I’m really unsure why this place doesn’t have a higher rating - I absolutely love it. It’s inexpensive and delicious and very accommodating.

How could you not like a bagel and coffee morning?

This place is incredible! I work nearby so pop in to get lunch sometimes and pick up some frozen bagels and homemade flavours of cream cheese. Everything is great value and very authentic, especially the cream cheese and lox bagel and babkas.

It’s really dirty inside. Worker was talking on her phone, touching her phone, cleaning while making the bagels. Bagel was really dry as well. I wouldn’t come back here. Siegels is much better.

Good pastries, the apple blueberry strudel was really nice.

The cinnamon buns lack the cream cheese, and so they're overwhelmed with cinnamon. Almost too much of the spice

Small uneven parking lot.with no designated parking. Sidewalk to the store is narrow and not wheelable when a patio table and chairs are placed there preventing access to the store.

Long time fan of these cinnamon buns, when the old location on main closed I defaulted to the one by Cambie but had been the cinnamon buns have been a bit hit or miss, the one I had here put me back a decade

I asked my bagel double toasted, and it was perfect in that point. However, pastrami smelled and taste like clove which I didn’t like. Also, they didn’t ask how I want my egg, and I didn’t specified, and they served fried which I didn’t like either. I think they should give options for eggs, if you prefer different you should tell.

Solly's is usually a good place for bagels. I love sesame seed bagels and Solly's have the best tasting ones. But there's always a variety of types to choose from. I usually buy a dozen with mostly whole wheat, raisin, all grain and sesame seed. I highly recommend Solly's if you are in the mood for bagels.

The food is consistently good but I promise you no one here wants to help you. In the last 4 visits (what can I say, my mother-in-law is hooked!), the staff were abrupt, said almost nothing and they had scowls on their faces the whole time. Not the Solly's I'm used to.

While on one of their good days some of the food could be considered as OK, but even in these rare scenarios you'll be left questioning the value of your overpriced meal.

However, the main reason for the 1 star review (would be 0 if that was an option) is the actions of the owner and how they harass employees. I've seen other reviews indicating this and now having witnessed it first hand I can confirm she is a TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING and I would strongly urge consumers to take this into consideration when empowering her to treat people this way.

I always wanted to try this place, unfortunately I had a very bad experience. The woman taking the orders was direct, rude and couldn’t even look in our eyes when talking to us, and the worst was that the food was so cold, she did not even ask if I wanted to warm it up. Waste of my money

High quality and fair prices HOWEVER should be kosher certified and the default should NEVER be to mix milk and meat. There was so much I can’t eat. Please fix this.

Worker touched customer money at the cash register, turned around, and proceeded with making bagel and putting salmon and cream cheese on the bagel with DIRTY hands….

Have been here the last few times and each time they have run out of cinnamon buns: (Terribly frustrating as I’ve come at quieter times (early afternoons) but surprised they have run out by midday! The other location on W. Broadway has never had this problem: (Why don’t they just make more as the day is still early? !

I walked to sollys yesterday bought bagels, 1 kuffle, and a lemon pound cake all were good but the one tiny kuffle it tasted so hard and stale wish I took I back for a place that's been around for years ud think their stuff was good im better getting fresh kuffle at breka I will lessen my drop by here at this location one worker even threw the items at me people go to breka for fresh kuffle this one was just gross like it was sitting on display for weeks

Worst bagel I’ve ever had in my life. If you want a microwaved egg on a stale bagel, this is the place to be!

Not as good as they used to be. It was a bit disappointing really. I used to love coming here but the bagles we ordered were hard as rocks and the cinnamon buns were very cardboard like. They used to be super moist and flavourful. It saddens me when this happens.: (

The women who is always there (guessing she's the owner) is TERRIBLE, multiple times I've seen the way she yells and screams at her staff, saw her yelling at a food delivery driver. The food is great, unfortunately I can't support a business run by a person like that. I'll be making sure to let people know =)

Great food. But suggest moving outdoor tables or only having 2 due to social distancing I had someone 2inches from my head while I was trying to eat.

Service was extremely lacking. The two girls just stare at you and don’t communicate, no suggestions, no notifications that your food is ready though you’re standing right in front of them. Very awkward. I was excited to try the food as I’m Israeli but the bagel was underwhelming. I can’t believe it was $9 for something so bland.disappointing

The sandwiches are duoer plaim and boring, had no Lettuce or fixings.
Just meat anf bread and a miniscule amount of mustard.

Lousy for a hungry person.

Best place to get something when in a rush. Their service is quick, pricing is affordable, excellent character. I highly recommend this spot.

Fresh daily jewish style bagels and cinnamon buns. The cinnamon buns are big and rolled finely around the core. When warm the sweet crystals melt in your mouth. I ordered a salmon lox bagel for breakfast and it was good but, Is it possible to fall in love with a pickle? After trying the pickle that sided the salmon and lox bagel now i wonder if they sell em separately. So good.
Kind and patient service. Will come back again.

Everything at Solly’s is great except the challah. And occasionally the service is just overwhelmed and short on bagels. Really wish the challah was as good as the babka ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

First class food served in an unpretentious store. Always friendly service, nice presentation and an interesting selection.

The menu and service were beyond my expectations. I absolutely liked the ambience of this restaurant. Excellent restaurant to take my family out for dinner.

So many tasty treats to have! I love Solly's because their poppy seed bagels are blue with poppy seeds.

Sollys is a dangerous place for someone who is trying to cut out gluten. Everything I've tried (and I've tried most things) is delicious here. Staff is friendly and to the point. Simple, and yummy.

I start each day with one of their bagels. Their potato latkes are flavourful and a favourite at our house.

Staff are unfriendly, baked goods are over priced, bagel quality is meh, the interior is not clean or attractive. Skip this place

First time here. Bought two donuts to go. Advertised as fresh! Both stale. At 3$ each I was expecting fresh. Lame. Oh ya. And all three employees looked like they were ready to cry even though the place was empty. Xmas spirit? Bah humbug for this place. Can't wait to see how my 28$ bag of 12 frozen latkes taste. NOT.the worst part about this situation is that as I read the reviews from over a year ago I see that history is repeating itself and that they are still selling old inventory as new rather than putting them on a special shelf and saying day-old discounts. That would be the appropriate thing to do. I can tell you getting home and eating a stale donut is nothing short of ridiculous. And the stuff is still miserable so what does that tell you about this place.

I dine in this lovely place a lot! This is my favorite spot to eat. I go to this spot regularly. The meals are of high quality, the workers are helpful and the price is affordable. I like going in this spot over a tasty supper.

Microwaved my bland knish and low quality chocolate babka roll into a steaming mess while serving us stale eggs for our bagels. The bagels are 3/5 and the service is less than 1 but that's not the poor worker's fault, the lady who owns this chain is a slave driver who doesn't care enough. Wish we had a more vibrant and visible Jewish culture here.

Had a fantastic experience in here with my girlfriend. The food came rapidly and the service is just good. Prices are convenient.

Very well kept and convenient spot. They provide generous portions and for affordable rates. We liked the meals a lot and the waiters were very friendly and informative. Recommended.

Stopped by here on a whim and grabbed one of their breakfast "eggel's". It was fantastic - I ended up walking out with a half-dozen bagels to take home. Staff were very nice.

Not overly impressive. Bagels kinda dry and tough and the service was very slow for a bagel shop. Plus a little expensive for what you get.

Delicious bagels and scrumptious cinnomen rolls! Although usually a decent wait even if only one person in line.
