Southern Flavours

We’ve eaten in and done take out. Always exceptionally delicious with so many spices and depth of flavour. Tonight there was one fellow doing it all - server and chef - managing meals to go and dine in patrons expertly! We had paneer dosa, beef pepper curry, vegetable biriyani and masala chai tea. The chutneys, chilis and raitha complimented each dish. So yummy that we finished it before I remembered to take a photo!

Phenomenal food with unique and delicious flavours.

My partner and I ate here on a Friday night. Even though they were slammed with an out of town catering event, the service was amazing. I think we were helped by the owner. Either way, the gentleman was very kind and clearly dedicated.

Can't reccomend this restaurant enough.

It's a nice restaurant that serves Kerala and Tamilnadu-styled south indian delicacies. Fresh and spicy. Food is reasonably priced too.

Guys, please sort out your phone message. Twice I have tried to come to lunch with my wife. The first time you were closed and the Google listing of your opening hours was plainly wrong. The second time (this week) I got smart and called first and got a phone message saying you were open but just too busy to answer the phone. Drove over. Closed again. Please at least straighten out your opening hours on your phone message and maybe I can try again some time.

Update: I appreciate the prompt response to the initial "review". I am very sympathetic - it must be extremely difficult running a restaurant in the current environment. Assuming you are able to still open on a limited basis, perhaps you would like to state your modified hours here so supportive customers can do their best to come support you?

We frequently visit this restaurant and always had a good time. Our favorite dishes include Kavalam Meen Curry, very yummy fish curry dish. Channa Bhatura and vada. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxing and nice as well.

My order was completed exactly when they said it would be and the quality was evident. A bit too spicy for me but even I can tell that the cooking is more skilled than most places, as the layers of flavour come through and blew my mind. I enjoyed it, feel-good healthy food.

This is a late review. I remembered now as I plan on visiting Victoria again. The food was yum yummy tasty, good food takes time to prepare I don't mind waiting the few minutes. The Chef was kind humble & friendly. Worth every penny. I will definitely go again

All dishes are very tasty and well prepared. My favourites are Kavalam fish curry, Beef dry roast and Chicken biriyani. Very good customer service and the chef is friendly. I highly recommend this place.

The chicken Biriyani was absolutley delious, I have also tried the Kavalam fish curry and that was Yummy and still feels the taste. Thank you for Introducing new Indian foods to Victoria.

Wow, simply superb, I tried chicken biriyani and coffee with family today.wow, I like the taste and the ambience and the service.we definitely love to visit the place whenever we come to Victoria.

I ordered Masala dosa and lamb biryani, the food is very fresh and delicious. The food packing was real good, I like the crispness of dosa and Sambar taste like homemade. I’ll definitely go back for dosa. Staff is very friendly.

FYI, I know what is southindian food and what is not. Please focus on taste of the food instead of educating people.

Friendly staff, I picked up an item I had purchased off of Wish.com, the restaurant was extremely warm in there in the middle of summer

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY! They (not the delivery service- who were wonderful) kept pushing the time back on my order until I had been waiting and hour and forty-five minutes for lunch on a Saturday. The delivery service checked in with them after I reached out and they lied saying they needed only 10 minutes more. 30 minutes later it still wasn't ready for pick up. (So. 2 hours total?) It was a small order, only 4 items, and they were not busy. I know I am not the only one in my neighborhood to be screwed on delivery orders from this place. So if you are looking forward to dine in Indian food - find another restaurant, there are lots of excellent ones out there that care about your business.

EDIT: Since I cannot respond to the owners reply below I will add that the times they give do not match the actual times. The first request was for 50 minutes. Then at the 40 minute mark was a request for another 40 minutes. That is when I called Tutti. They checked in with you and you said you needed 10 minutes and I was told the driver was there already waiting. After 45 more minutes I just cancelled the order with Tutti, who claimed that you said it was still not ready anyway.

The food was good. Maybe even very good. 4.5-ish? I'm just going to leave it at that.
Our take-out order, however was *significantly* delayed - and it was just three dishes. We were told it would take "half an hour.because of the grilled chicken. " This was at 5: 05p. There were customers at one table, and one couple waiting for take-out. Very quiet.
We ended up waiting over an hour. If they'd said, "That will be one hour. " that would have been one thing - unbelievable, but at least the facts - but it's hard for me to order from a restaurant that needs more than an hour to prepare a simple order.
Very similar experience to a 1* review below - but not possible to blame our experience on the delivery company.
If you wanna go out for a really long dinner though, this may be your place! ‍️

As we entered we noticed floor was empty we were the only customers in at 6 pm.
Kerala original southern Indian cuisine. We ordered fish & lamb curry dishes. Turned out pretty tasty. Asked for medium hot. For locals it will be too spicy but we could handle the heat.

I loved their food, service and the location. I say its a must visit place for vada and dosa.
I am not a fan of their briyani but their fish gravy had attracted us.

Wow! Yum! I still get the yummy taste of the Bhatura and curry in my mouth. Quite a few times my family had dined from your restaurant and it was always the good food and your service impelled us to come back another time. Awesome job

Awesome restaurant with delicious, authentic south Indian delights (some northern dishes as well) and friendly, professional service. The whole place is super clean. I am so lucky to live within walking distance!?

I would highly recommend this place. A must try spot for all the foodies. The ambiance and the friendly staffs adds to the best food experience in the locality. Authentic South Indian flavors just as the name says! Kavalam and Kottayam fish curries are a must try. Enjoy for dinning experience just like we did. Wonderful authentic family-owned place. The dosas and chai and everything i’ve tried is good.
