Went yesterday to view a room to book for next week. The lady at front desk was so rude and pushy. Then when she showed me the room it stunk so bad I could never stay in a place like thst. Think of people staying overnight having hospital appointments and having to deal with the disinfect spray or whatever it is, that is a health issue to me. Would never stay there and remember folks check the room before paying anywhere you go cause once you pay you are trapped- meaning trying to get your $$ back. I still can't believe how rude the worker lady at front desk was to me. Right there I thought I wouldn't stay there, to me customer service is #1 and if a place doesn't even have thst than see ya. Hope my review helps others.
Always check room first cause you never know.

I have no idea about the rooms, services or pricing. But the place has been cleaned up. No more seedy people.

We booked a long stay because the price was reasonable in winter. The motel is very dated and definitely needs a facelift in the room we had. It was clean but the furniture was very dirty, needs to be replaced or a professional cleaning along with the carpet in the bedroom. Glad I had taken extra throws to cover the furniture. Bed was comfortable but mattress also wasn't very clean a proper mattress cover is needed. The night manager Paul was great and always there to help with anything we needed. Cindy the front desk attendant was also very friendly and helpful when we needed clean towels or bedding. This motel has great potential but the owners need to put some money into the rooms and refresh and update them. The layout of the rooms we saw are nice and have enough room for a month's stay. It's in a great location but due to the run down state not sure I would stay here again.

Reservation for a long stay next summer cancelled without notice. I only discovered it when emailing to inquire about something.

This is what they wrote back. “ Hi Jackie, the room your booked into was under renos and is NOT available yet this year. And Phil no longer works here. You might want to call and make new arrangements. Thank you Cindy Front Desk”

The comparable suites were booked. I may have ended up arriving in Penticton without accommodation. No attempt by the hotel to contact me.

Super friendly stuff the rooms were nice, super comfortable beds super comfortable pillows. Super close to the beautiful lake. Would totally come back and stay here again.

Stayed here for a week and planned on heading to the Kootenays with my daughter for Thanksgiving. An emergency forced us to stay in town. 7 nights turned to 8, and on the 8th night, Thanksgiving Sunday, after asking to and then agreeing to extend my stay for the second time the front desk person, who was different then the person the day before or today had the audacity to try to not only try to push through charges on a company credit card, not mine, but call me and tell me that the unauthorized charges for what amount I don't know as I never was told the daily rate, didn't go through as it shouldnt have.

If that wasn't enough they then- and remember this is after paying for the first week and this being unexpected- asks me "do you even have the money? ""

Ummmm whaaaaaa!

For an employee of a hospitality establishment to not only attempt to force an unknown amount onto an authorized credit card but then to question my financial position is outright ludscris. Where do they get off. I'm not in town because I planned on being in town, I had to stay in town due to a family emergency, and it's Thanksgiving Sunday and this is how you treat your guests? After you try to put charges on a company card? You then think it okay to say that?

Never in my life.

When I checked out this morning, Thanksgiving Monday, I explained to the front desk person, the third one in three days, what had transpired the day before to cause me to check out and book another hotel and while she seemed shocked that someone would say that to a guest it became more evident that she had no intention of righting the wrong but had intentions of trying to use this to get the other person canned. This became obvious after I was asked if I would write down what had happened so she could "file" a complaint against the previous days front desk person.

Surprisingly other then a quick sorry, there was no attempt to ask me "what could we do to make this up to you? ", whether that be through a discount, comp one of those two nights, offer a voucher for a free stay or reassure me that it would be dealt with or if I would like someone to call me about what was said.

What I got intstead was a comment about the "new, soon to be gone" front desk person from a person who obviously has a personal vendetta against the other.

And in the end it wasn't dealt with at all. Not even a thank you for your stay.

If it wasn't for the actions of one person and the inaction of another and the complete disregard of their guests, the stay would have been average if not unspectacular, and I would not be writing my first review ever and changing my opinion on the last week completley and I would have been okay with that.
But it's the little things. And the charging people's credits cards without authorization things. Or questioning their finances thing. Or ignoring them things. Or the trying to use it for their own personal gain to feed whatever drama exists thing. But yeah, other than those things, well I can longer see past those things thing. So my last impression is now my only impression. Sadly.

This is an old motel but perfect location right across the road from the Lake Okanagan, Penticton. The staffs were wonderful, welcoming and friendly. So far, we had a clean room fortunately but needed to be maintained more from the management perspective. The electrical devices and furniture’s are old, dirty and worn. There was little bad smell in kitchen room. The walls were drab and in need of fresh paint. The rooms are not getting proper attention each day. To me, the motel is running below of its great potentials.

Nice 2 bedroom suite. Clean, not too fancy but right across from the beach. Staff friendly.
