Spice Hut Indian Cuisine.

Food was good, a little bit milder than expected for medium (lots of senior clients) but they will gladly adjust the spice level if you specify you want "Indian" medium. Naan can also be made crispier or softer depending on what you prefer. Very accommodating.

Kudos to the girl who hosted us on 26th November 2023 around 5 pm. The service was top most and the food was one of the best we had on island. We tried different items and they all were fresh, well cooked and balanced spice level. I really appreciate the great work and the ambience provided without much loud music.

After exploring British Columbia extensively, we found ourselves a bit let down by the Indian cuisine. However, our expectations were pleasantly surpassed when we dined at Spice Hut in Port Alberni. This restaurant serves the most authentic Indian food in North America, with incredible aromatic spices that truly enhance the dining experience. Additionally, the quality of the meat exceeded our expectations, and the Tandoori Chicken was absolutely delicious!

We enjoyed it very much. The portions were plentiful, friendly service and the chef came to us himself to recommend a bedside table.

Absolutely amazing. Now I don’t have to leave Port Alberni or travel to India. I highly recommend the beef biriyani (I get it hot). It tastes like the real deal with tender melt in your mouth beef. Absolute heaven!

Ordered takeout on their opening day. The food was amazing, I can’t wait to try all the different dishes. Staff was super friendly as well.

The online menu was very limited, so that was disappointing. The food tasted great but the portions were pretty small so I was glad I made emergency rice. I'd order again but probably not delivery as the menu selection was very limited.

Delicious! I had the butter chicken with Naan and rice. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy.

I tried this place last night and I'm so glad I did! The food was really good. We got butter chicken, daal, coconut curry shrimp and naan bread and rice. It was all really good. The service was also awesome, our server was very nice and the food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Definitely will be back soon.

Port Alberni location. I am only rating on their website online delivery. This is the second time I have gone through online ordering process for 3 people, go through the whole process expecting the food to be delivered only to get an email that the order was cancelled. 2nd time now, No explanation, so you have to call the store & then they tell you they have no one to deliver. If this is so, then don’t let people go through the online ordering, just say you have no delivery today.

Delicious! The only recommendation is to serve basmati rice with the lamb korma. Otherwise, full of flavour and very tender.

I’ve been here twice since they’ve been open. I got the tandoori fish tikka the first time around. Ended up ordering it a second time because it’s so delicious.
Amazing food full of flavour, nice severs, relaxing atmosphere. I love the fact they are open late, we don’t have many dinner restaurants in town. Good job.

A co-worker suggested The Spice Hut. I am SO glad I tried it. I had the Butter Chicken with a side of rice. Both the Butter Chicken and Rice were SO full of flavour. Will DEFINITELY go back again.

My first time ordering from this location and I got take-out, I got Chicken Masala with side of rice and Naan bread.

The Masala was so tasty and the Naan bread was made fresh in house!
Highly recommend this location, I can't wait to go back very soon to try more dishes!
