I told them to take their creative license and they did both women! Nice & perfect thickness for acrylics/dip. Friendly staff!

Pros: Good service! My nails looked great and it was what I asked for. I got acrylic extensions. A little pricey, but that’s part of life.

Cons: The lady who did normal nail polish on my toes did a good job, but she cut my one toe so bad by my cuticles, it bled a lot and 4 days later is a huge scab and hurts a lot. It kind of takes the enjoyment away, when they keep working on it and it’s bleeding and stinging. My sisters got normal nail polish on their fingers and all 3 of their hands the colour faded and changed in one day.

I had my nails done by Kathy at this salon, and she's incredible! Kathy is super meticulous and takes her time to make sure your nails look perfect.
I'm always happy with the results.

I love the professionalism with which they work. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the girls are very attentive and very nice, as well as great professionals and both the manicure and pedicure are perfect. They dedicate a lot of time to it, to do an excellent job. Thank you very much. 100% recommended!

My advice to you is to not bother to make a appointment, as we did and had to wait 30 min because they tried to squeeze in someone before us. But the pedicure and esthetician were amazing.

I really enjoy visiting Sophie’s because the staff are all very welcoming and nice. I brought in a photo of what I wanted (shellac on my natural nails) and I am thrilled with the result! I will go back again for sure.
Only 4 stars because the prices are a bit high (I paid $50 for this with tip) and the space is a bit grubby.

Fantastic salon. Professional and friendly service at great prices. I love their gel manicures and the pedicure stations are awesome too.

First time going and Melissa did the nicest job on my French shellac pedi she was so sweet and detail oriented. I will be doing my pedi’s here just to see her for now on!

I got dipping powder done recently and within 3/4 days the top layer started peeling off and they were all chipping within one week. I’ve gotten dipping done in the past from other salons which lasts 4 full weeks with no chipping/peeling so I was very disappointed. I can’t speak for the other services but I wouldn’t recommend dipping from this salon.

Also when I was getting it done, there was no ‘manicure’ which I was quite disappointed with. In the past I’ve always got my cuticles soaked and trimmed but they did not bother as they said ‘they didn’t need to be done’, but they did in my opinion.

Definitely not going back. Do not waste your time and money.

I arrived for a Mani-pedi, for gel. I told them I wanted a full work done (meaning removing cuticle, exfoliating the feet and so on) but what I got instead was just removal of nail polish and they put a new one. They pushed my cuticle back - to the point of bleeding - and just stopped it there. I then was charged $75 for this service. When asked about the removing of the cuticle and the other work they just called their boss over and would say "ok ok looks good". Feeling absolutely ripped off, did a horrible job and overcharged me.

Lovely experience here this Sunday afternoon! Got an acrylic set done by Anna, exactly like I wanted and she was so friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend!

I’m super disappointed. I used to go see Holly here at the salon and today I received a last minute phone call before my appointment saying Holly was no longer with them. I was thrown off by the initial phone call therefore I called back to get more answers and all they told me was that “they think she moved on”. I’m very skeptical because Holly was one of the best nail artists there at the salon. I consider her a friend of mine and never had the chance to grab her number therefore I asked for it today to talk with her and they refused to let me contact her. If anyone knows what happened to Holly, please let me know because I will gladly go to whatever nail salon she’s at now. She’s such a sweet lady. I’m so upset.

The ladies here are so nice and they did an exceptional job on my hands and feet. Also, not a bad price range for the area!

I would give it zero stars IF I could. I had booked an appointment for my first pedicure. When I walked in, one of the staff working while attending a client didn't even greet me. Instead just raised her voice to put on a mask. I did & when I walked up closer to ask her a few questions, one of the older ladies that the staff was working on started barking at me to properly put on my mask which I adjusted it slid a bit down my nose. Then the staff started giving me a lecture. They were VERY rude. I can't remember ever having this kind of treatment. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. So I walked out & went to Fingertips Design Studio ~ 10 minute walk on Davie from them. HUGE difference in customer service. They were super friendly, answered all my questions. Night & Day. Terrible rude staff here. Save your money & go elsewhere. Seriously!

I have been going to this salon for years, I realized how much I missed them when they were shut down due to COVID-19. When they reopened with excellent cleaning and protection protocols I was relieved and delighted. They really get to know you and what your preferences are. So happy they are close by and still in business. They are the best nail salon in the West End as far as I am concerned.

The best and only place to get nails done in Vancouver. The most consistent work at a great price. Love the ladies who work there- so professional and kind.

My wife has been a loyal Sophie's customer for over three years. They are exceptionally accommodating. Their shop is very clean and the staff is very detail oriented. Both manicures and pedicures have been consistently beyond her expectations. They are always very busy but they will do their best to accommodate each and every customer. My wife takes great pleasure in recommending them to any one that want their hands and feet to be an expression of their personallity and great taste.

I went in for a pedicure today and asked for a bit more peeling on my heels and soles. The woman helping me got visibly upset. She complied with my request but started digging her fingernails into my feet. Then she took a sharp instrument and stabbed the edge of the nail on my big toe repeatedly although I yelped and told her to stop.it was too late and there was quite a bit of blood coming out. When I later showed my bloody toe to the other staff, they simply took $3 off my bill but no one apologized. Although I have cleaned the wound and put antiseptic on it, my toe is purple, swollen and infection is setting in. My conclusion is that it is downright dangerous to ask for anything more than the basic service they are offering.

I have been going to this salon for a few years now, and I am a bit ashamed that it has taken me this long to write a review. I LOVE this place! All the ladies are great, and they do such a fantastic job it’s unreal! If I could give 10 stars I would! I am always boasting about this place! I get acrylic nails done every 3 weeks, and I get compliments on them all the time. They look like my own natural nails. I cannot give this place a higher recommendation! If you have never been here, by all means GO! You will it be disappointed. I love you ladies! Thanks for always taking care of me!

Sophie’s nails is from now on the only nail salon I will go to! They are wonderful. Always do a great job. Fair prices as well.

Few points:
They technically close at 7 but i get off from work at 6 so I can't really come in earlier than 6: 30 but they still booked me for 7pm. A 5 star for that.
I was thinking to get new full set of acrylic and the girl suggested to just do refill because I had an old set on my fingers to begin with. I like how she suggests something that is cheaper and she's not all about sales. So I said yes but the actual girl who did mine thinks that my old acrylic is already coming off so she said she'll give me a new set but still only charge me half of the extra. Stars again!
The spa space is small tho and chairs are too close to each other.when I was getting pedi and my fingers at same time, the girl who was doing my nails couldn't properly move around, but, they all seem so happy still and they don't mind as long as customers are happy. They all really focused on their work. The place space would be a 4 Star.
However, the most important part is the final look of my nails on both hands and my feet and they look amazing! Id give more than 5 Star!
Last thing that id like to say.so since my appointment was late, the girl who did my nails stayed longer and she was the only one left in the end yet she was taking her time making my nails look as best as she could make it! And the outcome is beautiful! I'm definitely coming back and I definitely recommend this place!
