I recently had the incredible opportunity to rent the Similkameen Wild resort and retreat center for a 3-night yoga retreat in the Similkameen Valley, and it was nothing short of a transformative experience. This hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature provided the perfect backdrop for a profound journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation.

The Similkameen Wild resort exceeded all my expectations in terms of accommodations, hospitality, and the natural beauty of the surroundings. Our group of 13 felt immediately welcomed as we arrived, with open arms and breathtaking vistas that set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

The property boasts a spacious and well-equipped kitchen and a charming dining room where we shared delicious meals made with love and care.

The accommodations provided a comfortable and cozy haven for our group, offering stunning views of the valley. The rooms were immaculate, creating an atmosphere of serenity that allowed for restorative rest and contemplation.

The highlight of the Similkameen Wild retreat center is undoubtedly the yoga space with its panoramic views of the valley. It's impossible not to feel a deep connection with nature and the world around you as you practice in this serene environment. Morning meditations and daily yoga sessions became even more profound against this awe-inspiring backdrop.

In the end, our retreat left us feeling invigorated, wiser, and deeply connected with ourselves and each other. Similkameen Wild resort and retreat center provided the perfect canvas for this transformation to unfold.

Pet friendly! This is the second time we stay at this beautiful property. It is so unique and warm, feels like you own the place. Closeness to the river is just great. Also, good wine and goodies at our leisure were placed in our room. The hot tube in the middle of the night with a good glass of wine was the highlight of our anniversary trip. Roger is a great host, we will return everytime we can!

We wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for welcoming Roman and I to your amazing piece of heaven on earth. We were referred by a good friend and chose to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary at your beautiful location.

This was our first trip to @similkameenwild, and it certainly won't be our last. Even at the end of September, we were pleasantly surprised by the great pool weather, the joy of toasting in the hot tub, and the relaxation we found by the campfires. The air was incredibly clean and fresh, complemented by the stunning mountain backdrop.

Next time, I promise to come better prepared to cook in the forno and outdoor kitchen. And a special thanks for allowing me to bring my cat, Billie – it meant the world to us.

We're already looking forward to our return. Similkameen Wild holds a special place in our hearts.

We rented the location this july for a family and friends retreat. Staff was great, management was terrible. We had agreements in place to bring our own materials and use the pizza oven to be included in the booking of the entire place. Roger the owner then decided he wanted to charge 90 per person. We ended up settling some cash on the side. I also had a quote from the resort for the amount for the entire buy out. Roger then charged us 3k more than what was agreed upon. I phoned, emailed, provided the quote that was given and then had to dispute it with the credit card company because there was zero communication back. Place is great but 1 star because the management is so terrible.

Nico was a great host. Highly recommend this place if you’re popping through or planning a stag/reunion/wedding… they’ve got you covered.

We enjoyed a relaxing evening at the resort. The room as excellent with thoughtful details; including a shop local basket with unique local items you could purchase during your stay. I wish we had had more time to fully enjoy the ammenities.
We will definelty stay again.

I was looking for a quiet place to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I’m so glad I found this place. I stayed 2 nights in the dead of winter, spent a ton of time in the hot tub and wished I had more time to spend. The views of the mountains are amazing. I’ll be back, soon I hope. First impressions, a family cottage/ farm. My wife booked us in for 3 nights, we arrived Friday evening and we're greeted by the owners and welcomed with a beautiful glass of red wine. The rooms were cozy, clean and comfy. Our little puppy was more than welcomed and became everyone's best friend. You can't find a better view of the valley and sleeping lady mountain range. Highly recommended for an unpretentious wine country experience. Will definitely be back. ️

Cannot recommend this place enough! We had such an incredible time in a very beautiful place with such kind people. The grounds and rooms are kept clean and neat. I loved that the river is a short walk away.

Pretty little resort in a small place called Cawston on your way to Nelson, etc. Ever slept in a teepee? Well these are more of a glamping experience but fun. The hosts are wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and rooms are great. Bring your own food and fix up a great meal or two in their stocked kitchen or throw something on the Bbq. Joing in on a scheduled hosted wine tasting. Take a dip in their beautiful pool. Go on a wine tasting tour or eat at one of the great dining places near by. Fabulous little get-away for that special someone.

Like a hidden oasis. This place has such a nice relaxing feel to it. I stayed just one night but I definitely plan to come back here. I stayed in the cheaper tipi, which had a large comfortable bed with puffy cloud-like bedding and a mosquito net. I took a quick dip in the pool while I was here and lounged poolside reading a book. The surroundings are beautiful, and Roger was helpful and nice. I highly recommend staying here, absolutely wonderful!

Similkameen Wild Resort is a such a vibrant, warm, welcoming, beautiful & magical space. We Stayed in the King Tepee and it was a beyond lovely experience. Clean, comfy, cozy, such a unique peaceful space to unwind & Dream in. The mountains and scenery are absolutely magnificent! The river is a quick walk and must go and replenish in. It’s all very breathtaking, we highly recommend booking some relaxing time at this resort. And a huge thank you Roger for your kindness, the lovely hello and for making us feel so welcomed. We will cherish the memories & the smiles made here forever and We will definitely be back to make more:)

We loved our stay here! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. There are lots of options for things to do if you just want to stay, but lots of fun stuff in the area as well. Everything was very clean and straightforward, and the room was really nice.

So good for the soul!:). Loved everything about this place. Roger was knowledgeable and kind and offered great advice for day trips. The breakfast choices were fresh & delicious; the surroundings were stunning. The flowers, the mountains, the wine, the hot tub. I will definitely be back.

We experienced friendly reception and unique atmosphere of this boutique resort. We also enjoyed breakfast menu that included gluten-free and alternative milk choices, as well as local fresh fruits. Coming from a noisy big city with every day rush hour and lack of time for ourselves, we value walks through the nearby forest, watching Similkameen, listening to the birds on the balcony, and excursion to the owner’s vineyard. There is a reliable wi-fi service in the room, live-stream TV, refrigerator, and clean linens, towels, and dishes in the room. Thank you to the owner and the staff.

Great little getaway close enough to Osoyoos to do things in the day but able to come back to quiet and peaceful nature to relax also

Love love love this amazing place. Peaceful, relaxing, great amenities to cook yourself and wonderful hosts. This was my second time and will be back.

Perfect for low stress, quiet retreat. Roger, the host, sets an easy-going tone, and the place is immaculate. We love the coyotes 'songs' from afar, and the River is wonderful - refreshing but neither too cold nor too fast. Good 3 hour hike nearby, great do-it-yourself kitchen and bbq. It's our go-to for a getaway.

I had a wonderful experience at the Similkameen Wild re-Treat Vineyard. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The grounds are well maintained and the location is perfect. Lovely garden terrace, great pool and hot tub, not to mention our fantastic experience in Teepee

Tasteful room, salt water pool, hot tub, and beautifully landscaped grounds, all set against a stunning backdrop of the Similkameen river and mountains. Roger and Christine are excellent hosts. Recommend the wine tour and the wood fired pizza for the full experience.

We were awe struck with the beauty all around us, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the hosts were endearing!

My team needed a break from the stress and chaos of the last year and this was the perfect place. Our worries and frets melted away beneath the glow of the full moon and its magical luminescence of the nearby mountains!

We appreciated the meeting room where we were able to bond with our employees while engaging in team building exercises and afterward we had fun learning how to roll out and build our own pizzas to be cooked in Rogers outdoor fire oven! Roger tirelessly cooked pizza after pizza while entertaining. Every person in our group felt personally welcome by Roger and Christine! By the end of our overnight trip we felt like old pals!

We recommend this hidden gem to any small business looking for a place to spend time with their staff! I hope to do this again in the warmer months so we can kayak and enjoy the water, but for now the drinks and smores by the fire were a welcome distraction to the stresses of life in the city!

We can't thank Roger and Christine for the exceptional hospitality at this beautiful retreat enough!

PS. I think this would be THE best place for a wedding!

We had a great 4 nights. March 2 - 5,2021. Lovely location, and great hosts. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The pool and breakfasts were not available at this time, but the common kitchen was clean and spacious. As we were the only guests, it was very Covid friendly. The hot tub was a pleasure every evening. We had 2 great bike rides in the area, and had dinner at Row 14 restaurant, which was also a highlight, and very convenient. The setting was very peaceful, quiet and near the river. Lots of birds. This would be a great place for a larger group to book the entire place for a retreat.

The retreat was Awesome! To be able to escape the crowds. Similkameen Wild is a fantastic mental health getaway.plus the wine is unbelievable. Will be back soon!

We stayed for a night only, but would come for a longer stay. The room was so nice and spacious. The environment is so peaceful and quiet. It can't be more relaxing. It's remote enough to be away from the buzz of the cities and we loved it.

We cut short our stay in kelowna to experience a stay in a winery because the Manager Barry called us and informed us of a cancellation he had room availability that fitted perfectly into our holiday plan. Naturally we were looking forward to some quiet and rest and took the 2 hour trip to the "resort". To be honest, the views at this place are spectacular but the rooms could do with some tender loving care. The rooms were undusted with some really worn out furniture. My daughter was given a fairly decent room but our master bedroom looked like a makeshift conference room, with a bed thrown in, My sons room was very dinghy and had some unwashed laundry was left by his door. We had to pass through some laundry machines to get to his room. The website and travel sites like trip advisor and bookings.com also does not make it clear that the bathrooms are in a common area - especially in these times of covid, we would have appreciated more clarity. Moreover the bathroom allocated to us was not private with a clear peek into the bathroom from the first floor patio. It was very uncomfortable for my teenaged daughter and wife and they waited way past midnight to have their shower. The room we were allocated also had no privacy as anyone walking outside could peak in. Overall the resort could do really well with an upgrade on the rooms. Right now, it looks like a well lived in home doubling up as a resort (at least the rooms we were offered). The free breakfast is really just cereal and fruit and I am not sure where the private beach is: (There is access to a small portion of the river through a clear path but it definitely cannot be called a private beach. That said, the pool in the premises is very clean and the lawns are clean and well maintained. The resort defiinately has plenty of potential if the above are looked into. The information and content on the website and other travel sites should be made more specific and clear so one can make an informed decision and have clear visibility of what should one expect.

Had a lovely overnight stay in the teepee. Bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom very clean. The grounds are lovely for wandering and relaxing and yje stars at night when by the campfire were amazing - rarely are so many shining so bright! Roger's hospitality was great too - introducing other guests, sharing his wine and making sure we had everything we needed. Make sure you get to Row 14 up the road for dinner while you're there too - you won't be disappointed.

Staying here was one of the most magical experiences in my life. Roger and Barry are lovely people and I long to go back there!

Marvelous place to go and relax. The view is just overwhelming. The wine is excellent. For those who don't like to get bothered, they even have a virtual check-in service. Open your room door using your cellphone as a key. We thought we were alone on the property. A repeat for sure! Highly recommended:)

Señor Rogelio run a tight ship. He's always running doing maintenance and ensuring guests have everything they need. This is exactly the place to come to for your BC adventure. It's a little unorthodox in layout, but it's wonderful. Don't miss out. DON'T MISS OUT!

We were in Oosoyoos for a wedding in July 2019. Patty was the absolute BEST! She knew all the best places to go and every place we stopped everyone was friendly & very knowledgeable. Would book again the next time we come!

Our experience was beyond all expectations. We stayed a couple of nights, wish it could of been a week.the rooms are fantastic ; comfy king bed, a/c, super view from our private balcony. The pool is the best part on a hot day! We had many walks to the river, cooked on the grill & enjoyed the nightly bonfire. Our host was so hospitable and available for all of our requests. It’s wild at this oasis!
