Nice place to eat and look out the windows into Gastown. Great food and service, interior and music is really nice too.

Food was delicious, wish the menu was a little more clear.quiet and cozy inside when we went.

The food was very delicious, must try chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. I loved it. Its worth every penny. Would love to go there again!

Ordered paneer tikka masala, and garlic naan. Curry didn’t come with rice like other restaurants. Garlic naan is soggy and expensive. Whatever they might claim this to be, it is not paneer tikka masala. Plus its really really oily.

Reason: Had a weird smell!
Also, the glass that I got for my drink was dirty.
However, the waiter was friendly and nice.

Restaurant was empty. Food is really good. Service was pretty good. Decor was really nice but music was a bit distracting

Sitar is amazing place! As soon as I entered here, I felt like I’m in India ahah. Indian music and decoration added to the exotic atmosphere.

Needless to say, foods were also great!

Will definitely visit again soon:)

Worst Experience ever. The lady server was very rude as she abused us, that's the reason why the restaurant was empty.

I have visited this restaurant with my friends. It has amazing portraits and musical instruments with vintage style and the food is absolutely amazing.we had the tandoori chicken, lamb Rohan josh and goat masala with garlic naan breads with couple of pakoras to start and ended the meal with the tasty kheer. Definitely recommended.

Given the location of this place you can assume that's it's quite busy? Wrong. We went in for dinner and the place was completely empty. The man at the front was nice but our server was a bit clueless (didn't even give our table cups of water without us asking). The food is nothing special it won't blow your mind at all. Lesson here is that if a restaurant is empty, it's not a good sign. Gastown has way better pubs and bars to offer. Don't waste your time.

Best Indian food in Vancouver I ordered chicken curry, Dal Makhani and Garlic Nan. Dal makhani was delicious but chicken curry I would say the best I ever had in any other Indian restaurant. Server really took care of us very friendly and jolly.

Some of the beat versions of traditional India I've ever tasted outside of the country.

Typical Vancouver weather forced us to look for quick options around gastown, Sitar got our attention, 3 of us friends decided to dine at sitar. It’s a cozy, quite place with mellow music and calm environment,
We ordered lamb biryani, kadai chicken and couple of Garlic Naan’s
Must say biryani was flavourful with succulent pieces of lamb, pretty much as a biryani should be….
Kadai chicken had good flavours and the spice blend could be felt on the tastebuds
Garlic Naan was also good, freshly done
The entire dining experience was good, very welcoming staff.
Must try this place folks!

The butter chicken was amazing. And the staff is extremely friendly. The ambience is wonderful. I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good food and a pleasant dining area, prices were a bit steep. Bathroom had a powerful black mold smell to it.
