Spahats Creek Falls

Beautiful waterfall to see. Reachable from the parking lot with a simple short walk. In sunny weather the colors of the surroundings will certainly stand out even more beautifully.

The falls was WAY bigger than I expected from pictures the canyon and cliffs were incredible. Super easy walk to the viewpoint also

I absolutely love this set of falls. This is the first set of falls you can get to when entering the park and it's the ones that captured our hearts and made us come back for more. Even if you only have a small amount of time this is very much worth the short drive off the highway.

Beautiful spot. It's possible to hike down to the base of the falls if you're feeling adventurous. Requires proper hiking shoes/boots. Walking sticks and spikes not necessary, but would be very helpful, as the trail is pretty steep grade on loose dirt.

Approximately 200m beyond the viewing platform, there is a clearing on your left, which leads to an unofficial, but easy to follow trail. Not for the faint of heart.

Estimated 2 km round-trip to the base of the falls, with an elevation change of about 300m or so. Took about 1.5 hours of hiking time round-trip.

Otherwise, an easy few minute walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint. Washrooms and food stand at trailhead.

One of a number of impressive waterfalls in the region. It can be reached quickly from the street.

This is a really beautiful place. It was a very short walk to the viewing area. I loved looking at the rock layers on the sides of the waterfalls. Super neat to see the layers of lava flow stacked on top of each other, and to be able to look back in time at each layer.

Beautifull waterfall in Wells Gray. There is a snackbar in the parkinglot that serves the best fries in Canada! The waffles were also very good. No need to pack lunch when you go to Wells Gray

4th time ive been to spahatt and just as beautiful and incredible everytime! Hope to see it in the winter next time!

If you left your reading glasses, we found them still in good repair on the road. We left them at the entrance sign see photos. July 1st 2023

Not much to see but as part of a tour, it gives you access to a little snack bar and washrooms.

Not quite as high as Helmcken Falls, but definitely worth a short detour. Parking is right next to it. Otherwise there are also a few trails.

PS: ne laissez pas trainer la nourriture longtemps dehors, vous êtes au pays des ours

When traveling to see any of the falls definitely pick your timing. We went in the evening, and it was perfect!

Proche du parking et à l'entrée du parc, c'est une très belle introduction aux magnifiques chutes présentes à Wells Gray. Le paysage vaut aussi le coup d'oeil, la vue est incroyable!

Si vous allez dans le parc pour voir les Chutes de Helmcken. Passez par celle ci avant. Elle est peu être moins haute mais les falaises autour font qu'elle est tout aussi impressionnante.
