Amazing service, huge selection. What i like is that you can touch all their display diamond rings to see if it fits you. I went in looking like I just rolled around in a garbage heap (smell not included) and i was treated just like any other customer. As they say, dont judge a book by its cover and they got a huge sale out of me, paid in full! Photos to be added later.

When my husband bought the ring everything was fine. 3 years after, the diamond pop
Up for my ring and I lost it. This cannot be happens for a jewelry that you use everyday. Poorly made and plus when I called the store, they just said that can’t do nothing. I am extremely upset because was my fiancé bought for me when we got engage and they didn’t care at all about it.

There are many reviews on here for both locations collectively, with strong feedback on the dislike of the radio ads. It does not seem to have an impact.the ad 'type' keeps recurring with new ads, the 'scream', and the long dialogue between Callum and whomever. Staff falsely advertise their terms and conditions resulting in us missing our 30-day return allowance. Not to mention how inaccurate their return policy actually is. Recommend getting your legal contract team to search and correctly define "purchase date" and "deposit date" as these are two separate things.

I drop off my ring on Sunday to get it repair, and checked out for the yearly inspection, and I get a call from Calgary, saying my ring is gonna be $84 to repair, which fine I need it to get fixed, but that didn’t sit well with me since I live in Vancouver, so I called the Vancouver location, and they said no one called from us in Vancouver, why would they call you from there? I’m like I honestly don’t know you are working for the company not me.and the finally email me back today saying the associate who helped me on Sunday sent it to the wrong store… and that’s the email I get? Like my fiancé spent so much money on this engagement ring, and it’s my most favorite thing in the world, Ans there was no im sorry for the inconvenience, etc.how would anyone feel getting an email saying your engagement ring was sent off to the wrong store? And I already emailed them back saying I’m not happy, etc and they have the audacity to call me again to get me to CONFRIM im going to pay for the $84.
At tbis point I’m just so disappointed and have have no faith in this brand. I’ve been recommending my friends to come get their rings from here, but I’m taking it all back, And not referring anyone to this place. After I pick up my ring when it’s ready. I never want to step foot inside the store again. Absolutely disgusted.

I went into Spence not necessary looking to buy, but only looking for information on having a ring made.
I was help by Rose C. She was so helpful and fantastic to deal with. I ended up buying a beautiful diamond from her.
I had research price before and knew the deal she got me was great. She even tried to help me save money
by suggesting using my existing ring for the diamond. It was a very thoughtful suggestion.
The ring turned out outstanding. I have already had so many compliments on it.
The manager was also great on helping and keep me in the loop on the processes, while waiting.
It was a Great experience! I’ll be back

My fiance and I recently came into Spence Diamonds at the Burrard location looking for an engagement ring. We met David and he made the experience of looking for a ring enjoyable, amazing and fun. I've bought 3 rings in this location and spent approx 5-6 grand on those. And right after one year a itchy rash appeared right under the ring. I've never had any allergies, so I thought that it might be the soap or something like that. But it wasn't. Apparently, it was reaction to nickel, which is included in the alloy of the ring to make it cheaper. And same thing happened with my wife's ring. Once I complained, they told me to go test myself for allergies and then they can remove nickel from my ring for only 50% of the ring cost.
I'd recommend avoiding this store, if you want to buy quality product and avoid ring rash.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience here. We met with Fernando and he was so wonderful and attentive. He showed us everything he thought we would like and even went through the differences in diamond clarity, color and cut. We ended up finding exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for that perfect engagement ring.

Recently came into Spence looking for a solution for my diamond stud earrings. I met with their sales rep Mercedes and she was an absolute dream! She found me a diamond halo 'jackets' which is an add on piece for my stud earrings and saved me thousands compared to others in the area that wanted to disassemble and re-make my earrings from scratch! All together I only spent around $550 where as other places wanted $1500-2500. Totally love my new earrings and highly recommend Mercedes for your appointment! She's extremely knowledgeable about diamonds and Spence's products and will 100% give you the best solution for your budget! Will be returning for another purchase soon.

They reduce the cost of production by using cheap metals in jewelry (for example, nickel which is forbidden to use for jewelry in European countries). Don't buy from this company if you chase good quality products. Be prepared that you will have a bad painful reaction on your skin after some time of wearing Spence Diamonds products and the company wouldn't care about it. 0/5

I was drawn in by Spence’s custom made one of a kind sales pitch. The ring set we chose was perfect and Spence delivered on their promise. The reason for the one star is what happened after. We returned over ten years later to have the ring made again and was to be soldered together with the original wedding band and the engagement ring to for a cluster ring (tradition). We were told when we bought the set this would not be a problem as the rings are made to spec. When we went to Spence recently we were told they no longer make that set. We should go to the Gold Room in Surrey as they could do it and Spence couldn’t and would most likely be cheaper. Not what I wanted to hear from Spence after we had spent so much money to begin with. Not going to lie.the whole experience put a damper on getting the new ring made so we have chosen not to go forward with it.

Update.

I did contact customer support and received no answer although I didn't really expect to. It does lead to another question.why did someone not connected to customer support answer the review or not take the time to forward it on?

I want to congratulate Sandra Beltran that works in Burrard Location, she was amazing, long story short, my husband gave me a pair of earrings for Christmas, unfortunately I lose one of the earring so I send an email to the store to see if they can made my one earring to a pendant, but surprise for me, when Sandra answer me back that I can get the same earring and buy it (just one), that was so amazing for me, because I will be able to use my husband present again! Thank you Sandra for all your work!

Also, the day I went to pick up my earring all the staff was amazing with me, by the way I was not planning to buy anything, (but unfortunately, you know how we are, LOL), I just ask for a ring that I have on mind and suddenly Mercedes was showing me the rings, by the way thank you for your patience. Of course I get a ring (because of my finger size they have make it). But thanks to Mercedes and her patience, I buy a ring, that I was not planning to do and I'm not regretting at all!

Spence Diamonds exceptional staff and incredible products are truly second to none! Timothy David went to great lengths in helping me decide what to do with my original engagement ring and wedding band. Those who know me, know the sentimental value that these rings will carry in my heart for a lifetime. However, my struggle with skin irritations to jewellery made it nearly impossible to keep wearing my rings on a daily basis. In following up from an informative discussion with Timothy in regards to Spence Diamonds loyalty and satisfaction commitment; I made the decision to have a platinum setting made. I was so enthralled with the hope of being able to wear the platinum setting day in and day out, which Timothy personally walked me through creating step by step, that I thought in that moment they had me as a customer for life. Yet, Timothy somehow managed to go above and beyond once more. Exceeding any expectation with his very own special touch upon pick up, my husband and I were left utterly speechless! (In the best of ways)

We had an amazing time at Spence picking out an engagement ring. From start to finish, Alyssa was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable and put us at ease, and had a variety of ring and diamond options for our constantly changing preferences. She took us through a mini diamond education process and let us look at the diamonds under microscope ourselves, which was a lot of fun to do. She was also very patient with us as we also made several trips to the store to make sure we were happy with our final choice, including having the diamond shipped back from Alberta for us to have a final look. She worked closely with me to make sure the ring was ready in time for my proposal timeline. Overall everything went perfectly and we are very satisfied with our experience and would definitely recommend this store to others!

Went in to Spence with my boyfriend recently looking for an engagement ring. The sales rep we were assigned to was very pushy and made uncomfortable small talk with us to try to “connect. ” He left us alone for 5 minutes to browse around and then asked which rings we liked, which isn’t nearly enough time. We left because we felt uncomfortable with all of the interruptions and felt a lot of pressure to commit quickly. The rings were not that impressive. Glad we didn’t check our coats with the front desk so that we could high tail it out of there. Won’t be going back.

The big selling feature was the Spence warranties and guarantees.

The lack of integrity provided by Spence Diamonds has been appalling. I want to note, I have spoken to the Vancouver Store Manager, however she either could not comprehend how drastically the store failed, or did not care. Either way, there was always an excuse how it wasn't her fault. When I first met her I was so relieved, I believed 100% she would take care of me. I have called the store atleast 3-4 times and she is never "in the store" this includes her "regular work hours" though she brags about getting to work in a mega snow storm.

I have (7) examples of how Spence Diamonds failed to provide any level of customer service. Ranging from the Langley Sales Manager is using company database to grow her wedding planning business, Vancouver Store takes nearly twice a long to order upgraded diamonds as advertised. To my upgraded ring having smaller marquise diamonds than I initially purchased, and the upgraded ring was the wrong size. Essentially, since giving Spence Diamonds thousands of dollars, they have had the ring longer than myself and I still do not have what I purchased.

Spence Diamonds has offered a $200.00 credit as an apology. I honestly don't even care about the credit, I am a busy person who doesn't have months (it's been nearly 3 months) to deal with constant mistakes and excuses. If you are looking to make a big and special purchase, do not go to Spence Diamonds. It has taken over 5 store visits to get where I am, and I have smaller marquise diamonds that initially purchased and a ring that doesn't fit. I am so exhausted with Spence Diamonds, I have tried so hard to be polite and share with them how this experience has made me feel, and they respond with $200.00 credit. At this point in my life, I don't care about the money.treat me like a person, show me respect and compassion and I will be a customer for life.

Alyssa had been extremely helpful in our decision and purchase of our beautiful engagement ring. She had been accommodating to my numerous requests, and even helped order in multiple diamonds for comparison before making the final choice. She was able to address the number of particulars that I had concerns about, despite me being out of province. I bought an engagement ring here, I paid extra for 18k gold in the band. They used a diluted gold and the band began to bubble after one month. One month! I returned the ring and asked for my money back, Spence asked that I sign an NDA and not to tell anyone about this situation. I refused, now I tell everyone I meet NEVER BUY JEWELRY FROM SPENCE! They turned one of the happiest moments of my life in to a nightmare!

I had a great first experience coming to Spence Diamonds. My now Fiancé has been working alongside Emma S.to find the perfect ring to propose to me. We had to go there afterwards to get the ring properly sized, upon arriving there, Emma introduced herself to me with a hug and expressed how excited she was to finally meet me.
She has a very down to earth, caring attitude which makes you feel very comfortable when it’s your first time coming into the world of marriage.
After getting the ring sized, I felt as though I didn’t go small enough, we returned a week later to discuss this, and once again Emma came to the rescue. She gave me several ways that I can make the ring tighter without having to part with the ring quite yet to get it properly sized again.
I couldn’t recommend a better person! The ring is everything I could have pictured, as well as knowing she is by our side through it all.

Bought a couple wedding bands, but they broke right beside the embedded diamond.
Spence was not owning up to their design flaw, advising of the expired warranty.
I attended another jeweller, showed the rings, and he advised that the rings were cut too deeply into to embed the diamond. Once I mentioned the shop name”Spence” he said: “Of course, no surprise”. When I mentioned the refusal of warranty, he said: “ I know, the old men was good, but the young boys running the show now-they don’t know business. ”

While the ladies I have dealt with over the past year have been professional and friendly, I would absolutely not recommend or give Spence Diamonds any of my future business.
My engagement ring was purchased in Feb 2018 and we've had nothing but problems since it was picked up, going on 14 months now. Ring setting was incorrect when it was picked up initially and it's been returned to the store 3 other times in the last year as the white gold was yellowing. I was told i have higher than average acidity, which I would be willing to accept, however i have never had an allergy or reaction to any other piece of jewelry i have ever owned! When I refused to accept that my skin acidity is the cause, they find something else to blame. Humidity was on the list of possible reasons and a long list of chemicals. I have never taken better care of any other piece of jewelry than this ring. I do not wear it in the shower, when i clean, sleep, pool/hot tub. I even take it off when i have to count cash at work! I asked them to tell me what alloys they mix with the gold and they will not. Their solution was to recast the ring in platinum for an additional $700 which i refused. After negotiating them down to $380, i reluctantly accepted the deal. They have now had my ring for 5 weeks and I called to follow up last week and was told the ring was sent to store in Vancouver but was sent back to the shop as the band was not satisfactory to the manger i have been dealing with. I just couldn't believe yet another quality issue. Curious if they were ever going to call and tell me. Craftsmanship and communication is not at all what I expect after spending almost $8,000 on a ring.
I received a thank you card in the mail from a restaurant we recently dined at. NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The Vancouver Spence was gorgeous upon walking in, I was greeted by their friendly staff whom offered me a water upon arrival. Alyssa assisted me with choosing a birthday gift. She was persoanable & knowledgeable. Through conversation she discovered that my engagement ring was also from Spence. My husband and I were hitting a milestone anniversary, we discussed options for trading up my diamond. This was a policy I was not aware of and was excited to learn more. We were able to look at diamonds together and find a perfect match that fit our budget and fit my exsisting setting perfectly! I am so so so impressed by the level of knowledge and service. We recently purchased a diamond ring from Spence to mark our 50th wedding anniversary and the entire process was an absolute pleasure, thanks to Kimberly Chin assisting us. After visiting many jewelry stores we knew we had come to the right place when we entered Spence. We appreciated there was no pressure, no rush and once we selected the perfect ring with Kim's help we were impressed with how she guided us through the process of selecting the actual diamonds for my ring and the detailed knowledge she passed on to us about diamonds.and the settings, so we knew exactly what we were buying and what we were paying for. We walked out of Spence feeling great about our purchase. Picking up my ring two weeks later was as exciting, with such a warm reception and congratulations from Kim, my ring is spectacular and so so special. Thank you Kim, thank you Spence!

When you first start looking at all the information regarding diamonds; you’ll invariably be inundated with a tidal wave of information. Do I choose color over size, type of cut versus the sparkle it gives, whether it has florescence or not? The list goes on as do the choices and selection but with finite resources as most of us have you have to work within your limits.
Here is where Kim came in.
Kim was amazing helping me through the entire process of designing an engagement ring! Ever patient through my various iterations in ring design, selections, changes, questions, and finally decisions; Kim was readily available to discuss my ideas and also in explaining the different options. She was never pushy but always made me feel that I had her full attention and support in whatever choice I ended up making. Over the course of the entire selection, design, and finally receiving the finished product, I was truly confident that I had chosen the right person to help with designing the ring I would inevitable use to propose to my now fiancée.
If you’re looking for someone to help you with finding or making that one ring for your big question, Kim’s definitely the one to go to (she’s at the Spence on Burrard).

Recently went with boyfriend to Spence. We were greeted in a slow fashion asking how they could help and we stated that we wanted to look and try on engagement rings. We were assigned Mercedes. Our bags were checked and coats offered to be checked we decided to keep our coats. She was very knowledgeable. We were confused and uncomfortable because of the constant to reminders of floor models not being real as well hovering of our assigned staff member pushing information at us while trying to look. I personally felt that our intentions of looking were not considered as individuals and were sized in the office were a memorized power point was poured out, yes knowledgeable, but awkward. It would have been great to offer the clients (us) an opportunity to come back in to view it rather than rushing through the presentation when I wasn't ready for it and continued to express it was up to my boyfriend as well that I was fatigued. I expressed health conditions and sensitivity training for invisible illnesses would be an asset for Spence diamonds. The tone I set was NOT picked up on by Mercedes and the unprofessional anecdotes of the sales person's personal life came off as a desperate grasp for a sales client connection. Not every couple is the same and as a person whom has worked sales there are other ways to connect besides a generic topic like "the weather" asking ideas about wedding vision might be a good idea or how long the couple has been together. She did ask how we met and then the connection for sale client ended. My partner and I were authentic and clear with what we were asking. Leaving feeling disrespected and uncomfortable from the Vancouver location. We will be looking into the Langley one as well as other businesses to pursue our future purchases. There are many positive options Spence offers which includes a warranty etc as well as knowledgeable staff about the product etc.

Quite awhile ago (years) I attended the Spence Diamond store to buy with my husband our wedding rings. While the shopping experience was to our satisfaction, the lasting quality of their product was not. Although my husband only wore his wedding ring on the weekend (due Mo-Fr work days), it still cracked about 3-4 years later (right at the diamond mounting. Since Spence only offered a two year warranty, they will not repair this ring under a warranty claim. Although I believe the design flaw (too thin cut out of material where the diamond is mounted) contributed to the crack of the ring. I went in to select a wedding band and Jovita was incredibly helpful. She took her time and led me through the extensive selection and helped educate me on all the things to take into consideration. Will definitely be back in the future.

I got my ring from Spence about 7 months ago and have had nothing but positive experiences with the store. The quality of my ring and customer service has been top notch.

I love that you can walk around and try on anything that you like and customize things to your own taste. The ability to wander and try rings on really takes the buying pressure off, which makes it easier to find something you love. I also really liked that I could make a change to my ring afterwards when I wasn't 100% sure about it (I changed a piece from white gold to rose gold and now it's perfect).

Jovita was kind, energetic, informative and easy to work with, and the girls at the front are always welcoming when I stop in for a cleaning.

Thanks for making ring shopping so fun, I can't wait to come back to pick out our wedding bands!
