ZERO STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Worst experience ever at simply computing. If you enjoy feeling like an inconvenience and wasting your time, then by all means, step into this store. My recent encounter with their customer service was so mind-bogglingly awful that I'm left wondering if they've attended a special training course in how to drive customers away.

From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff had mastered the art of indifference. It's as if they receive bonuses for ignoring customers. I approached an employee for help, and it was like asking a brick wall for assistance. Eye contact? Forget about it.

The cherry on top of this disaster sundae was the minimal knowledge of staff for Macs.

Overall, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I left feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. This store is a prime example of how not to run a retail business.

I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit and to explore other options where customer service and organization are given the attention they deserve. They really need to step up its game if want to retain loyal customers.

I had an excellent experience at Simply Computing. My MacBook wasn't syncing with iCloud, and Allen provided exceptional assistance He demonstrated extensive knowledge, patiently walked me through the
troubleshooting process, and not only resolved the issue promptly but also shared valuable tips for the future. Such lovely and efficient service. I was picking up my friend's computer and needed a local sim as I'm from overseas.
I was in a rush and they were on it - found the best phone option and activated my sim for me all in under 15minutes.

I was so delighted to have Love help me out today with malware issues. He helped me out for free and was very helpful. I am not a computer person and Simply Computing has been an AMAZING resource for me as I deal with issues regarding my computer over the past three years. It is nice to know there are professionals to help those of us less techie to navigate issues.

I recently visited Simply Computing and was unimpressed with my first experience. However, I was pleasantly surprised when a manager contacted me the following morning to address my concerns. They invited me to come back in to make things right, and I appreciated their commitment to customer satisfaction. I have since returned and received the technical assistance that I was originally seeking via an Apple Care appointment.

Overall, I am impressed with the level of customer service at this computer store and will continue to use them in the future for any computer issues.

Visited this branch and had a great experience. Went in to buy a phone for my sibling and Customer care representative Jahanvi made sure our expectations were met with. She provided us with detailed orientation about all the products we were interested in and did not push any products with us. We Did not end up buying the product that day but went back in again only to purchase a product because we enjoyed our experience the last time. Thank you to Simply computing for handling us with genuine care.

Look at the yelp reviews 1st, here is my experience:
I had to wait 10 days for someone to tell me nothing was wrong with my iphone and within 20mins from walking away from the store the phone was playing up again. Do not take your phone here, just deal with Apple directly or any other phone repair shop as all this place will do is over Promise and Under Deliver, wasting your time and Money.
Too also add I received Zero help from the staff when transfusing my data from the rental phone back to my device & ended up having to go through the process of recovering my IPhone.

This place is just here to waste your Time!

The only pro; was Derik, he was pleasant to deal with and didn’t have a “know it all”/smug attitude when it came down to hearing my problem.

I took my airpods in for problems as they were 4 months old and covered by warranty, and the person I spoke to said I needed to pay a $55 deposit that would be refunded after service. I just went in to pick up the airpods (not covered by warranty, which is fine), but was told that the $55 was not refundable, and there was nothing that could be done. I never write reviews, but this was really awful and I feel ripped off.

After trying to get service at another locations we decided to check out Simply Computing and received the best service! Brandon went out of his way to guide us and make calls to help with my situation with Apply Care. He took his time and we came before any calls coming in which goes along way in my opinion. I had a loaner phone on the spot that he set up and once new phone arrived he promptly shipped mine out with his UPS order. All this for no charge! This is our go to store! Thanks guys!

Super friendly staff that goes above and beyond when your iphone refuses to work. Derek worked on my phone literally from the moment the doors opened to when they were closing for the night. Highly recommend.

We have purchased 2 iPads, an Apple Watch, an iPhone13, and a MacBook as well as a backup drive from Simply and have always been pleased with the sales and service persons. We continue to return to Simply for that reason. They also almost always have stock of the items we need.

Ordered the series 8, AirPods Pro and Apple TV. Smooth process would definitely recommend using due to the easy plan. Be first to get apple products instead of wasting time at the Apple Store and also having a worse finance plan. Kumar is the guy to talk to, he knows how to help customers.

Great experience getting a repair done, while I was hoping it would be same day the excellent care provided and speed of the repair is nothing to complain about. I took my phone to London Drugs initially and they never actually repaired my phone. I take it to Simply, and the get me a replacement unit under manufacture warranty!

Special thanks to I believe it was Brooke, for helping me confirm my phone was working and answer any questions I had upon leaving. Will definitely be coming here again for my future Apple needs and servicing.

I had my battery replaced in my Macbook Pro, but they forgot to put the screws in the back. Now they want 5-7 business days to put the screws back in or $160 to do it in 2-3 days. I can't be without my computer for that long so now I have to live with back cover that is not attached.

Great Apple computer shop. I haven't seen a store like this since the days of the small but friendly shops like Bytz for Bratz here in Kelowna.

My experience was mainly positive. Had to bring in my AirPods Pro and the guy I delt with was great and the end result was they got fixed like new.

The small thing keeping this from being a full 5 star is my AirPods we’re marked as “fixed and ready for pickup” 10 mins after I dropped them off which I thought was weird so I called to check and the gentleman kept n the phone just didn’t seem like they wanted to deal with me so I ended up having to drive all the way back down. Upon my arrival I was told a hardware reset fixed the issue dispute me saying when I dropped them off that I already tried that. However I gave them the benefit of the doubt and sure enough the issue still persisted, so the tech handling my case went back upstairs and ran another test that he admitted he should have done before…turns out my right AirPod Pro had to be replaced.

All in all a great experience and my issue was resolved but just those little hiccups stopped it from being a true 5 star.

Good experience here in Kelowna!

Make sure you get the right information regarding 3rd party accessories as there can be some confusion!

I bought two systems and two wireless keyboards here, a while ago I also bought a laptop and when that didn't work out for my situation / needs they were happy to offer me a refund last year.

I've purchased a computer here, and that experience was great. Last week, my computer seized and the keyboard got out of sync. Walked it in to the shop, showed it to the person at the desk, and they fixed it there and then. Didn't charge me, and didn't ask me for my phone number to check my warranty or anything like that. Fantastic service.

I've been in several times since moving here last fall and have always been impressed. Most of the time I have dealt with Andrew and he is excellent - talented and very knowledgeable. I've also noticed how other staff deal with customers and it is always apparent that they do their very best to address peoples needs and concerns.

Purchased new MacBook there. Data transfer went very smooth. I like the fact they are local and seem genuinely interested in helping.
Tech Korey is AWESOME. He’s really knowledgeable and I’m glad he’s using his powers for good and not evil. Kudos to him and Ben for computer transition.

Can’t say enough good things! Apple recommended Simply Computing to me to get my Beats headphones fixed. After Apple made the process long and painful trying to talk on the phone and do things by mail, being able to go to simply computing made it such a breeze! They talked with Apple directly and saved me so much time and were able to work out the issues with the headphones and got them to me good as new. Thank you! Will definitely be recommending to everyone.

Very knowledgable staff, came in with a friends computer that was on the edge of explosion, and they had luckily had the exact battery that was moments from dominating the case and guts from dieing instantly. Thanks for helping me help her.

My old dinosaur of a MacBook Pro crashed on me as well as the battery pooched. It wouldn’t hold a charge. Simply Computing replaced the battery for me, for a great price too.
I failed to mention to them that the laptop wasn’t booting up properly, that was my bad.a friend of mine told me that since it’s an old MacBook, I should be prepared to pay 600+ bucks to have it fixed. I took it in and I paid the 54 dollar diagnostic fee for them to have a look at it.they ended up fixing my laptop and called me in less than a week to pick it up. When I asked how much it was they said I had already paid the 54 bucks for diagnostics and she’s good to go. I was floored! Awesome service, awesome people, not looking to rip you off like most places if you don’t know a thing about computers.

My computer was serviced and fixed faster than expected. Despite the technician suggesting that the erratic and frequent kernel panic error is most likely caused by software, after two months of telephone and on-line support by senior Apple technicians, the computer has been completely operational since its return from Simply Computing. Thank you!

Have you ever been WOWED by someone's customer service? Made to feel like you are the only customer that matters to them? Lately, I have had just such an experience from Andrew and staff at Simply Computing in DT Kelowna! I entered the small computer store to kill some time and browse at the newest in Apple tech. That's when I met Andrew, whom I later found out was the manager of the store. (But every employee there was on the same page as Andrew when it came to customer service FYI). I am an Apple everything kind of guy and was first a bit leery about even entering the small store, mostly because of poor customer service and jacked up prices I had experienced in the past with other smaller computer outlets. But, I found myself drawn in an immediately greeted with a smile and friendly hello.
The reason Andrew was so helpful was because he was never trying to upsell me to something I didn't want or need. On the contrary, he showed me all of the products I was looking for in order of quality and not just the most expensive! Taking them out of the packaging for me so that I could compare the products I was interested in. He sold me exactly what I was looking for and just what I needed, but the biggest plus was Andrew's knowledge re: technology. I have been looking for a new SMART TV for months, reading reviews, humming and hawwing, trying to decide which one would be the best for streaming my Netfix and Crave tv. I was willing to spend around $1500.00 to make sure I got a good one. My issue is that I have a newer Sony Bravia Flatscreen that I love but wasn't allowing me access to my online streaming.
Andrew introduced me to Apple TV as a $200.00 alternative to a new $1500.00 tv purchase and it has made my viewing experience 1000 times better! Seconds to set it up and vwala, I now have my great Sony tv with the best smart tv box on the market!
I hope this review helps and to all at Simply Computing, thanks for everything!

PS. AND I know they take care of their customers after the sale too because while I was in the store I got to experience how the staff treated warranty claims and device setups to customers who where inquiring.
IF YOU are a Mac person and you need anything Mac, including wise counsel, I recommend Simply Computing for all your tech needs!

IPhone X was dead, was to be sent back to apple and somehow this group was able to get it working. Went from 10 day fix to same day fix. I used the apple support app to make a 10am reservation the night before. Thank you Simply Computing.

Having the manager yell at you before even saying hello when simply wondering about the cost of a service that was not explained was not the best feeling in the world. After politely explaining I work in customer service and never would try to upset anyone I was just simply trying to understand the cost breakdown as a student who is on a budget this experience was very overwhelming and the manager was simply mean and aggressive in his behavior. After using the tactic of being extremely nice to make him understand I was not upset and there was no reason to be yelling at me he then explained his behavior as “having to deal how people in Kelowna think they can just come in here and yell at me. ”problems with this assertion a) generalization b) i never yelled:)

Recently had an issue with the keyboard on my Macbook. Took it in to Simply computing and the woman who helped me was extremely helpful, I believe her name started with a T (Tynisha?). She was very helpful in explaining potential issues, the process of having their tech take a look, and gave me an accurate timeline on when I would hear back. There is about a $50 fee for them to take a look at it, but that goes towards any repairs or other costs. I heard back the day they told me I would, luckily they were able to fix the problem easily and my computer was good as new. There was no additional cost for the work they did. Everyone I was in contact with was extremely helpful and professional. Will definitely be going to them for any computer issues in the future.

Absolutely horrendous service. Took my laptop in to get serviced because it would not turn on, they told me no one could look at it for 4 days but when someone gets around to it they will find out what is wrong with it. Several days later I pick up my laptop and they told me it would not turn on and they did not know what was wrong with it but I would still be charged the $55 fee for someone opening it up. I was never told that the $55 I was paying was going to simply be for someone to try to turn on my laptop and see that it does not turn on (that is why I took it there in the first place). The manager was so disrespectful to me and tried to "mansplain" that I can not and should not ever walk into somewhere and ask for a refund for a service that I do not feel I received. NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY MONEY FOR NOTHING AND BE YELLED AT!
