Got Al Capone and meat lovers with normal crust the Al Capone was awesome! Lots of cheese toppings and fresh veggies. It was really good the cheese was on the crust and made it like a cheese stick so the crust tasted even better! Great pizza overall. Recommend the Al Capone normal crust

41st and oak location is unlike any other! If u take the time to be specific like me (I ask for cheese to be spread right to edge of crust) they welcome and specifics u want on your pie, and they are Super generous with toppings its unreal! Worth the price

This isn’t anything close to deep dish.unless you think deep dish pizza is just making more crust… super salty and pretty much just dough. Deep dish pizza is supposed to be about the stuff that goes in the pizza not just making it look big but almost entirely just with extra dough… total dissatisfaction.

Thought I'd give them another try. Ordered the Chicago deep dish pizza (addtl & 10.00). I even called to make sure they make it deep dish! When I received it, the pizza was just a regular large pizza. There was barely any filling!
Called them to complain and was given the run around. Never going to order from them again.

My partner grew up in Chicago, and we both love a good Chicago pizza so we were excited to try this place. I rate it 3 stars because it isn't Chicago style pizza. It's a thick crust pizza, sure, and it was just fine, but advertising it as Chicago style is misleading. They even had a picture of Chicago style pizza on the wall that looked like it was taken from an ad for a different restaurant BUT I will say the pizza wasn't bad, the crust was even pretty good.

Don't judge a book by its cover. I went to this place and guess what order pizza from here every weekend. The delicious deep dish pizza are yummy in taste. Enjoyed it.

First time ordering. I woke up and wanted to try Deep Dish pizza. I never had it before. I got the large Al Capone deep dish style. I LOVED IT SO MUCH! So tasty, so full of toppings. Worth every penny and then somw. Will definately be ordering again. Thanks for making it! Chef's Kiss ‍

Gave 'em a few chances based on nostalgia, but tonight is definitely my last time getting Slice of Chicago. I can't keep throwing away half pies.

Pretty average. The sauce didn't have a ton of flavour which IMO makes a pizza. The crust also wasn't really what I would expect from a "Chicago deep dish" - didn't have that layer of cheese to make it super crispy and delicious. I could see this being decent late night or hangover food, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to order from here again.

Pretty damn good. Chicago chicken with white sauce is bomb! Sucks no delivery on weekdays though

The pizza is good over all but it's not Chicago style pizza at all. They just have a thicker crust than the next pizza place and by that I guess they mean "Chicago Style Pizza" it's definitely misleading.however it's not bad! It's still very good!

This store has been around for years now. Big fan of there deep dish pizza. The pizza is always fresh with quality ingredients. The owner & staff is extremely friendly too. Do check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Found this whole in the wall when I was heading back home, thought I’d give it a try. Pizza is very good with loads of toppings.definitely get the cheesy bread it’s really good. Staff was very friendly too. Definitely coming back again

Delivery took way too long due to “technical difficulties”, they forgot parts of our order (refunded but still annoying), and the pizza sauce is take your appetite away salty. Almost more salty than I am right now for spending money on this.

This is definately NOT Chicago-Style Pizza. If you have been to Chicago, you know what I'm talking about. They don't use enough sauce or cheese and the meat portions are extremely small compared to in Chicago. It's quite sad that they try to tease you with the name Chicago style but when you get it it's not Chicago style at all. It's a cheap Canadian knock off.

First few bites were awesome until.had a bite of the "sausage". We called/complained and learned the other meat on the pizza was chicken and not sausage. So, my wife and I swallowed spoiled chicken. CHICKEN, of all meat, the highest potential risk. They offered a discount & fresh pizza, no thank you. Salmonella & food-safe is waving.

Would have been great if they did not serve spoiled chicken toppings on our pizza.

Ordered online, received no confirmation. Called to confirm, didn't get a time estimate for pick up. Got home and the deep dish was deep but not full. It was just a really high crust. The crust was bad, like it had been sitting out for a while the toppings were pretty good. But for the cost it was not worth it at all.

Loved this place.pizza was ok, but i just loved the employees, and when i used to go i always went with my sister.good times.

Looks & tastes like freezer pizza - Plus I spent the next day running to the bathroom - Do not put this garbage in your body. Totally disgusting.

I think they have all the ingredients they need to step it up and really try to do a Chicago-style pizza. I'd like to see them try!

Ordered a gluten free pizza from here off of Uber Eats but received a regular gluten pizza, didn't realize it until I was one slice in. I called to address this concern but I was told I would have to reorder and pay again, no offer to replace the wrong pizza delivered.

I've ordered pizza from Slice of Chicago numerous times and it's always been good. They make it exactly the way I order it and the price value is great.

Amazing and reasonably priced pizza, excellent service, large slice size, and in a good neighbourhood. It's a great place to grab a slice.

I just got home and had my first ever pizza from this place.in fact, this is my first ever Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. I was pleasantly surprised! This is really tasty pizza. And my husband, who used to live in Chicago says it is pretty good! Keep up the good work, sir. Decorate the place a little more. Make it more inviting! But other than that, no complaints about the food.

This is the first time my family and I have tried Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. We didn't even know we have this type of pizza in Vancouver. My colleague raved about it and I just had to try it out. This place is small and unassuming but I'm quite impressed with the service and the food we ordered. The pizzas we picked up came out piping hot. I couldn't believe how heavy the boxes were! The smell was amazing. I'm impressed with the generous amount of toppings, the texture of the crust, and the flavour of the sauce. I ordered a Mediterranean Pizza and was ecstatic about the size of artichokes. We also ordered cheesy bread with a side of spicy sauce. Wow! That spicy sauce is no joke. Loved it though. I'm definitely ordering again and will try their other pizzas.

Yeah, don't have much more to say. If you love deep dish pizza, this is THE place to get it. End of. Let's not get into semantics of if it's authentic Chicago pizza or not. This pie is worthy on its own, coming from an extremely friendly staff, at a price that won't make you weep if you're not a homeowner in this city. Do yourself a favor, get one, and be mindful that a small deep dish is enough for even the biggest eater!

The ingredients especially ham, pepperoni, bacon are the worst quality I've ever tasted from a pizza joint. I think I would've made a better pizza home instead. And the fact that price was way over par is incredibly disappointing. You guys need to improve the quality of ingredients and research how to make a pizza.

I’ve never been to Chicago before but I’ve often wanted to try a Chicago-style pizza. Known for their deep crust and ample amount of filling and sauce, it smacks in the face of all of the thin-crust pizzas that are readily available in the Vancouver area. And with Covid still going strong, there’s really no better time to stuff your face with a ton of carbs.

Now, to be fair, I never expected Slice of Chicago to be a truly authentic purveyor of Chicago-style pizzas. I mean, one look at the menu with their Butter Chicken and Tandoori pizzas and you should know better (perhaps this is due to their location in the Punjabi Market area of Vancouver). Still, we decided to order The Chicagoan ($23.99 for medium). At first glance, this might seem a bit expensive for a “medium” but don’t be fooled… this is a massive pizza.

The crust of the pizza rises up quite high and, at first glance, looks like it would be too much. However, it’s probably needed to contain the toppings: pepperoni, ham, ground beef, mushrooms, green peppers, shrimp, pineapple, olives, onions, mozzarella cheese and their Chicago-style sauce. I’ve heard that Chicago-style pizzas are usually much more saucy and, hence, difficult to eat by hand without covering yourself with a tomatoey mess.

Overall, the pizza was pretty good. The crust was somewhat thickish on the bottom (which is to be expected) but it had a nice crustiness to the bite. I also liked the variety of toppings on this pizza (although I wish they were piled a bit higher and with more sauce).

While this may not be representative of a true Chicago-style pizza, it’s still pretty good and definitely a filling meal.

This is not a real deep dish Pizza, You just pay $10 dollars extra for more dough to be rolled up the side.
Save your money and go to Chicago instead, this place was a disappointment.

It's decent pizza, but it is not even close to a Chicago deep dish pizza. It's just a very thick pizza. Lots of bread and toppings, very little sauce. Just a typical pan pizza. Nothing remotely similar to a real deep dish pizza. Drove pretty far to try it but was disappointed.

I was working nearby and decided to try their pizza. The owner greeted us and was very welcoming. Pizza was very tasty with fresh toppings. Definitely my favourite pizza place in southVancouver

This isn't true deep dish pizza. Toppings seemed poor quality and the chicken wasn't fully cooked. Very unimpressed. Really confused by all the positive comments here.

Ordered delivery. Took 2 hours to get here and im less than a 3km drive away called after an hour they told me it had already left.waited another hour.pizza was ice cold. Wings where ice cold. Pizza is fairly good even though its cold. There debit machine thing wouldnt connect so i had to pay cash and buddy didnt have change so i had to tip him honestly would not recomend and for the extra money for deepdish its not worth it.

I grew used to them not filling our order correctly, if you order sides or beverages, don't expect to actually get them. I've had the driver renegotiate the price at the door numerous times because they forgot something.

Today, I was told they wouldn't fill my order as I was "too far away". I've been ordering from here for years. I guess a straight one street drive of 15 minutes is too much to ask for now.

Slice of Chicago used to be one of my favorites, but they obviously aren't interested in taking my business, despite the fact I kept going back to them even after constant order errors.

TLDR, they make a good pie, if they can be bothered to take your business.

Best pizza I've had in years. Ordered a large Chicago-style pizza and split it between 3 hungry dudes and still had 2 huge pieces left over. Tons of toppings, tons of cheese, and the staffer I talked to was a sincere guy who takes great pride in his pizza. Couldn't ask for a better experience. This is my new pizza joint.

They value their customers and their feedback greatly and deserve the recognition for it, they made technical issues on their part and delivered my pizza late, however within an hour I got a call from the staff apologizing for the inconvenience. 10/10 customer service on their part. Really good food.

The only deep dish place I know and the best pizza around the city. Tons of toppings, fresh dough, great location, does delivery for extra charge. Great deals, typically pretty quick delivery as well. Never had to call and ask where the hell my pizza was. Wish there was more places like this!

This pizza is undoubtedly the best in Vancouver and the service is even better. The staff is very friendly and genuinely interested in delivering the best quality and taste to their customers.
I took my friend here all the way from Surrey and it was a evening well spent, all thanks to this place

Pretty good experience. Tried first time with friends. The staff member was super friendly asking us if we been there before. Told us about the place and recommended size for us. Even offered us a half half of Hawaiian and chicken one. When he found out we were eating in he prepared a table for us and offered utensils too. One medium size deep dish was good for 3 of us and near the ended based on the staff recommendation we tried a triple choco brownie which he kindly warmed up for us as he advised it tasted better which he was right. Next time we go back, gotta try the garlic sticks he recommended too.

Their deep dish pizza is amazing, good price, good service and if you're close-by they deliver for free!

Wicked Pizza! The pizza itself is amazing quality but that aside.their service is even better. Long story short they fumbled our pizza before it was delivered and it wasn't up to their standard so they made us a fresh one. On top of that they brought us BOTH so it didn't go to waste!

The interior is run-down and dirty looking. Definitely doesn't inspire confidence. They used the wrong toppings for the pizza they made too.

First time ever having deep dish, so maybe my impression was wrong, but not what I was expecting. Really no difference between a regular pizza. Not terrible, but not great. Crust is hard and flavorless.

Amazing staff and prompt service. We got a small Al Capone deep dish to-go, which was perfect for 2 people to share. Tasted great. -1 Star because the pizza is, unfortunately, no where near an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza; it's more like a thick crusted pizza. Crust isn't the same, nor the order of ingredients. Nevertheless, it was still delicious, just temper your expectations.

Pretty expensive for the quality you get, with strangely undercooked ingredients. Who puts pepperoni *underneath* the cheese? Serving sizes are very large though - got a deep dish medium and it was enormous

Unfortunately, this isn't actually deep dish pizza. Don't trust the rave reviews. It's really too bad that Vancouver doesn't have a place that serves actual deep dish, and I had to be on vacation in the SF Bay area to finally have some.

The pizza is amazing, so delicious, variety of options, and good ingredients. The 2 guys who work there are so nice. The place is not comfy at all and doesn't feel that clean, so you would hesitate to eat if you go in person, but you will be surprised on how good the pizza is.

This quiet hole in the wall makes an excellent authentic Chicago deep dish pizza with lots of fillings and a thick crunchy crust. Good and tasty. $39 for a big thick pizza good for 6 to 8 people. I would have given 5 stars if they had a better waiting area and toilet or basin to wash your hands.

Its basically Pizza Factory with more bread and crust. I dont get these rave reviews. The ingrediants are not high quality but the service was prompt and friendly.

I read the reviews, and felt confident ordering from this place. The pizza was big and hefty, but mostly because of the dough. The toppings tasted cheap and mediocre; the crust was heavy, thick, and dry. The pizza wasn't even that deep! Nothing as advertised, especially when they claim to have Chicago style deep dish pizza. To top it off, it was quite expensive. At the most, this is a $20 pizza for a large. Do not recommend and was quite disappointed.
