SOLO District

This building (stratus) is the grinch of all buildings in the Brentwood area. Christmas lights can only go up after a certain date and need to be removed by a certain date while all other buildings in the area can have lights up for much longer periods of time. The concierge are often unpredictable - sometimes helpful while other times annoyed you speak to them.

This is a great are with shops.
The only issue that I find is that there is not much available street parking.

I work there on Solo #4 building. Great places to eat. Wholefoods, Uncle Faiths pizza, BC liquor store. Convenient

Its a fairly new complex yet the underground parking is atrocious, as if it was an afterthought. There are great shops to shop and eat at though

There seems to be a rat problem in the shopping plaza of this complex. I saw a bunch of them scurrying out of the garbage cans as I walked by them at night. I also heard them near the base of a tree, presumably where one of their habitats are. Very gross.

Also parking now costs money? Going to avoid here from now on.

This review is for anyone considering buying or renting at Solo One- 2008 Rosser Ave. The building is nice and the neighbourhood is great but the building management and strata are TERRIBLE. They have a terrible communication system, they use only paper to communicate with tenants, if there are any issues they send you a “notice” letter and then a fine 3 months later. They are unfair and unreasonable. I have close to $1000 in ridiculous fines such as “not waiting for the parkade door to fully close”. Any other buildings including the shangri la downtown have communication systems that are fair and prompt such as email. The strata in this building makes it a terrible experience to live here. Please beware if you’re wanting to live here.

Very nice place for places to eat and some small shopping. There’s only shoppers and whole foods so not too much places to shop. Has benches and tables to sit at which is especially nice during the summer.

Great place to meet up with friends then head to the skytrain station or thé meant buses near by.

Better if you guys hire a good concierge who can help and assist people better with GOOD COMMUNICATION.

The highest buildings in town reside in this area. I come here to shop at the Whole Foods Market from time to time. I can’t say it’s anything amazing. It’s actually very sad to see the volume of tiny apartments being built here. Not my type of place.

This area has Shoppers Drug Mart, BC Liquor, Whole Foods, and restaurants. Very clean, modern, easily accessible, and great location. Fantastic little area amongst the rapidly growing Brentwood. I was able to capture the first snowfall of the year as I was stepping out of Wholefoods.

The solo district in burnaby has one of the most unsafe driving lanes. Delivery services, trucks, and customers’ vehicles park anywhere they want and parking rules are poorly enforced. It’s hazardous for both drivers and pedestrians.
