My partner spoke to this fool over the phone. Needles to say, he is one of the most arrogant people she has spoken to. He wants to charge us $1500 for three 1on1 sessions and then a few classes with a group of other dogs IF my pup passes his 1on1 sessions. BUT if my pup fails his 1on1 sessions he still charges the $1500 but we are not welcome to attend the group classes. What a joke.

When we first contacted Jeff, our puppy Buddy was difficult to walk. He was jumping and biting and often hurt us, even though he was an otherwise sweet dog. After our first session with Jeff and ecollar training, Buddy was changed! He understood what we wanted him to do and was fun to walk! Thank you, Jeff!

I have a 21-week-old Rottweiler named Bruno. I hired Jeff when my dog was 8 weeks old, and I am so thankful I did! During Jeff’s first visit Bruno was displaying anti-social behaviour that I didn’t notice until Jeff pointed it out and explained how serious the situation would get if I didn’t immediately address it. Jeff taught me how to properly socialize a puppy and how to encourage Bruno around strangers and over a short period of time Bruno changed completely. He is now the most socialized dog I’ve met. His vet told me he has never seen a better-behaved puppy when Bruno went in for his vaccines. I’ve had strangers ask if Bruno could interact with their toddlers after seeing how amazing he is when he plays with other kids. He’s helped multiple parents introduce their kids to dogs without the dog getting too overstimulated and jumping and nipping. It’s amazing knowing I can go out in public with a breed that most people are afraid of and have swarms of people asking to pet him just because he is so well socialized.

Everything mentioned above happened before Jeff even started the training process. Jeff specializes in obedience and not trick training. Bruno learned how to “come” when called, go to his “place”, “sit” when told, and “heel”. Because we started so early, he never had the opportunity to pull me on walks. I don’t think Bruno is even aware pulling it’s an option because he learned how to properly walk on a leash when he was so young. Bruno seems so much happier than the other dogs I see outside because he has a job to do and because he was so well socialized that nothing phases him. The “place” command makes morning and evenings a much more enjoyable experience because I can give him the command and he sits on his matt and waits while I make breakfast or dinner.

Bruno occasionally has some resource guarding tendencies, but the training has given me the tools to address it right away which has been a game changer! If I hadn't hired Jeff when Bruno was 8 weeks old I would have had an out of control dog by the time Bruno reached 12 weeks old. I guarantee I would not be able to handle him and sadly Bruno would have had to be one of those dogs that never get to go anywhere because they are so unpredictable and mainly stay in their backyard. I am so thankful to Jeff and his team because I know that is no longer in Bruno's future.

Jeff recommended we restrict Bruno’s interactions with dogs on our walks but encouraged him to play with the dogs in his training class. Since all the dogs that participate in the training have been trained by Jeff they have proper social skills and the ability to teach puppies like Bruno to play and develop fundamental social skills. Bruno never barks at other dogs, he’s never aggressive. I never have to worry about his reaction to other dogs and I’ve had so many complements on walks from strangers when they see a dog growling and pulling on the leash to get to another dog while Bruno (a puppy) calmly sits next to me and waits. The program is not just for bigger breeds like Rottweilers. Currently there are French bulldogs, Papillons, Aussies, Poodles, and other smaller breeds. I have been in the program for months and have never seen a single dog fight or a situation where it could lead to that. Jeff and the other trainers are amazing and very helpful.

Bruno is by no means a perfect dog (he is still a puppy and tests the boundaries of what he can and can’t do), but I can see his potential. The weekend training sessions have helped tremendously because I can observe other dogs who have been in the course longer and I know what I am striving towards.

Jeff will teach you how to train your dog, but it’s up to you to keep it up. The program only works if you stay consistent and motivated. I cannot recommend Jeff’s program enough. Even if you’re not sure about e-collar training I highly recommend you give Jeff a call and sit in on one of the weekend training sessions, it might just change your mind.

This experience with Jeff at Sit Happens is the best training we have ever had with all of the dogs we have trained and loved as a family. Lucy came to us as a rehomed dog at the age of 22 months old. She was born during covid, therefore her social skills were very weak and she did not have great outdoor behaviour. Prior to trying Sit Happens we spent a lot of money trying to find a trainer that could help us retrain and curb the poor habits Lucy had developed from birth until we received her. I had several friends who had done Sit Happens over the years and their dogs were always so well behaved. Because the concept of an e-collar is deemed socially unacceptable by so many we have always shied away from using them. With no luck in improving her listening and behaviour through verbal training we reached out to Jeff and began the training. Today Lucy and our family are thriving with enjoying visitors in our home, walks outdoors around other dogs to off leash when safe for Lucy to enjoy running free. Jeff and the training he does through Sit Happens has changed our lives including Lucy's. Thank you Jeff for your gifts and talents as a trainer, your care and attention to ensure the success of both human and dog and the lifetime training and support we are offered while Lucy is apart of our family.

I would give Sit Happens a10 start rating if i could! Rip my 1 yr old bernadoodle was UNENJOYABLE. Jumping, pulling, not listening, stealing food from the counter, being a bully to his bigger brother, very mouthy you name it HE DID IT. I hated taking him out for a walk. Even people in the neighbourhood new him as the CRAZY puppy. So i sent if off to sit happens for a 3 week board and train. I would get almost daily videos and photos of his progess. Even after one day they sent me a video of him being calm on a walk. I thought for sure he was hypnotized LOL. Every video they sent i was in AWE of his progress. Juergen was absoltley amazing with him and he was loved so much in his home. When they dropped off Rip 3 weeks later. I actually cried. Cried happy tears. I have a dog that is now SOO enjoyable to take out and when we go off leash i have people saying WOW he is so good how were you able to him to listen so well and not have to repeat myself. Sit happens gave mine and rip's life back. Truley amazing. Would recomend Jeff and Juergen to anybody. My only regret is that i did not find them sooner.

Thank you so much!
