I recently visited Sidecut while staying in Whistler and had a great experience. All food was excellent including the 52oz long bone tomahawk. Their fall tasting menu is a good value as well given the quality of food. Cocktails were excellent as well. Service was top notch accross the board. Very attentive and friendly servers. Atmosphere overall is quite nice. Decent space between tables so doesn't feel crowded. Just a tiny bit dark for my tastes. Overall though I would highly recommend a visit.

What a lovely experience from start to finish! We arrived with no reservation and the lovely Taylor was quick to accommodate us.
We then were seated in front of the fire by Thanos, he was very friendly and welcoming. Adrian was our server and he was amazing and gave great advice for food and drink pairings. We had an amazing evening and all the staff did a fantastic job.

I couldn't be happier with our choice to celebrate my birthday at this wonderful place!
The food is the best we have had in Canada so far! Specifically, the Vitello Tonato, the Chowder and the steak were from the best we have had in our lives. Huge compliments to the kitchen, we were blown away with their creations!
The service was excellent too. Very kind and very attentive, they created a lovely atmosphere.
Sidecut has become our favorite restaurant and we will definitely be back for more.
Big thank you to everyone from my wife and me for this wonderful dinner.

Incredible service and the food is definitely a 10/10. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Whistler area looking for an above exceptional menu!

The food was amazing and ambiance is very nice to celebrate any occasion! The only reason it is not a 5 star review is that we were offered more bread from our server and we said yes we would love some more. It never came and we had to ask 3 times and to a few different staff.

This is more than a Steakhouse. This place is special on many levels. The food is delicious, a good variety of appetizers, cuts of meat and even other types of dishes. The selection of cocktails and wines superb. The service is authentically friendly and kind and timing is impeccable. It was a delightful meal and will definitely return. A special thanks to Hugo and Katie who genuinely made our evening memorable. Bravo Sidecut!

This is absolutely one of my best steakhouses I had in Vancouver, from service to food, Sidecut did a great job.

We ordered the “The Long Bone” Dry Aged for 2 of us with asparagus and mashed potato as side dishes, the kids are having their burger which they claimed is the best burger they had so far.

About the 52oz ribeye, although it took almost an hour for the chef to prepare it, I would say it is definitely worth the wait. The ribeye is perfectly cooked at medium rare as requested and the beef are juicy and tender. They have a staff to slice the ribeye in front of you and tell you a little about it. The side dishes also amazing, I have no complaints about Sidecut and I definitely will visit Sidecut again.

Took my family to sidecut this evening and was pleasantly surprised! Loved the ambience and customer service was spectacular! Thanks to Oliver, our server. Food came out pretty quick.
The oysters were super fresh and i also really enjoyed the marinated octopus

The ribeye was seasoned and cooked well!
I recommend ordering the mac n cheese as a side
Overall, pretty pricey but the ambience, service and quality of food made it all justifiable
Will recommend.

A-maz-ing. Everything was a flavor sensation that complimented each other and blended beautifully to create a dining experience to remember. Our group opted to share everything we tried: sashimi, mushroom risotto, 18 oz tenderloin, mac & cheese and chocolate cake. We'd do it all over again with zero hesitation. And while we didn't treat ourselves to their one of their cocktails, the cocktail menu is very impressive and each time one was delivered to a neighboring table it was like fireworks and we couldn't look away

Fantastic experience at Sidecut Steakhouse with friends and family. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for at this fancy establishment. We ordered the tomahawk, and it was amazing. The service was great, but the food is what will keep us coming back.

We had our honeymoon trip at Whistler, and we stopped at Sidecut in the afternoon on the last day of this trip. How could we not? We had a few drinks together here 3 years ago during our first trip together, and some of the drinks here were very memorable. 3 years ago we had the Sidecut elixir and something Highway. I believe, had a very pine, forest feel.

Oscar was our server and he was excellent. We asked him about the drinks, and while he remembered it (he even went to the bar to see if there's anything they can do), they could not make the drink since it has some custom made bitters and they're not available due to Sidecut being under some revamp. He did recommend us a few other drinks. Also, he brought us some great champagne upon hearing our marriage story:)

We had a great time - we had maharagama cooler, and third pole. The drinks were great and we also ordered some masala wings, which my wife loved despite she usually goes for dry instead of saucy. We reminisced about our first visit and time passed by so fast - and we got to experience the happy hour menu as well. I believe we had the field of green and Havana express after?

We stayed for another hour. Oscar shift had ended and we felt a bit bad: (But at the end it's all good and we had a really good time. Cannot wait to come back when Sidecut has a new look, and this time we will stay for a feast!

Great drinks and food at a good price for the area. The staff was amazing, they really make this place special. They were extremely friendly and attentive. I felt very welcomed here

I enjoyed the grilled sirloin with the puffed quinoa. Service was mostly good, found it to be a tad slow towards the end of the night when I was trying to pay.

Went for lunch and are disappointed, in summary. The food was OK, with the nachos being essentially tossed in a bowl from the bag with no further add-ons, spare ribs average and the soup and salads pleasant to look at. It took more than an hour to get everything served and the bill was exorbitant after 2 bottles of wine (what do you do when waiting for your food?).

Most unbelievable cocktail menu in North America. Try the Third Pole. You'll cry when you realize it's a house made syrup you'll fine no where else.

Food is very good—but I’ve had better at lower prices. Dined here twice in as many days. Our server the first night was very good, while our server the second night was subpar. They forgot a part of my order and rushed it. The result was a horribly undercooked and poorly flavoured mess—having had this dish the eve before, I knew how off it was. Removed from the bill, no issue. However, as I paid $75 for a steak alone, the chef should be embarrassed to rush such a poorly prepared/cooked accompaniment as a side to my meal. First night was 4 stars, second night was 2 stars. So 3 over all.

Visited this “steakhouse” on Saturday, August 17th. It was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Not only is the food mediocre at best, but their staff are incompetent con-artists focused solely on stealing the money of unsuspecting visitors. After you’re done selecting your substandard $70 a-la-carte tenderloin, they’ll ask if you want a “starter salad” to accompany their overpriced low-quality meat. If you say yes, prepare for a full main double breast bacon egg Cobb that’ll ring you $30. Multiply that over the 12 guests we had with us, and there was enough greenery on the table to start a small farm. After speaking with the manager, nothing was resolved. I’d recommend visiting IGA, buying a piece of meat, blindfolding yourself, and tying your arms behind your back – it will still be better than this tourist trap wannabe fine dining embarrassment.

So we went for lunch today, and it was the worst meal we've ever had. Everything was extremely salty including the chicken noodle soup for kids. We added a whole pot of hot water to the soup for the toddler to eat it. The batter for fish and chips was super salty too, but they claimed that they did not put any salt in the batter. BBQ back ribs were tender, but tasted really mediocre. We bought the Travelzoo voucher, but even with the voucher, it was a waste of money.

Went with a group of 12 people for a nice dinner. When we ordered our steaks the waitress asked: "Which salad would you like with your steak? ". We ordered salads which we thought came with the steak based on how she worded the question. When the salads came we were given full meal salads @ $22 per salad before taxes and tip. We ended up paying an extra $400-500 in salads we barely ate. Be careful, they will take you to the cleaners if they can.

Had an amazing 12oz Ribeye steak! One of the best I've ever eaten for sure, and as it should have been for $65. I'm not rich by any means, so this was a treat for me and the friend I had with me! Yolo! Thanks to the staff here for being so friendly and to our great waiter!

Amazing craft cocktails, impressive wine list, excellent food, and very personal service. We love this place; whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner you're in for a great meal.

Consistently my favorite restaurant in Whistler. Not crammed in like many other spots. Great service and food. I wish they would bring game back onto the menu (they used to have venison and elk).

Being one of the only fine dining restaurants I have not been to in Whistler I decided to try it out for my birthday.
Working in fine dining for years it was very hard to eat here, seeing as very few service standards were met.
My wagyu arrived with a large tendon running down the middle of the cut, and arrived medium rare instead of blue.
It took over 10 minutes to flag a someone down to our table, who eventually got our server to come check in on us. By the time the server arrived both of my parents had already finished their main course. When I asked for new sides to go with my replacement steak I was told they could reheat the sides already on our table for us, instead of being offered new sides. The waitress also forgot to bring out the birthday desert my parents had called ahead for.
For their mistakes they still charged us for the steak, and offered us complimentary desserts (We even had to send the bill back as they initially tried charging us for the Waygu I sent back and the one they replaced).
I spoke with the manager about this and was told I would get a call back after they further discussed it with their management team, however never received a call.
Disappointed in the service that night, the management that night, and the Four Seasons lack of ability to follow up and correct mistakes.
Thankfully locally-owned restaurant 21 steps was able to facilitate a great birthday dinner the following night.

This is my first review for Sidecut restaurant for a Tuesday night visit for a party of 3 adults and 2 kids. Upon arrival we were greeted and was offered to take our winter jackets which was a pleasant touch.

The restaurant has a great relaxed atmosphere and ambience with a warm setting. Our server was simply fantastic, freindly and professional and I'd rate her 10 out of 10 on her service.

The food and drinks were served in a timely manner and simply hit the spot. The food hit the mark on all counts of presentation, quality, taste and portion size.

This is a great relaxed restaurant that is worth a visit. The staff at Sidecut are simply fantastic. We found the price pretty reasonable and comparable to other restaurants of this caliber. Strongly recommend you visit Sidecut! If you found my unbiased review helpful please give it a thumbs up.
