Spa Utopia Health and Wellness Center

I had a lovely experience. There was a lack of communication during my previous visit, which was promptly rectified.

The sauna and steam room are great. I sure wish the pool was available.

The staff are very accommodating and competent. The spa is very clean and posh. Great escape from the city.

Oh how we have missed this great pampering and excellent massages. Special shout out to Beverly, for making sure we are so well looked after. It was a great way to enjoy my 75th birthday.

I received a RMT massage by Eugene. We discussed before the session started on focus areas and I very explicitly told him I do not want to have my neck area massaged. I even physically showed him which areas I’m not comfortable with. At the start, I felt he got too close to my neck area and I asked him to focus lower on my shoulders. Then he went to stretch my neck by twisting my head to the opposite side, without giving me a chance to reject it. On one side, it had caused pain and I immediately asked him to stop. After the service, I asked him if there was any concern to the pain I felt and he responded that well I felt the pain, so I’m not dead. WOW, I’ve never been talked to in this way in such a vulnerable state at that. I had also requested for work on my lower back, to which he didn’t focus on at all. I’ve had regular RMTs for the last 10 years and safe to say, this was the worst experience.

Less importantly, just as I was about to get on the table for my massage, I found someone else’s fake eyelash on my head cradle. I went outside and found my partner’s RMT who was extremely apologetic of it. However my RMT Eugene didn’t even apologize for this and carried on like nothing happened.

I sat in their lounge extremely uncomfortable and couldn’t even enjoy the rest of the spa day (which I was there for my birthday). I finally mustered the courage to speak to the manager who tried to make it right by not charging me for the service and she was very pleasant and understanding through listening to my situation.

All in all, I wouldn’t step foot back in here. Aside from the poor RMT experience, the price point is far too high for what you get out of it. The place is looking very outdated and there’s no spa etiquette upheld so it’s nearly impossible to relax. Also, I question just how clean and hygienic this place is. One of the washrooms in the women’s change room has pink scum all around the toilet bowl, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks.

Ruby was great, wonderful personality and for my first pedicure I was very pleased. Kazumi gave me an exceptional massage. I have a cervical issue going on and she relaxed me so much I was put into that in between sleep and wake for most of it. The spa itself was great, the decor, the drinks and the staff made this a wonderful experience

I used to love this spa at pan pacific centre. But they went downhill very quickly. Before pandemic, you could use the hotels rooftop pool and jacuzzi. They used to offer a nice selection of complementary snacks, and you could also get a glass of wine after your treatment. In their bathroom, they used to have all sorts of free toiletries, hair tools, hair ties, lotion, etc. But guess what? They stopped doing all of that! And of course they have increased their prices significantly LOL i would go to this spa because of the “luxury hotel spa” experiment but for what they offer/dont offer right now - its absolutely not worth it. Needless to say that their 50 min massages include a long 5-10 min introduction & another 5-10 min of preparing you to get you out the door. With their prices, they have the audacity to ask for tip & if you dont tip, you get frowned upon & asked why. Save your money and go to a regular rmt or if you want the luxury hotel experiment, go to another spa that offers actual top services.

Had a 50 minute massage with Richard which was absolutely amazing. After that I booked a 60 minute facial with another person there. The facial was the worst I’ve ever had and the cost was $220 plus tax which would have been ok if the facial was great.
Unfortunately It wasn’t even good. I was frustrated the entire treatment. The technique was terrible. The facial massage was done all the wrong directions and no pressure points were addressed, extractions were a total of 3 minutes even tho I asked for detailed extractions (my request was ignored, she said nothing to reply to me when I asked). The arm, shoulder and hand massage was a light application of oil and that’s it. She started diagnosing my indents from the massage as rosacea, I have flawless porcelain skin.
All I could smell and feel is “rubber” gloves. I’ve had facials regularly for 25 + years and this one was the only one I absolutely hated.
I haven’t visited this location for 2 years, I used to come regularly. This is the first time I saw the showers being dirty, there was dirt all over the entry way. I was the first client of the day. When you are a spa that charges premium prices for treatments they cannot be subpar, nor should your showers be dirty. I did mention this to the front staff but nothing was done for me and I did not have time to sit and wait for the manager, as I had to leave.
Thankfully at least I had a very amazing massage there. This will be my last time using spa utopia which used to be my favourite spa in Vancouver for the last decade. Unfortunately.

This was my first time at the Pan Pacific location, and my experience there was superb. Like the North Vancouver location, the decor is cozy and welcoming offering refreshments and snacks pre and post treatment. I booked a facial with Cecilia and was amazed by her 32+ years of experience. The facial was amazing and designed for my skin. My skin felt hydrated and glowy after the treatment, I will definitely be back. Thank you!

The spa ambiance is very peaceful. My massage therapist was very professional and attentive. The whole experience was wonderful

Great ambiance, pleasant atmosphere with clean facilities. The front-end staff are very friendly and helpful. The RMT I was assigned is very skilled and professional as one would expect. The spa experience is nice as when you check in; you will be given a quick tour of the facilities if this is the first time. You’ll be given a key to your locker in the change room which contains a robe; the slippers and towels are off in another cabinet. There is a steam room and a sauna in each of the change rooms that are well maintained. The lounge has comfortable seating though it can be busy at time. It’s great that in this area there is coffee, tea, juice, nuts and dried fruit for you to enjoy and relax. I would highly recommend you arrive early before your appointment and/or leave later to enjoy these amenities. Overall, it’s a great experience to enjoy solo, with your partner or with friends and take a break from regular life.

Great place to go for Spa. You can come an hour early or stay after your massage to enjoy some snack, drinks, and their amenities (steam room and sauna). Worth the price you pay. Place is clean.

Love going here. The team is always very hospitable and massage therapists are skilled at what they do. The space is always clean and well-kept. I absolutely love their specialty tea. Not sure if they do the complimentary makeup touch-up after a spa service. Worth asking! Also, don’t forget buying a gift card from Costco for 20% off.
Some downsides. The Pan Pacific pool and hot tub is now available for a few and for a limited time, whereas it used to be free. Also, parking is terrible expensive in the area. If you can, park outside of the convention strip and walk. But be careful of those parkades! I’ve come back after hours the spa to find that my trunk had been completely emptied of my shopping bags.

Used to be amazing when they allowed guests to use pool and hot tub also. That's a huge reason why my coworkers (nurses) and I would come. I would tell everyone about this place. Their excuse is that there isn't enough staff to "watch guests at the pool" but there was literally never a single staff member watching anyone when I had been there. Also the steam room and sauna were unbearably hot and really couldn't spend much time in there. Place is super expensive and so is parking. They also dont do wine anymore just nonalcoholic mimosas and tea. Nothing exceptional to return downtown for, many other great spas with RMT.

It is always a pleasure to visit Spa Utopia. Their range of services and products is amazing, and their customer service is fantastic.

Been coming to this spa for years. Just had the best massage of my life with Mark. I was in a lot of pain before the massage and he eased it considerably.

I came to Spa Utopia for the first time since 2018 and couldn't help but feel disappointed. The cost of RMT in 2018 was $145 and now it's $199 ($196 + $3 "enviro fee") during the week and $219 + ($216 + $3 "enviro fee") on weekends. Friday counts as a weekend.

When I came in 2018, they offered champagne after your massage, there was plenty of cold lemon water and cucumber water available in the change area, toiletries to use in the change area, and you could access the pool. Now, you don't get any of those things. I'm not sure how they can justify charging around $100 more than a clinic for tea, a sauna, and steam room. The steam room wasn't enjoyable as it was insanely hot in there. I couldn't even touch the inside door handle with a bare hand.

My disappointment isn't a reflection of the massage I received though. Miguel is fantastic. I would see him again if the extra cost for the "spa experience" wasn't so inflated.

Received a gift card to Spa Utopia in downtown from my boss and oh my! What a nice treat. The place is absolutely gorgeous! The staff was incredibly polite and professional. (Special shoutout to the manager who made sure to show me around and explain every little thing to me) The signature tea was a special touch to this whole experience. Ashley was my massage therapist and she was beyond amazing. Will 100% come back. If you are looking for a 10/10 experience - spa utopia is the place.

My mom and I went today for an anti-aging facial, it was the first time coming here. We had Cecilia and Ruby for our facials. My mom loved her facial and the treatment she received. I have not been for a facial for a long time. The ambience was relaxing and I almost fell asleep during the treatment. Before my treatment I used the steam room for 10 minutes, then took a cool shower, give yourself some time before your appointment. I didn't use the sauna this time around, will do that next time.
It is a bit expensive but well worth it.
I love the location right on the waterfront of downtown Vancouver. Will come back for sure.

I had the most awful experience at this spa. When I complained to the front staff they didn’t seem to care and didn’t even really listen to what my complaint was. They didn’t offer anything to make it right. I left feeling so awful and the more I thought about it the more I was upset because of the way my complaint was handled. I sent an email to the spa to address my concerns over a week ago and no-one has responded. My service was with a male rmt and I asked him before the massage to not touch my legs. He touched them several times. The massage was also just terrible. I have seen several rmt’s before and usually have a wonderful experience. This guys movements were so quick and it stressed me out. He also didn’t even touch any of the areas where I was sore. I’d recommend going to the north van location as they are much more professional there.

Utopia is at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Had a wonderful facial by a really good aesthetician. Highly recommended.

The ultimate place for pampering and relaxation. We went early to take advantage of the steam room in the change room. Next was resting in the lounge as we waited for our first treatment. From there was a massage tailored to our needs. After a return to the lounge we were picked up and taken for facials. For me this is the moment when all the stress fades away. We finished our experience sipping chilled white wine as we had our pedicures. The ultimate in a well-earned decadent day!

My first time at Spa Utopia Health and Wellness Center, and I had a great masseur. It was honestly one of the best massages I've ever had, and not to mention the customer service was impeccable. I like very firm/deep tissue pressure to the point where I'll tear up. I wish I could give over five stars. I will certainly be back soon!

My girlfriend and I both came away revitalized by the experience. Great care was taken to ensure guests were comfortable both before and after their sessions and the atmosphere was deeply rejuvenating. I’ll be coming back soon:)

This was my first time at Utopia although I have enjoyed spa treatments in other cities such as Bangkok and Saigon. From the moment we entered the spa, the service was impeccable. Zana (spelling?) provided an incredibly relaxing wrap and facial and has me hooked!

This place is fantastic! I came here with my roommate, who had a facial. The staff is so friendly. They greet you with a smile and give a hot welcome. I definitely will be coming back. I had a fantastic time here!

I take my away facial with them the day after I ran a half marathon, and it was amazing! The facial and shoulder massage made all the pain from the run go away. I will go back!

This place is excellent, and the staff is extremely well experienced and friendly. I ended up getting a 1-hour deep massage while my girlfriend got a full blow-dry, and we loved it. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone in Vancouver. Not only are their services phenomenal, but their prices are unbeatable for the quality of products and service they provide.

They are amazing! My shoulders, back, & legs were in so much pain before my visit. Afterwards, I felt like I was walking around the world in a hot bath, completely relaxed and pain-free. They massage style is very thoughtful, present, and purposeful. I highly recommend them. The place is also beautiful & clean. The whole experience is definitely worth your $$&.

Just had a great first experience at Spa Utopia at Canada Place. My RMT appointment with Eugene was excellent. One of the best massages that I have in a long time.

Extremely clean and inviting. They did my massage, and it was the best massage I've ever ever had. I've been to so many spies was so many different masseuses, and literally, this was the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend it. Their work is excellent!

The place is nice, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The massage Spa Utopia was very in-tune with what was going on with my body. Probably the best massage I have ever had. It was such a wonderful experience that I scheduled it for another one from a month out. That is something I have never done. Thank you.

This place was a lifesaver. I just moved over and was too sore from many exercises and the move. I needed to relax and a good massage. They got me in right away!
And ever since my first visit, I never regret choosing them in the first place.

Booked my wife for the Urban Facial. She was offered a complimentary steam before her appointment and loved it. She came out after her facial and steam looking 5 years younger and as if stress and anxiety she had been suffering from was lifted off her shoulders. We will definitely be back, maybe I’ll book an appointment next go around.

Very odd covid arrangements, doesn’t feel like a spa and booked a male RMT when I specifically asked a female. If you want a more organized spa go to the fairmont

What an outstanding community! This is a full-service fitness center, providing group fitness, massage therapy, and regular special events like burlesque classes. The staff is incredibly welcoming, no matter what your experience level is. Just got my first massage here today, and my back hasn't felt this good in ages!
