Snaw Naw As Campground

It would be respectful with the customers if you updated here on maps that the Campground is closed for the winter. Some people drive from far away (like I did past weekend) to come to your gate and then find out it's closed. Meanwhile, it would take very little effort (maybe a few seconds) to update your hours on maps.

Snaw Naw campground is decent. The shower facilities are very clean but the rules are not enforced on the campground. The sites are all packed close together and because the rules aren't enforced, it can lead to an unpleasant experience. For example, campers are able to be very noisy in the early mornings or late nights during quiet time, distrupting neighbor campsites. I also noticed a family of around 15 people hording the picnic tables (taking them from surrounding sites). The family would be talking and laughing until around 1-3am. The behavior of these campers was very disrespectful but it is also the job of the campground to make sure problems like this don't arise or are long-lasting. The family also had multiple large tents, most likely takinh up more space than their designated area. If you plan to camp here, I suggest bringing your own tables and chairs and possibly some ear plugs just in case.

Sites are very close together, which was a bit hectic for the long weekend but calmed down right after.
The campsite has little bunnies running around, lots of nice trees, and the beach is very swimmable.

Arrived with a confirmed reservation for Victoria day weekend just to find out that the campground is closed for construction with no place to stay. No upfront information sent despite email in file, deposit paid was not refunded. Was informed on the surrounding campgrounds that this has happened to several campers already, all left stranded. If you hold a reservation for summer 2023, call the campground well ahead of time to make sure it is in business when you arrive!
