I purchased a custom high end computer. Service was fast and efficient. Johnson is very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I will not hesitate to do further business with Sonex.

I bought a system there a few years ago. I was very happy with the pricing at the time and the system performance. Even Johnsons after service years later is great. Definitely a business that I can recommend for all your computer and software needs. I should also mention that he would be great with difficult software or hardware problems.

Ordered a PC system package deal around noon, built and picked up by 5pm same day. Johnson was responsive, updated progress with pictures during the build.quite impressed. Cable management was good, tuned for stable performance, and ran through his benchmark tests.
I had a few questions and small issue afterwards-settings related. Johnson was quick to respond and provided guided solutions.
Customized PC, expert advice, cost effective, and to top it off with great customer service. Highly recommend.

This is an Intel YES! NVidia YES! AMD NO! NO! HELL NO! Store!

Anytime you requested an AMD system or an AMD graphic card, Johnson Ng will speak ill of the products similar to the words like "games cannot take advantage of 3D cache" or "just a few apps take advantage of 7950X"

This is also a store that only offer low-end spec hardware. If you want the best of the best hardware components, you come to the wrong store. Anytime you ask for higher spec hardware, Johnson Ng will say ". Is unstable.we only offer DDR4-3200 / DDR5-5600 CL36"

I am glad I went elsewhere and bought a high end system with everything that Johnson Ng said is unstable and not good. A week into using it and all's good. No instability despite stressing it to the max. I am looking forward to the 7800X3D system once I get my hands on it.

All in all, enthusiasts should look elsewhere!

In my experience, Sonex was quick and professional. Johnson had completed my Gameing PC Build within 2 days and had my computer up and running with all software & Drivers Upadated.

I would consider Sonex to be top tier and in its own weight class. Don't go to the typical name Computer Stores GO TO Sonex!

Bought a higher end system from sonex. PC works perfectly, incredibly clean build. Johnson really knows his stuff, cares about his customers, and is able to give better deals than other, larger pc shops. Would recommend buying any kind of PC from here.

Got my desktop serviced by getting liquid cooler, CPU, Motherboard, Ram replaced. We went around noon and he got it done within 2 hours. He was also very elaborative about what needs to be done after we take it home, and seemed very knowledgeable in his field. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I brought in my self-built PC (first one, so definitely not the best) because of some issues when turning it on.

They helped me turn it on and fix some cable connections. Also told me what to look out for when turning it on to make sure all compartments are receiving power.

The store is a 1 stop shop - we got everything (cpu, monitor, mouse, keyboard) from Johnson.

Upon entering the store, we felt welcome as Johnson promptly greeted us and asked us a few questions related to our use of computers. He even gave us plenty of valuable suggestions. Johnson suggested the best packages which was suitable for our needs. Unlike other stores, Sonex will not upsell, they will give you the package that you need.

We will definitely go to this store again for future purchases.

Excellent service! I had 2 custom gaming machines built and he didn't try to upsell me anything. He even recommended not getting certain upgrades as they wouldn't give much better performance for the extra cost. A genuinely nice guy, high recommendations from me!

I recently purchased a new computer from Johnston. After emailing back and forth to get the specs right he had the computer assembled and ready for pickup two days later. Great service and responsive to the questions I had. I would buy from Johnston again.

All I did was make a call and the person helping me really made building a tower easy and very informative on what parts I needed and what were the best parts for my budget. I bought a gaming PC from SonexPC. The build is very good quality. This was a system off their website but the parts are good quality. Not like the mass volume parts that HP/Dell would put their label on. Johnson did a great job on Cable management and also demo the PC at pick up. Take your time with him during this time as he will explain the PC to you. I've purchased around 10-20 computers in the past 5 years (due to my business) and I am extremely happy with the quality and service Johnson has given. I would HIGHLY recommend his services within the lower mainland. Price is comparable to many other PC builders but store front has been there for years. You can always bring your PC back to him if there are warranty issues. Good luck shopping but look no further for a PC than Sonexpc

Went with the 3080ti extreme build with a few custom changes and I have to say, its absolutely amazing. The store owner Johnson, managed to procure all parts needed and build me a rock solid stable system in just a weeks time. I even got a couple of upgraded items free of charge.

Before picking up my computer, I was shown how the system performed with pc monitoring software and had all my questions answered.

I highly recommend this store for any computer needs from gaming to professional work.

Johnson was a knowledgeable man. He was patient with all of my questions and even gave me various part options. Overall really satisfied with my first PC build (upgrading from 4GB RAM i5 5200, to 32GB RAM + Ryzen 5900x haha) and his customer service!

My old PC was giving me problems so I had Johnson build me a unit with exactly what I needed. He was very good with his advice and I could trust him right away. I had him install Windows 11 since it was the latest, however later when I was trying to load my programs I found that a very essential program QuickBooks did not recognize Windows 11 and wouldn't even register. I took it back to Johnson the next day and he spent about an hour and a half to remove Windows 11 and install Windows 10 for me. He did that very willingly and didn't even charge me for his time. Needless to say, I was very happy with his advice, his professionalism and sense of caring for his customers.

Johnson made my first experience buying a custom pc a smooth one. Called into the shop to ask for advice for a custom build, he asked details into what I would be using the computer for and suggested the best option. He spent the time explaining that with speed of chip technology there was no need to spend even more money on the fastest chip, as new ones are added to the line 2-3x a year, just need the chip appropriate to what I was using the computer for.

Paid the deposit and discussed pick up time. Computer was ready prior to the original finish time and the pick up process was easy. Demo was done at the shop and all the boxes for parts provided for warranty purposes. Would recommend to anyone looking for a custom pc.

I had been searching for a business in the Vancouver/Richmond area that offered custom built computers, specifically somewhere that was NOT one of the major big box stores as I've had major issues dealing with Bestbuy, etc. It did somewhat worry me searching for a local business, but after seeing the amount of positive reviews and experiences people had with Sonexpc, I decided to give it a go.

I'm glad stepped out and met with Johnson at Sonexpc as he was informative in helping with my new build in terms of part issues, cpu and gpu load thermals, airflow, as well as cost effective part changes within the new system. Be very specific, and double check, when you chat with him on where you need radiator placement, how you desire your OS to be setup, etc, and he will oblige on how you require your computer to be.

I was quoted roughly ~1.5-2 weeks for parts, build time, OS install, my system was ready in two days. Johnson stayed in contact during the build, sending pictures of the parts once they arrive, as well as a final picture/video of the system running as he has a pass at the motherboard settings. Upon system pickup, Johnson spent about ~20 minutes going through my build with me, making sure everything from the parts, to the OS, temps, and tests are adequate.

Due to the positive experience, I'd recommend Sonexpc if you're looking at a custom build PC, and do not want to deal with the bigbox stores.

You probably won't be able to find a better deal when it comes to building a custom pc from anywhere else. Compared to any other companies that manufacture prebuilt PCs, you will most likely be saving well over 500 CAD if you go to Johnson.

Additionally, he has a wide assortment of gpu's in stock, so chances are, you will most likely get the build you want at a reasonable price despite the gpu shortage

My 3 years old Alienware break down, I took it to BestBuy geek squad.next day they told me the motherboard and power are both broken.then I come to Sonex, The owner helped me to fix the problem in 30 mins and only 40 dollars, compare geek squad one day and 119 dollars.also I end up to buy a new computer from him. I order it around 4pm and he text me around 7pm told me that the new PC can pick up around 11am next day.really nice place to fix and buy PC

Johnson showed that he knew every aspects of PC and was clearly committed to provide the best quality PC with a very reasonable price tag. All software, drivers and bios were up to date and even the RGBs were treated to my preference. Benchmarks and power consumption were tweaked to perfection and explained to me. I built all my previous PCs but I will absolutely reach out to Johnson if I need another one. Very satisfied and 100% recommend.

As someone who has a small understanding of computers, their components, and how to build them, Johnson made the process of buying a custom built desktop a dream. At first, I was gonna order PC on some big custom built PC websites but they didn't have the parts I wanted and felt it was over priced for what it was so I didn't order.

And now, I can confidently say that I made a right decision! I was really nervous coming into the store since it was the first time to order BTO desktop. However, he was really knowledgeable and professional, answered all of the small questions that I had.

I ended up ordering mine there on Friday and told it would be ready to pick up on Tuesday. I was really happe that it doesn't even take a week because if I have had ordered online, it will definitely take over a week.

I can't thank him enough for getting mine ready to pick up so early. I'll definitely come back here if there are any problems with my PC in the future.

We purchased a PC for my teenaged son - Johnson was great in recommending various options - he did not oversell us and was able to complete the build in a timely manner. Communication was excellent and the value for what we purchased is great. I would definitely shop here again instead of going to any of the big box stores.
