This was actually recommended by a friend of ours, so we were expecting that it would be good, but all the food what is bland.

First the cream soup it doesn’t even taste like cream soup. Cxxpbell cream soup was better, actually.

The sweet and sour pork is so so; I mean the portion, we thought it would be bigger but it’s not.food cxxrt sweet-and-sour pork is better I think.

The fish and brocolli was bland and we have to add some pepper for it to have some flavor.

The beef and vegetable flat noodles is also bland. The flat noodles tasted like oil only, and the beef didn’t have any seasoning.

Ambiance is okay and there are a lot of seats available.

Parking area was small and was hard to find a free slot since there were a lot of other restaurants that share the parking area.

Opens late, lots of seating and mini set menu is pretty worth it in my opinion. Price and quantity of food, you really cannot go wrong.

Good portions for price, service let's much to be desired with most serves ignoring or just wanting you to give them your order as fast as possible, no questions asked whatsover. The decor is outdated by homey, not bad.

Food was good but the service was really bad, nobody actually served us and rudely they requested for a tip.

This is definitely one of the few best Chinese restaurant in Western Canada. The food was tasty and the amount is worth the money. 100% will come here again on my next visit to Vancouver.

It’s true, the prices have gone up and the service is non-existent at best, but it is nostalgic and the grilled meats are really good! I always get the 2-choice set meal with grilled chicken/beef or pork, spaghetti, beef gravy, and cream soup. The cream soup is difficult to find these days and it’s really good, reminds me of the kind I had in Hong Kong. The portions are large and the set meal comes with a free drink. If you want something that is predictable and you don’t care about poor service at all, this is a semi-pricey option for you! They don’t take credit and no split bills.

Open from 11am-1: 30am, this is an extremely popular option for those who want a late dinner or late night snack. Into the later hours, it gets even busier, so you know it's a good place. Food is excellent, although the servers might be too busy to serve you for some time, and the atmosphere for this place is not the best I've been in - I would not recommend the washrooms, that's all I would say. However, I will recommend the food, and it's a cheap place, at $10-20 for a large meal, so you can head inside. Servers are primarily Chinese-speaking, but can speak English, given that there's always non-Chinese folks there. Important thing to note, it is CASH ONLY, so remember to bring some cash into the place!

Great authentic Chinese food, big portions for the price, combo includes rice and a delicious soup, servers are friendly and are able to communicate in English very well, our cup of tea was refilled without even asking, great service, recommended

Food tastes great! Enjoy it
In my own opinion, the baked spaghetti with shredded ham and chicken tasted same as the previous Oscar in East Vancouver

This place is kinda rough, look like "da pa don", and the price seems expensive, even on the late night pricing.

I ordered the curry fishballs, and it only have 4 fish balls and costs 12 bucks and lots of potatoes. I wish I ordered for fishballs is just fishballs, not just with the potatoes.

The pasta only a few scallops and with lots of sauces, tastes not quite good.

Hope it can improve in the future

Coming into town later, we searched for a place to grab a meal late at night, and Silver Tower was one of the recommended places.

Parking, like everywhere in Richmond, is limited, but we found a spot luckily. The plaza itself had a few spots that opened late and passing by, those restaurants were all bustling.

Silver Tower is a old school classic Cha-Chan-Tang. The menu is covered in classic simple asian dishes along with asianized western dishes, ie. Baked Spaghetti. There's all day choices and dishes that seem to skip the dinner period (lunch and after 9 pm availability only).

The waitresses are all older ladies who know the menu but lost their smiles long ago. You are initiated into the experience by the chucking of menus on the table. I had a chuckled as this takes me back to some memorable dim sum experiences. Most acknowledgment is done with a nod and a face that never changes expression. However, as any asian knows, we're here for food and service as expected.

We got the Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice. When it arrived, the aroma of the umami bomb salted fish greeted our hungey palates. The "wok hei" was decent as the rice didn't clump together. The chicken and lettuce were fresh and not wilted nor dry. I do wish for thicker chunks of salted fish, but both my wife and I agreed that it was well done.

Myself, I added the Basa Cutlet with Fries. First off, I ordered for the classic Cha-Chan-Tang fried fish of my youth with the expectation that the fries would suck (as has been my youth experience). The basa was so flavorful and piping hot. The batter was likely crispy while the fish was moist. This honored that memory in my head. I wished to eat this again and again. The fries were a major surprise. They were shockingly excellent. They were crispy, yet not dry to death. My kids kept munching them.

My wife chose the Mixed Mushrooms with Seasonal Vegetables. She said it tasted great and was plentiful. She did find humor in the fact that none of the items were seasonal. I joked that maybe at this time, nothing was seasonal.

Finally, for the kids, we ordered Hainanese Chicken Congee. Oh, it's good! I questioned whether it would work, and it does! The Hainanese flavor added a whole new dimension of flavor to compliment the congee. This will be our go-to dishes here going forward.

The meal came with complimentary Chicken Corn Soup and 2 drinks. The soup was simply, homey, and delicious. I would pay for that soup. For drinks, we opted for cold lemon tea, and mine was a touch sweeter than I liked.

This was a really nice meal. I definitely would come back for many meals to come.

The food was ok but the bus aunty was super rude. Ask us to pay at least 15% tips cuz she thought we paid not enough for tips lol and complained to her coworker around us, she might think we can only understand English.

Hello Aunty,
I think our bill definitely worth a discount because of your service la, kidding

If it has zero star, i will prefer to give zero star which means it is terrible and DONT visit this resturant any more, why? I have just visited this cafe and half of the seats are empty, when i walk in, the waitress tours me to a small table which i dont want so i ask her can i sit at another table which is more comfortable, we are two
persons, the lady immly said that that table is for six persons (in fact, it can only accommodate for four persons), i reply her: " there's a lot of table empty and no guests, can i sit there? " can you imagine how she responds me? She said that if i want sit at that table, i need to
wait outside? It is really insane! The whole resturant is less traffic and more than 50 percent of the tables are empty and she asks me to wait for that table outside? What kind of service? It is insane and aims at kicking out customers and dont want to do
business!
i am very disappointed and angry about their poor service so i choose to leave the resturant! And i will never visit this cafe any more!

Food is good. Solid HK style cafe food. I personally like their late night (mini meal) offering.
Service on the other hand is completely opposite. Service here is pretty much non-existent, but there was one server in particular that was the worse out of all of them. She was shorter, black hair, wore glasses and wore her medical mask inside out.
We had to repeat our order three times in Cantonese to the server before she could get it right. Then when the food came she essentially threw the plate at the table and said nothing. Since we were sharing family style, I asked her for some share bowls and chopsticks but before I could even finish my sentence she was already walking away from the table. Mind you, it wasn't like she was carrying a dish that needed to be set down at a table, no, her hands were completely empty. I've come here many times throughout my childhood and never has it been this bad. It was essentially as if I was paying to be disrespected.
Come here at your own discretion.

The service is so bad, I bought a takeaway and left a list for me to see at the checkout, and I didn’t say how much the total amount was, as if someone owed her, if I’m too busy and there are not enough waiters, I can hire a few more

Typical HK cafe, great food no service. The salted fish and chicken fried rice is to die for!

My girlfriend ordered the 'Mix & Match 2 protein with rice/spaghetti' combo set. The menu said 'lamb chop' was misleading as the lamb came out with those lamb shoulder/cheap lamb cut with the fat not rendered out. It tasted not fresh and the very gamey. The spaghetti was cold. I ordered 'pan fried beef with stir-fry flat noodles. The noodles were bland and no flavour, the beef was dried and cold. They didnt make it fresh. Overall dish was pretty bad, ask the waitress to replace it and she seems to be not happy about it. Service was mediocre at best. This used to be a good HK cafe diner but it's lost it's quality now.
