need to call my clinic. When I follow up the next day, it turns out they never called the clinic, so I have to call my clinic to have them send the fax again. And when I ask the pharmacy about the fax, they don't realize they received it. It feels like I am doing half of their job.

I am willing to bet that some simple changes to the organizational system would significantly improve the experience for everyone, including the people working there.

Worst Shoppers location in the city. They do not stock some of the most basic items. And like all Shoppers there are no cashiers. They force you to do the job of a cashier and pay higher prices for it.

I had an appointment to get a second booster shot today. The pharmacist, Brian, was exceptional. He was efficient, thoughtful, let me know what to expect during every step of the process, and ensured it was as painless as possible by advising me to relax my arm. He has a friendly and professional manner, answered my questions, and I left feeling that I was well taken care of by a knowledgeable professional.

I stopped going to this pharmacy years ago due to them repeatedly losing my prescriptions then finally an act of mistreatment. Despite living blocks away and being disabled. I gave them one more chance last night as I needed something time sensitive and they lost two prescriptions.

Pharmacy is super rude. Unprofessional.
Sat at counter for over 5 minutes while 6 pharmacists where in back - all noticed I was there but not one of them had the professionalism to say “we will be x more minutes”. Rude pharmacists seems to be a trend in these reviews. They should have their franchise license revoked as it impacts the Shoppers brand

Not getting out of her seat she asks me if I have a question to which I reply, yes. Then asks me what it is, still sitting, to which I respond, do you want me to yell it. Reluctantly shuffles over to serve me.

I was waiting at the consultation portion of the counter, what did the pharmacist think I was doing there? ! I sensed some indignation on her part as she dealt with my skin tag.

I usually goes to this shoppers. Staff of this shoppers are really very polite and helpful towards their customers. Their customer service is excellent. I recommend all people to must visit there

Terrible service! The pharmacist says no before she even knows what you're asking her for. I needed an emergency refill of a skin cream and it took me forever to get her to give me a two day refill to carry me over until I could see my doctor.
I would never recommend this location, go to the one on Main street & 16'th instead

Incredibly horrible service, inefficiently slow and incompetent. Pharmacists need re-training and It would be preferably conducive to replace the pharmacists and staff with AI and/or Robotic means. AVOID this location.

Horrible Pharmacy service, please choose another pharmacy worthy of your business. This 1 star rating is based on multiple visits over 4 years.

Latest experience the person attending me insisted my Dr.did not send a script, which was not true my Dr.had indeed sent it 5 days prior. In fact the pharmacy had replied to my Dr.with a clarification. I had given them 5 days to fill the script because in the past it had taken that long.

Another example is that they refuse to have an adequate and consistent supply of needles in stock for medicine they supply. I need to inject the arthritis medicine my Dr.prescribed me. The excuse the tech gave me was that the Pharmacy owner does not want needles littered in the parking lot. So they gatekeep medical supplies by just not having them.

Some issues were honest mistakes, but over time every single visit became an absolute chore and their lack of care is very obvious. These issues predate COVID so you can't pin it on that.

And no Shoppers, I will not call your toll free line to make a formal complaint. I no longer will waste my time with you. I am merely writing this review so others hopefully don't waste their time either

I bought a tube of Zensa Lidocaine cream from Shoppers Drug Mart in the Kingsgate mall. The box it came in was 3.5 inches tall, the tube that came out of it was half the size, which was quite surprising. The absolute clincher though is that the tube itself was 90% air and I had to squeeze all the way to the top to get an absurdly small dollop of cream out. This is an outright scam. I refused to use it, put the cap back in and went to return it. While the cashier and manager seemed open to returning it, the decision fell to the pharmacy manager. The pharmacy manager refused to accept the return by pointing to the packaging and saying it reads there's only 1.5g in it. While he is legally right, the reality is that their store is selling a product with packaging that is not misleading, it is downright fraudulent. The average consumer doesn't make decisions by reading how much a cream weighs or how much product volume a certain amount of weight will translate to, we judge the amount of product by looking at the size of the container it is in. When you discover the a tube of product is 90% empty air and the actual product is so vanishingly small, it is practically useless for it's intended purpose, you would rightfully feel scammed. Furthermore, I didn't ask for this product by name, I asked for lidocaine cream and was handed this by their pharmacist. The least they can do is accept responsibility for selling a bad product and take it back. While those $7.49 were too precious for them to return, I hope the one good that can come from this is that someone with the power to make decisions reads this review and stops selling this scam of a product or at the very least gives customers fair warning that the tube they're getting is 90% empty air.

Epic fail on several occasions. Apparently the first time you have a script sent here they just sit on it without filling it until you call to “set up a profile” - then after you do that they’ll process the script. But they don’t reach out to warn you about this meaning your life saving medication will be delayed by their made up process.

The pharmacy has almost always gotten my prescription wrong. My doctor has moved from her office 6 months ago and they are still faxing the wrong office. Nice people but not the most diligent, maybe they need to upgrade their system to remove logistical errors.

This is like the 3rd time they've faxed my Rx to the wrong fax number! For a medication that I should take every day and not to skip. Good that I always request refills a week ahead.

Terrible pharmacy experience. Apparently they only fill prescriptions if you call them after the doctor submits the prescription and tell them to fill it. Otherwise, they do not fill the prescription. In my case, I waited for over a week after the doc sent the prescription in then gave them a call because I didn't get a notification that it was ready, to be told that they had no plans to do it unless I came in and asked for it.

The last two times I’ve picked up a prescription refill, I’ve had to wait half an hour despite the fact that the scripts were submitted a day or more before. The technicians have often provided confusing information and been overall unhelpful. If you’re looking for a place to get a prescription in a timely or competent manner, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

I must say I like what shopper's has done with their grocery department the optimum card is very helpful salespeople are friendly courteous their weekly sales are top notch so are their seasonal sales and the pharmacy staff very helpful and considerate to your needs

The pharmacy in this Shoppers is a disorganized nightmare. Long wait times, inconsistent follow ups (on three separate occasions they said they would call my Dr to get my scrip and then call me - when I returned they had not called me or the Dr, but lost my original prescription.). The staff are nice enough but their service is completely inadequate. I will not be returning and advise others to not waste their time.

The Pharmacy Department has either malicious intentions or incompetent practices. I myself had to ensure my mother's prescriptions were fulfilled by the staff as they did not properly care for her and let her leave the pharmacy without vital medications. 'She left of her own will", they said. Is that how you fulfill your duty of care or would you prefer a lawsuit? They would rather not deal with issues that inconvenience them it appears rather than actually fulfilling their job descriptions. I thought pharmacists had higher education but it appears the ones hired here are only high in the clouds with their carelessness.

The wonderful lady that helped me in the make up department on September 30 Wednesday around 430 is such a gem she took the time to help me out for a new foundation and was so patient and friendly polite I am happy with my new foundation and her customer service made it even better thank you

I'm not at all impressed with this store's customer service, especially with returns. At least it's not just me who has been refused a refund on a cosmetic item, even though this product has caused a reaction for me. Other SDM locations are more generous about accepting returns with a receipt and if it's within 30 days but not this location. I won't be shopping at this location and I'm inclined to no longer purchase cosmetics at SDM. London Drugs has far better pricing and their return policy is very generous; not to mention Sephora, Nordstrom and the Bay.

I've been using this pharmacy for years but will be moving my family's prescriptions despite the convenient location and hours. I've had the wrong dosages given on 2 occasions and had to return for correct amounts. I've been told to contact my physician for renewals then when pressed the attendant was able to fax my request by pushing one key on the computer system. It seems like a thankless job for the staff in an extremely busy location so I'll take the pressure off and go elsewhere. Too many issues not even mentioned here. Perhaps they could address their service by better management.

This shoppers generally suffers from mismanagement.
A lot of people seem to do incomplete checkouts at self checkout, and while some cashier's do not have anything to do, they don't feel like they need to clear those transactions. (I sometimes do it for myself!)
The same problem at the post office, where instead of focusing on getting clients flowing, they were trying to fix their computer access.
Generally, mismanaged.

This Shoppers Drug Mart is attached to the Commercial-Broadway sky train station so it’s in an extremely convenient location. It’s not a large store, but it does have all the essentials (and then some) including a post office and pharmacy. Definitely a Shoppers I utilize when I’m in the area. The staff are pleasant and efficient as well.

I was looking at the makeup while my partner and I were shopping and was walking around with 4 lip liners trying to decide which one I wanted. I was holding up the lipliners up to my face to see which colour looked better with my complexion. The cosmetics associate, Liana, saw me, and started to follow me around the store with her eyes glued.

While we were checking out, I decided not to get any of the lip liners and left them on the counter near some gum by the cashier. When we finished paying, we took our time walking out while collecting our bags. Liana took the lipliners I left behind and goes up to the cashier, whispering, and opening all 4 of the lipliners up checking them very carefully millimetres away from her eyes. I responded to her by saying “I did not use them, and you should know that as you were watching me the whole time” she says that yes she was watching and and she saw me open them and that they were used. I suggested she not accuse me and that she should check the cameras and that I was glad I didn’t buy product that had been used. There’s no way she saw me because I didn’t open them. Liana has a terrible attitude and creates unpleasant, uncomfortable vibes. I was the only one in the cosmetics section and not once did she greet or ask me if I needed any help, instead she walked around aimlessly, followed me (there’s a security guard for all of that) and made ignorant assumptions.

I give a 2 star because I like that this location is open late and the cashier was very kind.

Have always enjoyed shopping and getting my meds at this Shoppers location. Never had to deal with unpleasant, slow or ignorant staff.
The pharmacy team is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Hats off to Grace and Simon.
Never had any dealings with the security ppl so, couldn't really tell. If I decide to do some shoplifting, I might have to revise my opinion.

Customer service does not seem a concern with staff of this shoppers branch. I purchased a sunscreen creme, I was not happy with the quality, I took it back but they did not accept the return! They said they will not get the money back from manufacturer! Real hilarious! Anyways, I will go to another shoppers for this return and make sure never come back here!

Excellent service, conscientious staff. The pharmacy staff are such a refreshing change. Those who only get a prescription occasionally probably wouldn't notice.
If you're "Chemically enhanced" It's a rare pharmacy that doesn't give you the third degree or chiding remarks that are not said out of concern for your health, or because of the guidelines the must follow, I've never been given any attitude by pharmacy staff here and I don't have words to say how much it's appreciated.
Hey, last year I caught hell if I didn't take it, this year apparently I'need to be analyzed for drug seeking behavior if I do take it. *sigh*

There was a shop lifter shop lifting when I was there 10 minutes ago. While that is a bad thing to do, the 300lbs security guard put her in a head lock and body slammed her and yelling "you're under arrest". I forgot to mention the shop lifter was female and about 100lbs. The security guard was way over the line. There is no need to put the life of a person in danger. Even if she was shop lifting. If he landed on her wrong she could have died. When people tried to step in to tell the security guard to chill out. He let the woman go and started yelling at customers. It was quite awful to witness. The security guard needs to go back to training to safely deal with these scenarios.

Lackluster customer service, perhaps due to being understaffed most of the time. Also have had to bag own purchases when using Eco bags at cashier. Constantly missing products advertised.

The store is fine, the pharmacy is probably one of the least professional I've ever experienced, I decided to try them because I live near by, but definitely not worth it. Go somewhere else.

When I brought my prescription in, 2 of them didn't know what it was and didn't bother to look into it further. The second person to help me tried to send me to Cosco to find it! It is definitely not something you find on the shelf. But because he was unfamiliar with it and didn't care to find out what it was first, that was his advice.

I had to prod him myself and insist that he look into it further. Only then did he do that and there it was, had to be ordered in. If I hadn't spoken up for myself and insisted it was something they had, I would have been wondering around Cosco.

I've been waiting for a week and a half foe the phone call or message letting me know it's available for pick up, because I've always received a phone call from other shoppers locations. This one just didn't bother to call me to let me know it was there.

From these 2 experiences the pharmacies assistants seem super unmotivated to fulfil even simple tasks. They have a team problem.

This is a good place for basic needs. But.where the heck are the organic products? Soap, shampoo, toothpaste? I don’t want all that cosmetic chemical garbage, I want organic.get with the times Shoppers.
