Sorry, the food was good but a little cooler than I wanted. The people I was with loved the Prime dinner, and the Yorkie were a hit and miss. Overall, it was ok.

Not to mention the prices are still very decent. I will be back!

We always enjoy speeds, consistent yummy food! Queenie is the best server! She goes above and beyond!

First time with new owners and manger we went for brunch. We ordered the west ham and totally loved it. Our server was Sanvi she was amazing. Nice atmosphere good food excellent service. Will be back

New ownerships and management for this Ladner heritage pub. Casual atmosphere and daily specials make this Pub a local favorite!

A great local spot with warm atmosphere and wonderful patrons and staff. The perfect place to meet old friends and make new ones! Recommended!

Food is amazing. I recommend the Fish Tacos with a cold Molson Canadian. Hang out on the patio. It is so cool.

I have heard great things about this pub so I thought I’d check it out. Unfortunately it was not what I expected. It seemed I had the head server or manager taking my table who I found not only short & rude with myself and my guests, I noticed she was also rude to the other employees. The food was basic, nothing to write home about. I heard from another bar that they had a group of servers & kitchen staff quit because of how poorly it was run, which is quite unfortunate because it’s got a great old pub feel for the locals with a beautiful scenery with being on the river.
I won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone. I wonder why it’s for sale? !

Place is the perfect blast from the past almost like going to grandma and grandpa’s for dinner. If you’re looking for a restaurant where you can just relax and be you instead of putting on that “dinner” persona, this is your spot. You absolutely get your moneys worth here, the plates are actually filled unlike some restaurants where you pay and get half a plate. Waitress recommended their house burger (speeds) and it was hot fresh and juicy, nice crispy fries to follow. If you’re expecting a menu which requires a phd this is not your spot, however if you want a hearty home cooked meal this is most definitely your spot. While your at it grab a cold one and enjoy the great view.

Went for a the first time and ordered the 2 piece cod and chips which was the special today, 50 minutes later I asked if it would be much longer and was told they had run out, it was frozen and would be another 10 minutes. Not impressed with service, wont be going back.

Great neighborhood pub with good food served by friendly staff at a reasonable price! All round comfortable place with a warm view of the water.

Speeds is the ultimate boomer bar. As a vegetarian I have trouble eating here, but there are some options. If you want to grab a beer and wax weird about your sciatica this is the place to be.

Speeds mega boomer pub. If you have a bad back this is probably the first place you want to visit, you'll get more sympathy here than anywhere else. It's just beer, and some basic food. If you want anything more special than that go to the riverhouse.

Wrote below years ago. The pub is still good, but outdated. Miss Sparos, who passed a couple of years back. Now the place just doesn't seem the same. The special stuff he would do from time to time, is no longer. The food is average, similar menu, but nothing inspiring.

Good pub food. Gets very busy at times and waits can be long.

Ok wrote above when Spiros (Speeds) was going thru hard times with keeping cooks and staff because Tawassan Mills just opened and everyone was going there.

Things settle down. Now Spiros (82 something) has a great staff and everything is back to normal. Thus, moved to 5 Star.
