Spanish Banks Beach Park

Lovely park for an autumn walk. Endless views of the north shore mountains and the commercial vessels in the outer harbour. There is parking but not a lot.

Very beautiful Sandy beach with view of North shire mountains and downtown Vancouver. This is a long beach with Bach volleyball and others sand beach sports activities. A nice place to watch cargo container ships and cruise ships as they pull into Vancouver ports.

STUNNING. A great place to take a deep breath and say a prayer of gratitude. That's what I did today.

Govt should not put restrictions on beaches so visitors to Vancouver may enjoy sunrise and sunsets.

I got the chance to see the sunrise here, collected some shells, got scared by some wild dogs lol, but thoroughly enjoyed the calm beautiful beach with very cold water of the early morning. It was beautiful.

Way at the end of the pat frome downtown Van hi could do it every day but hi go to some place around that area have a smoke and little break and hi go back to Vancouver. Cool read.

Dusty but great lots of people one group was really loud and left more garbage behind then you would believe. Other then that a great time.

Long, beautiful, sandy beaches stretching for miles. A quick pick up game of volleyball or simply laying in the Sun.

Vancouver is blessed to be a city surrounded by water and mountains and the best weather in Canada. With an extensive network of walking trails in and around Vancouver’s waters, the trails along False Creek from downtown to UBC passing through Spanish Banks Beach Park provide an amazing view of Vancouver, and the North Shore. The Park has green space for gathering and BBQs and the like and fine sand beach on the water. During low tide, the water goes out quite away and is a great experience for kids to run around in the flats and collect small crabs and shells. There is a washroom facility and kiosk with beachside fare for sale. There is ample parking right at the beach and it is a stones throw to UBC. Great family space in all seasons!

Cheap entertainment for the kids and not too crowded (at least when we went). Best time to go is when the tide is out. Tip: the tide is going out when the cargo ships are pointed towards Lionsgate bridge.

Lots of free parking and beach space for the family. Bring umbrella with you as there are not too many trees and benches. Can walk out quite a bit when it is low tide.

This is the HOT SPOT to be anyday of the week. WOW! Talk about fun food and fellowship. From volleyball to church water baptisms and animals having bbqs.and I don't just mean dogs.

As always.wonderful. As it was a week-day it was easy to park. Available washrooms and open concession stands. A gem of Vancouver!

One of the best beaches in Vancouver. Plenty of parking, food and activities. Both shallow and deep water

Still one of my favorite beaches. Rarely ever rowdy, it is nevertheless very friendly. People are polite and considerate. Lots of parking on weekdays; weekends, not so much.

On one of the extremely warm evenings my friend and i decided to go visit. We knew the parking was going to be horrible so we apologized for our bad behavior before we got there lol. Someone was leaving as we pulled up so we lucked out. We walked over to the water found a spot and had this wonderful couple of strangers that we left all our valuables with haha. Its a large sandbar so you can walk out in waste deep water quite aways. You soon forget how hot and cranky you were. Life carries on. Great time

Beautiful place to be in. A lot of people with dogs might be annoying but you can climb to admiral trail and see one of the best views of North Van from there

Perfect spot for hanging out with friends, BBQ and volleyball, frisbee, or just chilling and enjoying looking at where sea and the city and the forest and the mountain and everything meet!

Who brings DOGS this beach?
This is a place where NO Dogs are allowed! Do dog owners already see the signs but just decide to ignore them or just don't care about the rules and only care about thier dogs?

I like sitting there in the car there and it is very nice when the sunset is there. I like looking at the sunset. Almost the best thing ever.

Yes! You can see northern light here if the sky is clear, no cloud, & moon below horizon or very little moonlight.

Paved walkway by the beach with benches. Free parking! With food stand in summer and outdoor shower. Will go again in the summer. Hopefully parking is still free by then.

Love how close you are to city and yet u feel like it's getaway! Low tides expose long walks of sandy beach to explore and a fabulous vantage point to photograph the city and view fireworks.

Always love coming here with our dog and always can find parking. Not over crowded, a gem of Vancouver

I have many great many memories of spanish banks park.it's a great family spot.great for a mellow walk on a date.dogs and people interact in one of the most beautiful spots on earth.i was in hawaii one time, walked into a "nature store" selling life size silverback dolls, dvds of nature sights.i look up at a screen playing orcas and mountains, i thought, how beautiful, the camera panned right.theres west van.shot from spanish banks.we're lucky that it's so close, so comfy, and free.

This is going to be one of my most loved locations anywhere. This is a wonderful place to bring the family or even a date. The parking here is free and in the summer there are concessions in a few places down the beach. There are restrooms as well down the beach but at your own discretion but at least there is a restroom.

Love this beach. A lot quieter than Kits or English Bay which allows for a more family friendly environment. Great place to bbq as well.

Nice sandy beach and there a walk way that goes for miles along the coastline remind me of were I am from

Great park for a walk along the beach. Lots of families were enjoying barbeque picnics at the picnic areas. Lots of washrooms. Saw a harbour seal while walking along the shore. Many beach volleyball nets available.

If u are looking for a place to hang out and watch a beautiful sunset.this is the best place for you

Huge sandy beach, views, swimming (sometimes) reasonable amount of free parking (most of the time). Giant driftwood logs to sit on or use as a backrest.

Best place for Beach Volleyball in summer time. Lots of poles for volleyball net.the sand is clean and warm. It is amazing to have an amazing view of downtown Vancouver while playing volleyball.

Great place for a picnic and to people watch. There is a big gravel path for walking and following the path west takes you all the way to Kitsilano Beach + more and walking east takes you to UBC. Great place to ride your bike too. The sunsets here are amazing and there is ample free parking everywhere.
Sometimes, lots are closed off for movie sets.

It was great.low tide, swam in ocean, lots of marine life on ocean floor while tide was out, and rode the tide back to shore.good times

Go here when the tide is out and experience a fabulous part of Vancouver by walking out for over a kilometer on a sandy beach.

Nice Beach pretty busy don't swim in the ocean unless you want to get e-coli they have a concession stand in public washrooms
