GET A SECOND OPINION.

My child was referred to SmileTown Dentistry due to cavities. She does not have a fear of dentists or anxiety related to check ups. Once the dentist examined her, they recommended that we use general anesthesia to get all the work done. My husband and I have excellent dental coverage and even with that coverage this facility wanted to charge extra money for the private clinic fees. The dentist was very good with my daughter but the person who deals with payments and scheduling was abrupt and pushy. She was annoyed with questions and treated me like I couldn’t afford the care. I ended up going to a family dentist who did the work in four separate sessions without sedation and with zero issues. Dentistry has become a money making business and it’s hard to trust facilities. Our dentist obviously gets a referral fee for recommending them.

The staff are great, from the folks at the front desk to the dental techs to our dentist. The waits are never long, and the place never seems over-booked. Kiddo has lots of fun looking at and interacting with the amazing art on the walls.

Always get a second opinion,
When I walked in, I noticed most kids getting gas and were having major dental work done, this didn’t sit right with me.
So our turn came, my 4 year old daughter was told she needs teeth pulled, and would have to be put under. I went with my gut, I got a second opinion, the second dentist said this was not necessary.
This is just a business, not an actual dentist.

Jenny was amazing as well as the doctor every time. They really take their time with the kids and make them feel comfortable and have an amazing approach especially when the littles are so uncomfortable and not the easiest to deal with. They're very kind and take their time answering all your questions.

Best experience with my 4 year old daughter so far. Everyone in the clinic including the doctor, assistant, and receptionist are friendly. They managed to turn a trickle tooth problem into a pleasant experience. Well done!

Dr. Kanani is fantastic! I've been bringing my lil guy here since he was 3.he was incredibly difficult and hard to manage, Dr. Kanani always made sure to help my son feel safe an secure. His patients and support with kids is unmatched! I drive a long way to bring my son to see him. He is now almost 8 years old and he has learned exactly how to handle the dentist with confidence. I'm so glad I found this place. It is very warm and inviting in the office it's made to help kids feel comfortable. Dr. Kanani is fantastic with both kids and parents. I highly recommend him!

Takes way too long to book an appointment for cavity filling. Got called early for cancelation. They told me the wrong date over the phone. When I later argued the date, they said I had confirmed via text and had received all fasting instructions for the filling. I had not received anything from them. They continued to blame me saying, “these things don’t just confirm themselves” They then asked us to come in 15 mins early and once we showed up finally got an appointment confirmation for 15 mins later than the original time. My kid is now 14+ hours no food or water cause there wasn’t enough time to feed her this morning

We've had nothing but fantastic experiences here for our two kids. Really great care and expertise.

This place is amazing.my son has autism and use to cry to go to dentist. Now he knows who his nurse is everytime and he is ok with seeing dentist. The front staff are the best

Beware, my daughter had a cleaning and X-ray a few months ago. I was told she had 7 cavities and was probably needing a root canal. It was either suggested that she be put under which would cost us $3000 or do 4 separate appointments with mandatory laughing gas which was $1500. We have excellent benefits so these prices seemed ridiculous to me. They also wanted to refer her to an orthodontist because of her bottom teeth but she is only 6 years old. I chose to do nothing because I didn’t trust what I was hearing so I took my daughter to another dentist to get a second option. So she only has 1 cavity, no root canal needed and it will cost $39 to do the filling after our benefits. No orthodontist until she’s around 11 years old. Trust your instincts and don’t believe everything they tell you.
