Recently I visited Simply Computing in Langley. I brought my old iMac in and looked at options. It turned out to be a seamless transition to my new refurbished iMac system. The data transfer kept everything familiar and user friendly.
I really appreciate the time Stefan took to help me make the decision that was right for me.
I will absolutely recommend Stefan and the staff of Simply to family and friends.

Great experience. I walked in first thing Saturday morning on a long weekend desperate to have someone look at my laptop. The technician wasn't in until the following Tuesday, however with a bit of troubleshooting Mitchell was able to determine the issue. I left the shop just over an hour later with a fully functional MacBook and a business card.thank you!

My son had an old IPad that would not start and was so upset. We went in to the store not knowing the outcome and had help from 2 amazing representatives. Mitchell Talanchuk and James Timmins were more than kind in explaining why the IPad was literally dead and what to do when buying a new iPad. They went over pricing and Apple care in detail. For someone who is not tech savvy I would recommend anyone needing help to seek out these 2 reps. I’m in their debt for the help they provided and we did end up buying a new iPad with the Apple care. I came in with a broken and antiquated computer that I could have sworn would have meant me spending upwards of several thousand for a new device. Instead, the wizards at Simply Computing spruced up my hard drive and transferred it into a used model with a faster processor for a fraction of the cost. The revamped computer works great; I strongly recommend going to these people for ALL of your computer needs.

Had such a great experience, with every staff member efficient and committed to helping me get the most of my apple products. I called about replacing a cracked screen, and ended up getting two laptops looked at as well! These guys really know their stuff. A special thanks to Stefan and Mitchell.

They do not listen to your complete problem. The tech may be smart and good at what he does, but they will call you a liar! I have never felt so insulted in my life! I was advised if the problem persists to take to Apple.

Save your time and just go to an Apple Store! What a JOKE!

That includes product knowledge, personal attention, being shown reasonable or creative options without unnecessary up selling - even carrying my heavy 27” iMac out to my car. Great customer service and staff that has been there for years! They really know what they are doing and have repair and service answers for you right away. Time estimates on repairs are accurate as well as the price estimates!
If you don’t go to Simply Computing, you are seriously missing out!

Simply Computing? Simply a waste of time!

Made an appointment through the Apple support website for an out of warranty battery replacement to have my phone's battery serviced right there in store. From the second I got there, I witnessed this rep give a previous customer great service, so I was glad I was there. It quickly turned sour. Within a minute, the impression I was left with was that they just didn't want to do it, even though I was fully acknowledging that I was paying for it. Everything from "it could take up to 10 days for Apple Audit" to "You should have made an appointment" which I repeatedly said that I made the appointment for this service to be done. I can accept that an Apple Audit might happen, and like I said in store, if it happens it happens, let's proceed. Hey, I can even accept that they lost the appointment, it happens, I would have happily rescheduled.

He started telling me that I didn't need a new battery, that the battery that was in there was working just fine. I told him it wasn't in my opinion (my phone hadn't been used out of the norm this morning, and 1 hour into my work day, I was down to the mid 60%) and I'd still like to replace the battery based on my experience with another iPhone with worse battery percentages than were being reported but the performance was much better (a previous year iPhone with a percentage way worse than what was being reported on my current phone). Given that I'm spending about 4 hours a day roughly on average talking (not texting, TALKING on it, though I do that too) on it for work, I need a strong battery during COVID so I can continue working remotely where I don't always have access to have it sit on a charger all day. Based on the old phone (only 1 year older) working better under the exact same conditions needing to be charged less, I figured this battery just needed to be replaced. The worst part of my experience, in my opinion, was when he started rattling off the list of apps quite loudly so the other customers could hear. There's better ways of showing me whats draining my battery, while still respecting my privacy, such as "here you can see which apps are draining your battery" versus reading them aloud one by one so every other customer in the store could hear. Totally unprofessional.

Finally, I said, look, my employer is paying for the replacement, lets just do it. He replied with "Apple won't let us repair it if it's not under 80%". I don't understand why that statement would be true for any out of warranty repair. Since it's out of warranty, and I'm paying full price for it, shouldn't I get to be the decision maker? Besides, based on what he was telling me, he said my phone had only twice gone over 100% usage, however, every night this week it's been charged when I'm home and not working (or travelling in my truck), and I've still been on low battery mode when I go to bed and charge it for the night. Is it not possible that the battery meter might be off? And even if that was the case, why wasn't that the first thing he mentioned? He never said anything about this until I pressed him to just do the repair that I would gladly pay for, which they refused to do, so I left.

Fortunately for me there's another Apple authorized repair partner in the mall where "Simply Computing" is. They are doing the repair for me right now as I'm writing this, for the same price, using the same parts that "Simply Computing" would use, and the tools (and parts) are provided to them by Apple. I recommend people shop elsewhere for their needs. Have been to "Simply Computing" before and my experience that time wasn't any better on a MacBook repair that I was forced to overpay for, and won't be returning. There are other, better options for consumers than a business that quite frankly doesn't want my business.

The people that work in the store are amazing. Great people to buy from.
I would avoid financing any product through their associated company SFS Finance. They do not care about your business. Recently paid off a loan with them and they decided to take money out of my account for another payment.
For your safety please avoid them at all costs.

Brought my late 2013 iMac in for service as it was very slow and lagging. Simply Computing suggested that installing a SSD instead of having to purchase a brand new iMac would meet my needs. They were right! I am thrilled with how well my reenergized computer is working. The staff was also very patient and helpful with those of us who are not tech savvy.

I had some upgrades for my MacBooks (a 17" & two 13"s) here. They did wonderful job for all of my laptops with a reasonable price. One has a logic too old to fix, but I insisted to get it fixed. They recommended me not to waste money on my (2010 17") MacBook which has a sentimental value to me: so much memories with it. They were right. After one fix, there were other problems with my beloved machine. I got a new laptop eventually. Should they have not stopped me, I could have been still pouring my money on that machine. The staffs are competent, knowledgeable, and polite. I recommend this place.

Honestly, super impressed. I messed up my keyboard trying to clean it, and ended up damaging a key. I called an alternate place, and they said they'd need to replace the whole keyboard for close to $200. I took it to simply computing, and they (free of charge) fixed my damaged key as best as they could to make it functional. They said they would likely need to order a new keyboard (only $100 from them) to fully fix the problem if I wan't okay with the quick fix. I decided to move ahead with the repair. In the end, they ended up finding a spare part laying around, and fixing just the one key, and charging me (get this- $26.00) From $200+ at a competitor to $26. These guys are professionals, and I'll definitely be using them for any future repair needs, and to purchase my next macbook from.

We were dismayed our 2year old IMac was unusable. The educated staff at Simply Computing quickly diagnosed and offered a simple solution to have it updated and working as it should.
1 day and it was in A1 condition!

I had a very positive experience at this store - driving all the way from New West - and particularly due to Jacob. I bought a used MacBook Pro and had some initial problems with the life of battery. Jacob tested it out, it came to a reasonable level, but it's what I call GOOD SERVICE as they could have simply said 'no, things are fine, ' but instead installed a new one - and although it may have cost them a few dollars to do - gained a lifelong customer. That's the way to run a business as I'll be back.

This review is a little late, but I had a repair done by them late last year. My main issue with them is that they never disclosed the fact that for them to look at your device, it costs $50. They only discussed fees after I had given them my macbook and was long gone. The reason why I have issues with this is because when we were talking, it seemed like they were going to just take a quick look at it and see if they can do it, similar to how london drugs does it. However, unlike london drugs, they actually charge a fee for this, which I was unaware of. If I was told there was a fee for them to just look at my device, I would not have given them it. The only reason why I continued with the repair is because it would've been a waste of $50 to pay them to get my macbook back when it could go towards the repair. Aside from that, the guys I was talking to were nice and the actual repair was good, but for $400 to replace a top cover and battery I would assume it should be. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not recommend them and suggest that London Drugs is the better option since they are also an AASP and have always done well for me. I believe in regards to apple products, they also do not charge the extra tech fees simply computing does; I was quoted 350-378 for the same repair if I remember correctly.

TLDR: Repair was good, people were nice, but I was not told of their "diagnostic fee of $50" until after I left my macbook in their possession and they had done the work so I would be charged. Prices are also a bit higher than other AASPs/Third-Party Repair shops.

I have been patronizing Simply Computing for more than twenty-five years - and for good reason. The Geek Squad doesn’t hold an apple compared to the true professionals, found at this long surviving Apple treasure trove of computer wizardry.

The personal approach to one-on-one customer service sets this niche organization apart from the big box outlets. You can actually walk in off the street - without appointment, and be offered the dedicated attention of an Apple specialist focused on your needs, for as long as it takes.

If there were a 6th star in the offing for outstanding quality customer service, these people would no doubt garner it.

I'm so happy that I found this place. Stephen had no problem diagnosing the problem on my old 2013 iMac. He fixed it up, and then I messed it up again during the setup process. When I called to tell Stephen that I messed it up again, he quickly invited me back in to fix the issue that I created. Outstanding customer service by Stephen and his team. Definitely coming back here for my computer needs.

GO to Simply, it's better than any apple store for knowledgable staff and Steff the manager is better than any you'll find at any apple store. I wouldn't go anywhere else (including apple stores) unless I had to. In fact Simply was in business before APPLE STORES existed. I have known Stef the manager of the Langley Simply since before my first dec 1999 macG4 bought at Simply. The G4 still runs but retired for a newer 2011 Imac 21" that Simply has updated well and it still runs well. We also have 2 macpro's in the house too. All machines serviced at Simply and running. Recently I had a motherboard and battery on a 2012 macpro 15" replaced at Simply Langley. Work is always well done and quick. APPLE STORES were a spoke in the works for Simply when they opened but Simply still thrives, mostly because of the very knowledgeable staff that are way better than any at the APPLE stores. Support your local businesses, because they are better, cheaper and faster than any APPLE store. If you have a problem with your mac take it to simply, they're the best.

I brought in my 5 year old MacBook Air for water damage and they said that it was unfixable, and asked me if I wanted to buy a new one or have them recycle my computer. I took it apart myself and it seemed to be fine, turned it on two weeks later and it works fine. The only issue is that the keys are a tad sticky from a spill accident 2 years ago. I'm not sure why they said it couldn't be fixed.

Call to get the microphone on my $800+ iPad mini, told can fix mics buy a new one. Really! Good thing I decided to call TechRX guys. $150 later both mics and volume control replaced perfect.

Ed at Simply Computing went above and beyond helping me with a computer program he’d recommended that I was struggling with. I have a Mac from 2009 that is still in nearly perfect working condition thanks to the folks at this store. Rather than having to buy a whole new MacBook Pro, they were able to upgrade my hard drive and breathe new life into my old computer. In addition, they have consistently helped me with program workarounds and just overall tech support. For someone that isn’t very computer savvy, I feel extremely supported by them and will recommend them 100%. Thanks Ed and everyone at Simply Computing!

Ed was an INCREDIBLE help at Simply Computing in Langley! Yesterday I came into the store stressed because of malware on my Mac, and HE WAS A WIZ at targeting the root of the issue. Not only did he fix the problem that was causing me anxiety with my search engine, but he also enlightened me on tips for preventing the risk of getting any more malware on my Mac. Words cannot express how thankful I am for the hard work that Ed did for me! He spent close to an hour on my Mac with both diligence and professionalism. Nik, the other employee was also so supportive as he worked alongside Ed a few. Their teamwork capabilities, character, and passion really proves their ability and desire to help others' needs. We had an older computer that needed a hard drive upgrade. Spoke to Ed and he gave us all the information we needed to make a good decision about our computer. Took the computer in on Tuesday mid day and it was upgraded and done by Tuesday afternoon. Our computer is like new again and works so much faster now! Very impressed with the great service here. Instead of buying a brand new 27 inch Mac from the Apple Store, where I went first, I saved a ton of money by just getting a new hard drive installed in my 2011 computer by Simply Computing. These guys were very knowledgable, honest, helpful and quick! Highly recommend! It's like I have a very fast and new computer! Thanks! Highly recommend!

We have taken our iMac to Simply computing twice. Both times they repaired our compter and charged us exactly the quoted amount. We will be back, but hopefully not too soon.

My iMac reported that the hard drive was failing. Took it to Simply, they confirmed the drive had "bad sectors". Came back the next day to pickup my iMac in perfect working order as if nothing bad had happened. Also, the SSD they put in made my Mac way faster, so added bonus! The fastest repair from the Apple Store was 5 days, after waiting nearly 30 minutes even with an appointment. After that experience I always head to Simply as my first and best option.

Dropped in to have a 27 inch IMac serviced. The attentive staff took the time to diagnose the problem and offer solutions. They completed a series of tests and went the extra mile all while catering to other patrons. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
