Sperle's Dry Clean

Saddens me to write this review. Have been coming here for 4 years, there used to be a different man running it - he was lovely - seems new people are the ones always there and it hasn’t been the same. I brought in an item to have altered and the people were extremely argumentative, rude, laughing and raising voices when I explained it wasn’t what I asked for as there was a big line from the stitching going across the chest, rendering the item unwearable. Instead of a solution for the miscommunication they handled it this way. Will not be returning/recommending.

I did ask if they would consider a refund in order to take it elsewhere, to which they denied in laughter. A few people noticed asked if I was ok, not impressed with how I was spoken to.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don't believe in giving bad reviews, I just prefer to not give one at all. This time is different.

I took in a very beautiful and expensive wool tailored womens blazer for dry cleaning. When I took it home from them and put it on, the upper back, front of the chest and shoulders were stretched out at least a size, maybe 2 sizes bigger. Worst of all, the cute gatherings on the shoulders that gave this blazer its style.all steamed or ironed or whatever they did, they're gone. Huh? How did they even do that?

When I went back to have them explain what happened, absolute rudeness and no ownership of what happened at all. He told me that it was absolutely impossible that this could've happened. That's all he said over and over again but that doesn't make it true. Ok, so then how did a perfectly fitting lovely wool blazer, after it left their hands turn out like this?

Obviously it was them. I was very upset and asked for my dry cleaning bill to be refunded. He did that at the very least. What else could I do but just let it go? This happened a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't going to bother with a review but Google sent me a message that one of my other reviews (a good one) got 10,000 views and asked me to review some other places that I hadn't said anything about. So here it is.

I've been using Sperle's for years. They clean using such care with all my delicate items and their tailoring services are the best & reasonable. I highly recommend this business.

Had a suit jacket dry cleaned, and a pair of jeans hemmed. Customer service was top notch, price was excellent, and he did a great job on the clothing! I’ll definitely be back.
