SMONECTEN (McDonald Park) Campground - Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

Very tight windy roads with low and wide hanging branches making it impossible to drive a big rig in the park without damage. Also close to highway that's coming from ferry so traffic very noisy

Great location and beautiful trees. Some sites back onto the highway so are quite noisy.

Clean and beautiful places in the forest. Unfortunately no service like showers or electricity. Very noisy from nearby highway.

Very nice campground hidden in a forest. Only pit-hole toilets, yet tidy, but it only gets you closer to the nature around:)
I only wish Parks Canada would warn you that no showers are provided at all. For the price I’ve paid, I assumed there is such facility.

Beautiful spot and well maintained but don’t underestimate how unpleasant the highway traffic is.

Très beau endroit pour les tentes ou van, problème s'est que ce n'est pas pour les roulotte ou motorisé mais quand on réserve personnes nous averti que c'est beaucoup trop petit, donc pas plaisant quand t'arrives et tu ne peux pas entrer
