Spice of Nepal Restaurant

I recently visited spice of Nepal. I absolutely loved the food. We ordered momos and chicken tikka masala with butter nan! Sonia was serving us. She was very professional in her work. Overall we had an amazing time there. Must visit.:)

Good food and good vibes. Sonia was our server and she made sure we had everything we need.

The lady Aliza was really friendly and kind. She was always here to serve us. Amazing food always hits the spot. I am a regular here recommend the momos, chicken chowmein and chilli chicken.

I got served by Anant today. She was very polite and we really enjoyed our meal.
I will surely visit again.

We ordered momos here and they are uncooked and when we ask to change it for us they will give us the same plate and said this is the rest of food which are still uncooked. The staff is very rude and not taking our complaint and gets arrogant. Seriously very poor customer service. We don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone ever.

First time here, ordered Fish Pakora and was I in for a surprise. Fish was fresh and tender and juicy. 2 sauces included a standard green sauce i have had before and a red sauce. This red sauce was very new to me was thicker and spicy and the flavour cant be described it must be a Nepal speciality it was very good. The fish had light to almost no coating covered in a yellow what seemed like ground split peas with spices. Simply amazing and cant wait to be back recommended to all

I have been there a few days ago. There was a girl named Aliza.she served us.she was super nice and her customer service was exceptional.this is one of my favourite restaurants, although their service is ok but for the first time in there it was amazing because of her. All thanks to Aliza.

We had dinner yesterday, ”Anant“served us and she is such a best server. She went above and beyond to help us choose the perfect food. ” No doubt it was busy day but they tried to serve us fast enough.all the good things I want to say about this place fall short it is my favorite place the food is delicious and the service is great especially from the girl Anant, she is so professional in her work and really the service she offers you is wonderful if you go to this place you should ask for her to have a better experience. Great experience

I would rate 1 star but their JHOWL momo was really good. Hence 1 extra star for that.

Apart from that, everything was horrible, during 1 hour we saw few housefly and fruit fly in the table, table was not cleaned well and sticky.

We also ordered Gurkha platter, which was horrible, and tasted as it it was cooked the day before.

I order spice chilli momos first time.they make very small nd taste less. Very bad experience with them also not good customer service i wait wait more than half hour.never go again nd never order spice of Nepal.

Could have given zero stars. They didn't give the whole order and won't deliver at home. They didn't address properly. Just fought.

Ordered takeout on a friday. Was told order would be ready in 45 minutes. Turned up - order was never put in. Server says she'll put it in now. No apology or anything. Acted like they were entitled to my business. Also they increased their prices and only notice is a sign at the cashier. No notice on website or phone. Very bad experience.

Hi everyone, this restaurant deserves 1 star just for the taste and rest 0. Reason firstly the costumer comes to enjoy the food but here the staff has zero presence rather than apologizing at there mistakes they argue a lot which is zero costumer satisfaction delivery towards us. Secondly being in restaurant business you need to make costumer not destroy as i come in this restaurant many of times in week 2 times. But yesterday was really bad behaviour by the staff members as i said them i have ordered soup that showed 12 dollars for full quantity but they charged me out 12 dollars for half for 2 portion, the second i said that 2 days ago i came here it was 8 dollars for half but what they said the price have changed that to after we saw at our bill. Please don’t fool around your coustomers spice of nepal.please make it specific and clear to your team about changes. Overall i will never come here now.

Singapore noodles were really delicious, veggie momos a bit on the salty side, chicken momos were quite good. Would have preferred to compare fried and steamed Momo's.
Was expecting more decor from Nepal with some Nepali music.

Incredible! Never tasted such a variety of momos! The best quality momos you can find in Surrey. I came all the way from Vancouver just to taste their momos. The owner, Bishnu is a warm and welcoming person. Will certainly visit again!

The food was AMAZING. But customer service terrible. Food is 5 stars, tasty, huge portions, great value and amazing taste.

Customer service was terrible. The APP was not working on my phone and I tried two of my friends phones, it didn’t work on anyones phones. The reason we wanted the app was you get 10% off. The server was dismissive and rude on the phone almost as if I was trying to scam him.

On top this, our food was 20 minutes later than the expected time.

Challenging, if you want amazing food this is the place but I can’t get beyond rude and dismissive customer service. Maybe order using a food delivery service as to not deal with any of the people working there.

Food isn’t as good tasting as expected. Used a lot of salt in most of their dishes. Customer service is quiet bad. Had to wait approximately 45 mins after giving our order. Quite disorganized business in my opinion. I would highly recommend to skip this place.

Have been to this restaurant several times before and enjoyed the food. However, it changed today. Takeout order took the standard 35 min and the process of pickup was brisk. However, the food was pathetic except the veg hakka noodles which tasted normal (not great though). The honey chilli potato were actually french fries tossed in what looked like soy sauce, red chilli powder and tomato ketchup with no sesame seeds, spring onion and honey (hence the name). I have never tasted honey chilli potato which was worse than this. Veg manchurian was uncooked; it appeared as if the chef had fried the manchurian balls in very hot oil thereby cooking the crust while the core remained uncooked. I had high hopes from the food but all the hopes got dashed today. Don’t think I will be going back or recommending it to anyone.

I would have gave more stars if i can it was great experience at this restaurant. I would highly recommend. You can order anything it will be perfectly delicious for sure. Try it once love it.not only this staff is super friendly. Great customer service

I never give bad reviews but here it is, Order takeout for tandoori chicken momos and mustang chicken momos. They gave us veg steamed bland momos instead. Pathetic costumer service. Will never go again.

Great place to eat dumplings (momos) and noodles. We travel from Abbotsford just to pick up from this restaurant. Friendly staff. Though for pick-up orders, sometimes they charge for chutney, it should be included with the order!

We got the lamb Momo's, chicken Chow Mein and chicken chili dry. The Momo's and chow mein were amazing, chicken chili was average. Overall we loved the food, will definitely go back n would love to try some more food options.

Diya served the food on time and food quality was good too. She treated us nicely. It was a nice evening

I just ordered veggie noodles today and they taste absolutely disgusting. Not even cooked properly. The only thing you can taste is the chillies which made it tasteless and worse. I love their momos but everything else is what they need to work on.

Absolutely my favourite place to go for momos! I’ve tried couple different restaurants in Surrey and Vancouver, but this place is the best so far! Super affordable pricing for a good quantity of momos. The momos are so juicy and flavourful.

I dined in with these guys today. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. Especially, Diya was very polite and humble. She knows how to deal with a customers. I will recommend everybody that please go and checkout this restaurant. I am sure you guys wont regret.

Ordered an hour ago for pickup and still had to wait at the restaurant for 35 minutes for my order. Worst service

Server asked for a review, so here goes.
- Good Stuffs
1: New addiction to the Chili Chicken. Have had similar dish elsewhere, but cannot remember location so will be back to this place for more!
2: Tandoori Momos, not to my liking but my friend indicated it is a really hot oven so the burnt appearance and slight burn taste is part of it. New foods are fun though, and this was a highlight regardless of my experience. Cool food name a bonus,
3: Jug of water right away. Thank you! Don't have to wait for refills.
4: Spice recommendations on target with my demographic. Good advice.
5: Very polite and helpful server.

- Bad stuffs
A: QR code menu. Downloaded a reader, tried to scan to no avail. Battery went from 30% to nothing in less than 5 minutes. Had to ask for an actual menu which were out of date printouts. Please Do Not rely on technology. I know pricing changes, but offer a solid backup. The Drinks Menu was printed and on the table right away.hmmmm onto that next.
B: Reminded of the drink menu twice. It was snowing, and holiday season with Checkstops. Also, after hefty meal, "desert? " was the question despite having a fair portion of the meal placed into doggy bags.
I feel like maybe the servers get a percentage of sale which isn't conducive to proper service.
Will gladly go a second time, and am hoping the hard sale is not part of the great food experience.

I am sorry to say this but they have started compromising with the quality of their food. Things are not the way they used to be before. We dined in at the restaurant last month and ordered Malai Soya Chaap and House Special Veg noodles. The latter was devoid of any veggies. I seriously could not break their Chaap with my fork. The server who served us the food even saw that and apologized for it. Thinking that it could be one random time, I again ordered Malai Soya chaap today. Again, I could not break the chaap. I feel as if they rush into their preparations and are compromising their food quality. I am sorry guys, I won't be ordering these items from your restaurant now. I hope this review sends a message to their team to improve their service.

We ordered mixed vegetable chowmein and chilli chicken momos. Both were exceptionally delicious. I will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food! Love the service here, our server Diya was very polite and friendly and got us our meal on time and kept checking in our table. The tandoori momos, and the chilly chicken momos are very tasty and authentic! The biryani had just about the perfect level of spice and flavour. Overall really good place and thanks to Diya who made the experience a lot better! Will surely come again:)

Only few places in lower mainland serve good Indo-Chinese food and this place is probably one of the best. Good food and great service by our server Diya.

We went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve for dinner and it was a very bad experience. We ordered chilli chicken and chicken Manchurian which came 30 minutes Late and taste was no close to the authentic chilli chicken and manchurian. The chicken was not properly cooked and when we called the manager he was arguing that there is nothing wrong with the taste.
Extremely disappointed.

I didnt find the food authentic. However if you like a mic of nepali western style then it may be for you.

Pleased by the service I experienced there, I was there with my baby boy and my server Divya was very good with her and even suggested to get fries for him, he was really liked them.

Huge scope of improvement.

Got to know them more than 4 years, and have never been disappointed. Food is always delicious good and services outstanding.

Ordered the chilli fries and mustang paneer momos. Literally found a dead bug in my dish. The worst thing is eating half the food before finding it. Just sickening. Returned the fries and untouched momos. Will not be eating there ever again. If you're buying food from there, just look extra carefully at your food. Just yuck!

Great experience. The food was great especially the Momo's. Even the service was good. And the server was very friendly.

Really good food, it's more spicy (hot) compared to Indian restaurants. Come here for Momo and Hakka Noodles it's closest to Indian Chinese you will find in Surrey. Their thali is also good. It's a big restaurant and open till late so usually there will be no waiting.

Amazing hospitality by the owner and the dishes have spices that was refreshing and tasty.

The Momo is a must have being an authentic flavorful dish. Would definitely come again in future time.

The food is really good and the prices are totally reasonable! Kind of a sketchy location, but can't really hold the restaurant at fault for this. The food is spicy! I am half Asian and even I couldn't handle the "medium" hot level, so get mild if you can't handle heat!

Good quality food. The biryani was amazing, lots of meat and great flavor. The garlic naan was fluffy yet crispy with nice garlic flavor. The price is great, we ordered four dishes and some drinks and it came to about $60 after tax and tip so not bad. Service could be a bit better, hence -1 star.

Amazing food great friendly staff- last week I went there twice after having delicious chowmean- and Momos- great selection of food & friendly staff- best Nepali food in Vancouver and probably the only one in Canada! We

I tried their paneer momos from skip the dishes n they were good. But walking into the restaurant was terrible. First time i went their, they told that they have closed the restaurant because of more orders and that day wasn’t even weekend. The next day when we went their, we waited there for ten minutes but nobody came to take order. And, we went somewhere else.

Food was delicious but service lacks big time. 3 main courses and 2 starters. 30 minutes after we ordered we have been told one of the starters cannot be cooked cause something is wrong, so we have skipped it. First main course arrived and when half of it was gone the second main meal arrived. Just after both first and second main meals have been eaten the final third one was served - ordered steamed but received deep fried.
Still best jackfruit curry in Surrey.

Food is really good but the service is pretty bad. The server didn't come for 30 min to take the order and after she gave us food we didn't see her after that.

Overall restaurant is good with various menu options but sometimes the service is really slow both in dine in and take out.

Reminds me the taste of indian food. This was my second time in the resturant. The taste was really good. Keep it up. Spice of Nepal.

Awesome place for Chinese and spicy lovers from India. It has the proper spicy taste you crave for, must try chicken chilly momos, hakka noodles and fried rice.

I tried this place. Great options for vegetarian aswell tried there vegetarian moncho soup and also veg hakka noodles very good in taste, but service is not too good. They take long to serve food as they prepare everything as u order so u get everything fresh. Must try they have momos too. Must try.

I ordered 1 hakka chicken and 1 hakka veg noodles it was not so tasty and was not like that we thought and also ordered a cheese chilly we ordered it gravy but it was dry it was a very bad experience they should improve their service.

The food isn't authentic Nepalese. It's more of a Punjabi mix. Momos are Alps not accompanied with the traditional red sauce. The SOS is more like some gravy from a curry.
The staff is good and always smiling.
Ambience is nice. With Bollywood songs going around.

Tried vegetables momos and honey garlic potatoes. Potatoes were really good, momos were okayish. Not giving 5 star because dipping sauce was not that good and quantity of red dipping sauce wasn't enough for momos as you can see in the picture.

Came here with my boyfriend for the first time because I saw it had good reviews, we ordered the deep fried chicken momo and the noodles and chicken due to our server’s request. It tasted good, but I felt a bit sick afterwards and my boyfriend took home the leftover noodles. Three days later he finished the noodles and chicken, later feeling nauseous and sick, he almost vomited on public transit on his way to school.

AMAZING! This place is amazing. So much variety in dishes and each dish is so flavorful! I have been back a few times and have NEVER been disappointed. Their service is amazing, super friendly staff and nice CLEAN restaurant.i HIGHLY recommend visiting this place at least once when you're in Surrey.
