Spearhead Plumbing and Heating Ltd.

This company overcharges to the extreme, I paid about double I would have from other companies in Whistler and felt taken advantage of. In addition to way higher than average rates, they added lots of surprise charges (not small charges - significant ones) and also surprise you with way higher-than-quoted costs for parts. The entire experience with this company was negative from start to finish. I won't be using them again and recommend people use other companies that are more honest and fair.

Take your business elsewhere. I was charged $350 for 10 minutes of their time without even using any parts for the job. I’m absolutely blown away at how you can possibly justify charging that much to adjust the temperature on a thermostat (which didn’t fix the issue)

As a follow up to the response by the owner. Never once was it discussed that the tank worked, it has never worked without tripping the breaker. And still does not work. He did not wait 20 mins to get in and spend 30 inside and we didn’t have “friends” tell us wrong information we hired another company. We have also not had friends write bad reviews? No idea where that information came from and is laughable and unprofessional that he would write that in our responses to try and make it seem like those other reviews are not from other unsatisfied customers.

Great plumbers! Was the only whistler plumbing company that was responsive and able to come to our site quickly to prevent any impact on our incoming guests. The service person (Keegan?) was fantastic found the leak right away, fixed it quickly, and even showed my hubby how to handle that particular issue himself next time. Also really appreciated the very responsive reception, Maddy, who helped organize someone quickly. Thanks again!

I sadly would not recommend this company. The customer service representative on the phone was very helpful at setting up the appointment when I discussed the importance of the information needed. The technician arrived on time and completed the work. However, he did not call to discuss the work as promised. I was then charged via their pre-authorisation system without any report or communication, as well as a more costly invoice than expected (from quotation). I called multiple times on the following days as I urgently required the findings of the call out. I was unable to reach the technician and was told by the admin staff that he would call me. Their poor communication has been very costly for me, and is upsetting, especially when I explained from the start the importance and sensitivity of the situation.

Best plumbing company in the area, very professional and they provide a quality service, highly recommend

I'm all for fair pricing especially since whistler is very expensive to operate in, but feel ripped off, it was very expensive, and since the issue isn't resolved, it wasnt worth it even if i ignore the charge. Won't be using them again. Alta is a better option.

Todd Perkins was the furnace maestro who installed our new furnace in Whistler. Got the job done perfectly and on time, despite a number of modifications in our crawl space that had to be done to get it to fit. Kept us up speed all the way and explained the progress very clearly. Great job. Thanks Todd!

We had a gas leak in our house that presented itself as a leak from a gas fireplace line. However some smart diagnostics and debugging ultimately led to finding the leak in an unrelated line. Todd capped off that line, reconnected the fireplace line and fixed an intermittent thermopile problem in another fireplace. All done quickly, competently and professionally! I am really pleased with my service from Spearhead Plumbing and Heating. My faucet had been pulled out and it was not an easy fix. The service technician, Quentin, arrived on time, was knowledgeable, experienced and had a kind demeanor. After figuring out the problem, it was an even tougher fix as it was installed incorrectly the first time with the wrong screws which made the job even harder. Quentin was able to fix it and he called me to communicate when the job was complete. I will definitely call Spearhead again in a few months for my hot water tank. As a single, female homeowner, I felt very comfortable with the job being completed correctly. Thanks Quentin, much appreciated!

I had a terrible leak in the kitchen sink of my rental cabin. I called Spearhead and they were able to quickly send a technician. Q arrived and took a look and quickly assessed the issue. I didn’t know where the shutoff was and Q climbed under my cabin into my dirty, dingy crawl space as I was told that that’s where the shutoff was located. After a few minutes he came out and found it inside my cabin. He worked tirelessly to get it all fixed and was such a pleasant, friendly and personable guy. I would highly recommend this company and in particular this technician! Thanks Q!

Todd was obviously very experienced with gas boilers and heating systems. He had our boiler (hot water heating system) problem diagnosed quickly and was able to repair this in the same day. Very happy with his professionalism and seasoned journeymen experience.

Highest marks for Quinton (Q) of Spearhead plumbing. Total can do attitude. We had a nasty job for him on a Saturday morning no less. He figured out what was wrong and found a solution.and got it done. Save our weekend. He had to deal w a grumpy neighbour as well and handled that very professionally. Couldn't be more pleased with the service. Thank you Quinton! PS - Zara in the office was also extremely pleasant and helpful.

In the past few weeks I had to contact Spearhead Plumbing not only for a pipe/water back up issue with one of our company site locations, but also for a gas problem that made all of our gas appliances in another location stop working. With both calls that I made, the representative that I spoke to was helpful, polite, and sent someone out to us the same day quickly. It's really hard to find good contractors that care up here in Whistler, and we were super lucky that they were able to provide us with plumbing and gas assistance the same day for two different locations. With both issues the technicians that were sent out fixed our issues right away. I also had to call back to work out accounting details and everyone that works here is so friendly and awesome to work with. If you ever need to contact a plumber or have an issue with your gas system these folks can help you out.

Quentin Craddock expertly and professionally diagnosed and repaired an outside pipe in well below freezing temperatures. He also recommended other work to be done to prevent future ice buildup from reoccurring. After many hours of being exposed to the cold temperatures, he remained friendly and accommodating. Quentin from Spearhead was great. They came at very short notice to replace our dishwasher. Quentin was in and out in an hour and left the place looking better than when he arrived.
