Sushi was fresh, tea was warm and delicious and miso soup was fresh. The service was great and the restaurant calmness was appreciated.

Honestly was quite average in terms of food (3 stars) but what gave it the extra star was the service and the atmosphere!

spicy tuna roll - crunchy because of the tempura flakes.not too spicy but rather, sweet with a taste of soy sauce. I feel like the sweetness would get to me if eaten too much

dynamite roll - tasted clean.no greasy notes from the tempura but also since it tastes clean, there is a lacking note somewhere, maybe because it was more on the dry side of things.

Negi Toro: was very clean.just a standard negitoro!

volcano roll: the bottom salmon was a little dry so make sure you eat it with the sauce. The top was the spicy salmon with tempura flakes in them to give it a crunch, but it felt like it was missing a little kick like the spicy tuna.nabeyaki udon: lots of vegetables, especially cabbage - which made the broth sweet. Didn’t taste like any udon that I’ve had before - in a neutral way.

Service: was really good! We didn’t call our server at all! They refilled our tea and took some plates off the table fast.

Atmosphere: Very cool atmosphere and was quite lively for a Monday night!

Great food, service, and experience. Nice place to hangout. It is better to reserve because the place is sometimes very busy.

Came here after seeing a review on tiktok. The sushi is fresh & the sunomono noodles are perfect consistency. I love the sunomono. All the vegetarian options on the menu are bright green so it's vegetarian friendly. I've already returned 5 times in 2 months. Only downfall it's hard to get parking!

I have been to this Japanese restaurant for lunch and dinner. My first experience, for their lunchbox, was good. Compared to some other Japanese restaurants on the W41 Avenue, the quality for the lunch sets were fine and you can feel satisfied with the quantity as well. The restaurant is not owned and operated by Japanese but the ambient is nice and spacious.

For the second time I visited for dinner a week ago, it was unfortunately a bit disappointing, especially the Oyakodon. I had over 50 times of Oyakodon in the past and I am sure they didn’t cook it right. Even it didn’t look similar to the normal Oyakodon. The “Oyakodon” they cooked was like fried eggs with chicken fillets. If you look at the picture I took and compare to the Google search results on Oyakodon, you will understand what I mean. This got two stars deducted.

For the salmon soup with tofu and veggies, it was not authentic as well. I felt that they just put all the ingredients and cooked in the chicken broth together. Another star deducted.

I looked at the other tables. Sashimi boat and tempura looked fine. If you go there for dinner I would recommend you not to order the rice bowls (don) and the soup.

Their service was ok. I sincerely hope the owner and chef could take it seriously on those dishes I mentioned and I will be happy to see if they can rectify the issue.

My family and I had dinner there after Christmas. We loved this place before the unfortunate fire, but it had atmosphere and unique decorating that made one feel like they were in a real Japanese neighborhood restaurant. The new decor post fire renovations is disappointing, lackluster, and very not engaging. The walls need more art and artifacts. Hang more true Japanese artifacts and restaurant style decor. Please!

Food was superior and place was spotless. The menu has a great choice and portions are big. The tuna sashimi was delicious. Best sushi in ages! ️

I was craving tonkatsu and curry and really enjoyed it here for dinner. Savory with the crispy fried pork, greens and pickles with the rice. It hit the spot for sure! I also highly recommend the spicy salmon/tuna and chopped scallop cones as they are very good although eaten too quickly to take a photo:)

This is my fav sushi place in Kerrisdale. Always has the best quality sushi at a good price. Love it here!

The service was great, food was good but it was a bit overpriced. Maybe it's because of the neighborhood, but I likely wouldn't go back when there is similar quality at half the price from many other sushi locations.

One of my favourite sushi spots, so glad they have reopened. The Scallop Magma roll is my favourite.

Upscale Japanese restaurant in the Kerrisdale community. It is pricey compared to other Japanese restaurants nearby. The food is pretty good, though. The Kimchi hotpot is a creative dish and yummy
