We really appreciate having access to Sidney Island so thank you. Ferry staff are friendly and efficient and the schedule is good. Really like embarking at Dock A at Port of Sidney 8nstead of the pier.
Wow. Excellent service and the staff went out of their way to help us out with details and accommodate sone special needs that we had. Natalia was especially helpful when we were running late. Thank you! We will be back!
A great trip! The young man welcoming us on board was helpful and courteous, and the captain was very friendly and enthusiastic about the killer whale sightings on our return trip. An incredible bonus for all on board, including very thrilled children. Unfortunately, parking on a busy day in Sidney is a challenge. If you're planning to go to the Spit for more than 2-3 hours, which is the limit of most street parking and lots, you'll likely need to go outside of downtown. We missed our first ferry because, after searching for quite a while, we finally parked several blocks away in a residential area, then ran to try and catch the boat. The trip and the spit, though, are not to be missed:)
Very beautiful trip on a lovely calm sea. Crew person was very cheerful and friendly. Passengers were helped with loading and unloading camping gear. Captain even adjusted route on return trip so we could see a pod of Orca whales. Terrific day!
Omg couldn't see any signs as to where to catch the boat! Also why are there no times listed for last ferries! The sign on the boat says last ferry times and then theres no times on it.even when we got to the marina, we couldnt see any signs and there was only one wheel chair bathroom.and the waiting spot for the boat had no garbage cans anywhere so everyone leaves their stuff on the table.even the boat could have used a big sign on it as it was very difficult to locate and figure out where to go.the trip was amazing though.
We found it a little hard to find initially as I remembered taking the ferry over to the spit from behind the Sidney hotel. Parking in the lot is quite expensive for the day but we didn’t want to park farther away with all our picnic stuff. The ferry was right on time. Friendly and helpful staff. Short ride and we were over to the spit for the day. Felt like a mini holiday, even with the grand kids in tow!
Very professional and happy employees. If we didn’t live so far away in Scotland, we would see you more! This is our 2nd time on the island. Thank you. Hope you see you again. X
We went to the wrong place to get on the ferry - they called me and then waited for us. Very friendly staff and will certainly use it again with friends from out of town. It's also a nice place to be on your own to walk the trails and enjoy nature. The views are stunningly beautiful. Bring your own food and water. Easy to make your reservation on line.
I had a big group of 7 with camping gear and called them last minute if they could change our ferry schedule from the afternoon to the morning. Without any hesitation, they said okay and made it happen. Very grateful for them helping my group.
