The cutest, coziest, and sweetest soup and sandwich spot! I dropped in to grab some lunch for my boyfriend, and the couple who runs the shop were extremely kind. Since it was my first time there, they graciously recommended which soup and sandwich to try. I decided to go with the Louisiana sandwich and the Mexican bean soup, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious! I almost stole it from my boyfriend!

Absolutely amazing. They don't take credit cards but who cares when the soup and sandwiches are so good they seem to defy the laws of physics. Ran by a lovely older couple they don't tolerate bad behaviour that would bother other guests - someone started watching a video on their phone with the volume up loud and they politely but firmly put a stop to that right away. These are clearly pillars of the community, they know the regulars, treat children like family, and customers will even bring them gifts at Christmas. I recently moved into the neighborhood and discovering this gem made it finally start to feel like home. We'll be back every opportunity we can, just be warned there can be a line out the door during rush periods - understandably so!

Came in late in the day. Only had lentil bacon and veggie soup left. I went with the lentil bacon. It was super flavourful. But it is tad on the salty side and I eat on the salty side. Really yummy. Also ordered bagel with butter and hot chocolate. They were pretty good. Recommend!

Soup's tasty, but a bit salty. Sandwiches are spot-on, especially the fluffy, fragrant bread. Chill vibe in the store, and the owners are super welcoming. It's definitely worth a visit!

I strongly recommend the mushroom soup, but really every soup and sandwich here smells amazing and tastes even better. Bring cash or a debit card and enjoy!

Not only is the sandwiches amazing with the fresh baked bread, the experience of sitting down with the owner is too. If it's not busy and he sees that you want to talk, he might come sit with you and chat. I learned about the significance of beer in Europe and laughed at his jokes. Fantastic.

Everyone raved about the home made mushroom soup but they were very salty for my family's taste. I ended up adding the same amount of hot water before drinking them. If you need to watch your sodium intake I would avoid it. Not worth the hype.

Saw this place driving by a few times and decided to check it out today and was I in for a treat! This “hidden” gem definitely hit the spot with their soup and freshly baked bread. The bread was so tasty and the couple there were so friendly, it’s like visiting nonna’s for a nice home cooked meal. Definitely worth trying if you’re craving something simple and delightful.

Great little place, the folks who run it are lovely, and the food is so good. The in-house bread makes all the difference. Love to come for lunch when I'm in the area.

We had Mushroom soup and Louisiana foot long sandwich. Great service with friendly smiles comes with the food. Cozy and warm feeling atmosphere.

His chicken parmesan sandwich is the best, the mushroom soup is amazing, and the service if you go 1 time there and talk for 5 minutes he will never forget you, excellent service and the food is amazing.

The place is called “soup plus”. What do you expect with this name? Soup, a variety of them. They have only two flavours: tomato and mushroom. Please, change the name if your main purpose is not related to the name!

Wonderful sandwich shop with an enthusiastic owner of 25 years.

With the decor dating back to mid century 1900s, it’s a fun place to pick up a classic BLT club sandwich.

The freshly made bread, home style feel, generous ingredients, and kind banter from the owner add to the whole experience.

Super close to my work by far one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Skip the subway and come here. Lovely couple & fast service! Will definitely be trying the soup next time….

This place is like a refuge for us. Simple and cozy.
My favourite and probably most people who come in here is the mushroom soup. Add a club stack or the LPB.

I get the clubhouse at this place and it is a delicious, large sandwich that fills you up. The guy running the place is really nice and is always happy to chat with you. Great place, definitely recommend checking it out!

Best sandwiches I ever had. The mushroom soup is bomb! The old couple working here have a lot of character as well. I see all the one stars people leave because they don't appreciate the jokes the couple makes for the experience. Come here if you are hungry and have a strong stomach. There's a subway across the street for weak sauce babies. Cash and debit only. So bring your money.

A true diamond in the rough, one of the best soup and sandwich for 100 miles. It will be a sad day when this place closes, get it while you can. Owners are lovely people.

This place is absolutely wonderful. At 29 weeks pregnant all I wanted for lunch was a soup and a sandwich. I came across this place and decided to try it out, boy am I glad I did.

I am pretty sure they have been here for a very long time, it is tun by a very sweet elderly couple. I ordered a veggie and cheese sandwich and the homemade veggie soup. First the soup is definitely homemade and tastes like what your Grandma makes at home with love. The sandwich is made with homemade brown bread and is gigantic. I highly highly recommend this place and will be going back soon.

I keep coming back here over and over. They have the BEST homemade bread EVER. The best poor boy and tuna melts ever.

The sandwiches have a nostalgic, homemade style which highlights the quality of the ingredients. I ate the veggie sub and was pleased that it was fresh, yet hearty. The bread and apple cake were both fresh and flavourful. This restaurant has a clear vision of the style of food they want to sell and they execute that vision very well.

Recently visited here for the first time - I had their Lentil and Bacon soup, along with their BLT with cheese. The soup was delicious - hot, flavourful, and filling. The sandwich was almost as good - the bread tasted so fresh, and the ingredients were top notch in their quality.

This is a small location, and parking is fairly limited, but you can find some spots in nearby residential streets. Furthermore, you have the option to take out. The people who run this place are lovely, as well. All in all, a terrific soup and sandwich place that offers great food at a reasonable price - what's not to like?

After my friend ash’s recommendation i decided to drive out to the store and let me tell you it was worth every penny! Sandwiches are super tasty i tried the Louisiana poor boy and the chicken Parmesan and their mushroom soup and i cannot recommend enough

Cozy cafe in Coquitlam. They bake their own bread, and have some of the best soups and sandwiches in town.

This place is awesome! It's a one man operation (nicest guy ever) with the best soups and sandwiches I've ever had. Just try the mushroom or Mexican bean soup, that's all I have to say.

I just try their tomato ham soup and mushroom soup. The soups were very good. Good customer service (the owners are a very friendly couple), food prices also very good. Next time I will come to try their sandwich, Higher recommend. My friends!

This is the type of place where you don't need to be glued to your phone when your sandwich is being made because the owner will entertain you quite well during the process. Sure he did take longer then most places but you can tell he puts the utmost care in what he does. I ordered the Louisiana Poor Boy sandwich and it was packed with flavour and quite filling. I would come here often if it wasn't so out of the way for me.

I called today to check their soup menu… the lady that answer said “when you can come I will show you all of them “and hung up on me extremely rudeeee unbelievable

The sandwich was very good I must say, but the thing that ruined it for me was when the older man and his wife who own the establishment started yelling at each other and when she tried to apologize to me for his behaviour he told her to “shut up I’ll do what I want” the entire time I felt extremely uncomfortable as he was belittling her. At one point once he went in the back she looked at me as I was paying and told me “he always does this, he is verbally abusive” I was literally stunned and didn’t know what to say. I will never support this business again, no matter how good the food is.

Very unpleasant. I went to buy fried chicken beside it, and the smell was really good, so I went into it to buy something they recommend. But I really regret of going into it, cause it ruined my lunch and my mood and my friend’s.the first unpleasant thing is they only accept debit card or cash, which I didn’t take. No Apple Pay and no credit card, so I had to go back to take my debit card to pay for it, which made me to go there twice for one lunch.but the second one came that I bought one tuna melt and one veggie melt, but they wrote wrongly on the two boxes, which lead to me ate the veggie one while tuna was for me. So for my friend who is a vegetarian, he had nothing for lunch. And I called them suggesting that they should make another veggie for me for free because they wrote wrongly on the boxes, and I can take back the tuna melt as it is, which shows that we didn’t eat it. But they say that, when I ate the tuna one I should find there is no tuna immediately, and switch immediately, and they can make another veggie but I have to pay for it, Well, yes, I didn’t tasted the tuna since the first bite, but I didn’t recognize that they wrote wrong for the two boxes, I just thought maybe there is little tuna, which didn’t taste or smell strong, so I didn’t think too much, and finished it. After I already finished it, my friend came to me with the tuna melt in the veggie box……this is the first time I come and will definitely be the last time. Not recommend. The photos are the tuna melt inside the veggie box.

The sandwiches were delicious! We got the Louisiana Poor Boy and the Teriyaki chicken. The owners were very nice and helped us pick a soup as we were so indecisive. I’m not usually a fan of tomato soup but the tomato and ham was great. Will be back again to try more of their soups!

Extremely disappointed. My husband went to buy us lunch, but we'd never been before and there's no website with a menu. I had to stay home to watch our 1 year old, and given COVID we figure it would be best if only one of us went in. My husband took a picture of the menu so I could see it, and the workers got mad at him. Never coming back again. How extremely rude and narrow minded.

I've been going here for many years.it's a husband, wife organization.they are sweet and 100% have your best in mind via food and service.just because you know the Karen exists in all of us sometimes.you are probably going to go down that road if they throw you off w/ their approach but rest assured it comes from a good place.perhaps like your parents were.

This place is incredible, even if there are lines stretching around the corner they never fail to make a great sandwich and make you smile. One of my favourite places I love the tuna melt and the chicken park is superb, and you can never go wrong with the poor boy.

You know those hidden little hole-in-the-wall places that secretly serve the best food in the world? THIS is that place. Just soup and sandwiches, you say? No. Tiny place made tinier by covid, opera blasting, Italian mom and dad behind the counter as friendly as can be, and pure awesomeness in every bite. This is my new go-to.

Went there for the first time today — absolutely loved it — was regretting why I did not ordered a larger soup. The friendly pat at the back from the guy while asking how the food was and his sense of humour is definitely taking me back to the place along with the great soup and sandwich combo!

By far the best sandwiches and soups in lower mainland. You truly taste the experience and love in every meticulously assembled sandwich. I just try something different every time because I know I can’t loose. The Mushroom soup will melt your soul, and the couple who run it just may as well.

So I read the reviews and decided to see how they really were. The food was good, soups were fresh and the good thing about this place is that its all fresh and home made, even the bread.but the sense of humor is what made me go back more:) If you do not have a sense of humor do not go there. The lady is super sweet and nice. Caring and a great hostess. The gentleman, seems rude but he is just being funny in his own way. I liked them and enjoyed a few laughs with them on my lunch break.definitely recommended:)

Omg. I can't say enough good about this place. The soup and sandwiches are incredible! I highly recommend it to everyone, you won't be disappointed. The older fellow working there. I assume the owner.is so incredibly friendly, funny and honest. Having a conversation with him while he made our food was probably the highlight of this place.
